10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location. The room & public bath are clean & comfortably setup.
Cons: None
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location ( very quite street and still in walking distance to the main station; 5 to 10 minutes ) Excellent spirit of service of the staff ( very helpful) Family friendly ( more space if you book twin room)
Cons: No possibility to have lunch and dinner there ( only breakfast and drinks at the bar). But there are plenty other restaurants around.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and new, friendly for kids. Breakfast is good, got many choices and size of the room excellent.
Cons: Lack of car park space.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Bed is very comfort. Lot of breakfast menu. Clean and new hotel.
Cons: A bit far from Nagoya station, 10-15minutes walk.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean room with good air-conditioning and a decent number of power outlets. The shower pressure was great. And, I enjoyed the public bath, too (especially nice towels are provided there, too). There was no street noise. Staff were pleasant.
Cons: The pillows are weird. They are foldable with a hard half and a soft half, but are absolutely massive. The internet was a little slow, too. If other guests talk loudly in the hall, it seeps into the room, but as long as you are far from the elevator, it probably won't be an issue.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is absolitely clean and the bed is very comfortable.
Cons: The pillow is a specialized one but I like the ordinary pillow instead.

Cons: still hear the train's restlessness at night.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: New hotel
Cons: Pillow too soft
7.9 Good
Pros: Ambience, location and relatively new
Cons: Staff not so helpful
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The bathroom and toilet are nicely designed separately, also the room interior are superb with fantastic view. Great staff, they provide us the gift for our anniversary, very thoughtful also when we arrived, they approached my son and gave him kids amenity which makes him special. Love it.
Cons: The refrigerator in room 3616 had a problem, we stayed there for 3 nights, whenever we leave the room in the afternoon and came back at night, our food inside the fridge was not cold(seems that the chiller is off) but few hours later the chiller is working again. We suspect that everytime we took out the room card (which we need to insert when we enter the room), the power to the fridge also off. Talked this one to the staff, they said it should’t happened, they will check the problems later meanwhile they offer to chill our food and call them when we needed it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: New hotel very clean. Although it is located right next to a train station, sound proof is excellent.
4.0 Okay
Cons: the service desk/ receptionist was not friendly or helpful. first time we checked in we book for 4 ppl and the room only has 3 beds. second time we checked in the room has 2 beds. when we were checking out, we needed taxi, and the receptionist wasn't helpful and not polite. and asked for trolley to help move things down as I was alone w 2 kids, but he was impatient and I told him to leave the trolley I will settle it myself. he went back down to reception area. overall I feel service staff not helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Eveything was perfect
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is great. Clean, amazing views, big rooms, great location. Of course that comes with a higher price tag but totally worth it.

Lamp Light Books Hotel Nagoya - Nagoya - Building

8.3 Excellent
Pros: clean and comfortable hotel with nice staffs
Cons: only a little far away from the shopping areas
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel. Unique concept. Friendly staff. Spotlessly clean. Lovely location overlooking a park. Easy 15min walk from JR Nagoya Station. Happy to hold baggage before check in. Laundry facilities. Close to many eateries and convenience stores. Eastern facing Twin room (1104) was extremely spacious with lovely bathroom, comfortable chairs, window opening on to small balcony (standing room only), firm but comfortable bed, nice pillows and linen and curated book selection as decoration. Limited breakfast set available from lobby cafe for extra cost.
Cons: No hanging space for wet towels.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was clean. It was a high class sleep.
Cons: The breakfast was a bit too small for me.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location just perfect The sunshine come into the room is awesome
Cons: Staff was a little bit cool…
7.9 Good
Pros: The bed is very good, but what was awesome was the rain shower!!! I and my wife loved the shower room. I usually don't care much for the breakfast, but the sandwiches offered just looked too good to turn down. Location close the Nagoya station with all the shopping.
Cons: The staff was a little bit stiff. So unlike Japanese service people else where.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, very close to Fushimi subway station; a small park and Lawsons right across the street. The twin bedroom had a balcony overlooking the park and it was very quiet. Loved the bookstore vibe!
Cons: Breakfast was minimal, but that was expected. It was convenient, though.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A novel and sincere attempt to create a different kind of individualized hotel, with a bookshop and limited cafe on the first floor. The room was welcoming and well designed, verging on a boutique hotel experience, very comfortable bed. Recommend the simple “breakfast” , which is a choice of small savory and sweet sandwich buns and excellent coffee, a good way to start the day.
Cons: The bookstore is more of coffee table books than a complex bookstore (which probably would be impossible to mange in the context of a hotel). The hotel could have provided more information about eating places in the area, sightseeing directions etc. When asked, the staff was very helpful about looking things up on internet and printing out directions, but a simple booklet of major sites in Nagoya and how to reach them would not be hard to create and make available. The hotel is not as close to the main train station as seemed from reading a map, it would be helpful to include directions via subway. It feels as if they now have made the effort to be a bookstore/hotel but then not feel they needed to excel or personalize either one. I am not a fan of the automatic check out machine , and it seems particularly odd taking up space next to a welcoming and totally linguistically competent reception staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is good, staffs are really helpful and can speak a English. This is a brand new hotel with modern unique decoration.
Cons: The limited choices of breakfast
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This place is fairly new and well-kept. The hotel is close to a lot of facilities and sites - within about 15 mins walk of Nagoya station. If that's a little far for you, there's a taxi rank just outside. The decor is stylish and the bathroom design is great - loved the shower.
Cons: Like most rooms in Japan, expect a small but well-designed space. The price is perhaps a reflection of the hotel's hipster aesthetic appeal, rather than the room size, so may not appeal if you're looking for value for money. Think business-hotel-size room that is a bit nicer to look at. Compared to many hotels in Japan, breakfast is trendy but very limited. Expect two small, cold sliders (e.g. trendy brioche buns) and tea or percolator coffee. It is OK for one morning, but loses appeal from the second day. If breakfast is offered as an optional paid extra, save your money for an alternative breakfast option elsewhere.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel, perfect location just above the central station, wonderful service and magnificent view.
6.7 Good
Pros: Great location, large rooms with powerful shower.
Cons: The concierge in this hotel is the worst that I have encountered. Terribly unhelpful in recommending restaurants and the assistance offered in making restaurant reservation was lackluster.

Cons: NA

hotel androoms Nagoya Sakae - Nagoya - Building
5
8.8 Excellent (2,235 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Nagoya (Nagoya City Centre), hotel androoms Nagoya Sakae is within a 15-minute walk of Nagoya TV Tower and Oasis 21. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Small but very clean comfortable rooms. Convenient location. The public bath in the top floor was wonderful along with the free drink coupons which we used to bring drinks back to our room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean, quiet. Public bath and sauna at 12th floor were a good point.
Cons: According to me, very expensive during the week-end, too expensive actually. Not even a bootle a water in the room. A bit deceived by location : it's Sakae, but in a very quiet neighbourhood, not far from bars and restaurants but still a 5-7 mn walk.
7.9 Good
Pros: Lovely new hotel. Provide umbrellas to use when it's raining. The larger corner rooms with kingsize beds and extra-fancy toilets and bathrooms are fabulous.
Cons: There is a problem with the aircon in the double/superior rooms. I arrived at 6pm. The room was cute, spotless, small, BUT incredibly hot. Aircon blowing air, but warm air, not cool air, even though the temp was set to 20 degrees C (the minimum possible, can't go lower than that). Lovely and cool in the corridor outside the room, ridiculously warm inside the room. The two young people at reception showed me 2 alternative rooms (both directly below the original one) and each was worse than the previous. There was nothing else they could or would do. I asked to speak to the manager: he had gone home (it was by then 9.30pm). Asked to speak to maintenance: they had gone home. It took 4 hours (wtf?) of me waiting in a hot room or reception, while they hoped the aircon would miraculously rectify itself - it didn't. Eventually at 10pm I went back to the original room which had cooled slightly with the aircon blowing for 4 hours solidly and no occupant. I had a miserable, hot, sweaty night there. The next morning, I came down and asked for the manager again. He was there, and he was very helpful. I said I needed to move to a bigger room (the rooms are very small) as maybe the bigger room would feel cooler, and my husband (who is difficult) was arriving that day. I said I'd pay any difference (even though it was already the most expensive hotel on my trip), just get me into a room with an aircon that works! The manager was great - upgraded me to a bigger room next door to the original room, no additional charge, and in the bigger room, the aircon worked brilliantly, lovely and cool :) The rest of the stay there was excellent! The larger corner rooms are fabulous. Standard/superior double rooms are very compact (no cupboards, hang your clothes on hangers on hooks on the wall)and the aircon is woefully inadequate, especially on a hot, humid day with a typhoon about to make landfall.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great onsen.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean and modern, as described.
Cons: The Onsen only offered a sauna for men which was disappointing as we had made a choice of this hotel based on the Onsen having a sauna. The Onsen is clean and modern but small and poorly designed. There were only 2 dressing tables and 3 showers to scrub down before. Queuing naked isn’t my favourite pastime. If you are considering this hotel because of its Onsen be mindful of that. Maybe we had been spoilt with other hotels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This chain of hotels is fantastic. A perfect set of hotels. Gorgeous public baths. Great rooms. Lovely decor. Good laundry facilities.
Cons: The breakfast options could be better - like the androoms in Osaka which has an excellent buffet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location and friendly staff

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ambiance, central location
Cons: Comfort, cleanliness friendly staff
7.0 Good
Pros: I could get there from 2 stations for 10 mins by walk. It was a quiet place at night. And staffs were really kind. I would really love to stay here again next time.
Cons: I couldn't accept pinked molds into the shower stalls. And I wanted you to put wiped stuff or lint rollers at the powder rooms to remove my fallen-hair on the floor.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very close to the train station. Clean toilettes. Comfy bed. Good value for price. Common area/kitchen and bar with happy hour until 7 pm.

With a stay at Mitsui Garden Hotel Nagoya Premier in Nagoya (Nagoya City Centre), you'll be a 4-minute drive from Nagoya Station Tourist Information Center and 6 minutes from Osu. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and dry cleaning/laundry services.
4.6 Okay
Cons: Walls are thin and a lot of people banging their doors. Rooms were small. Knowing that we only staying for one night, staff gave us the worst possible room which was located close to lobby.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very comfy and quite. The views from the 18th floor (lobby) were incredible. You can access Nagoya station and shopping via a subway walkway straight from the hotel - great during the typhoon. Good location for getting to the Formula 1 at Suzuka - approximately 30 minutes from Nagoya station.
Cons: The breakfast arrangement felt rushed and cramped. Many of the hot choices were cold by the time we were seated and the overall experience did not feel well thought out.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location is good
Cons: I stayed 3 nights and the hotel arranged to us is double bed, the bed is quite small for us (2 normal ladies).
6.7 Good
Cons: Cleanliness of toilet in the room could be improved. The spa/hot bath was just hot water but it was nice overall.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The view of our hotel is perfect!
Cons: The space of our room can be bigger.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The design of hotel room and the location were nice. Many drugstores nearby and easy access to limousine bus stop.
Cons: The parking lot was full when we arrived. There are two staff at the check-in counter but we were asked to use the machine to check-in, which wasn't time-saving. We don't use pin code for credit card but the machine requires pin code, so we couldn't use the machine.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has numerous fabulous amenities and more space for staying at Nagoya. We can go to Fushimi subway easily and follow our traveling plan from here. In addition, if we find some place comfortable, peaceful and simplistic, the hotel is the first solution.
Cons: Nothing
6.0 Good
Pros: I do like the theme it's going for with the entire hotel, the product variety they offered at the lobby for personal use.
Cons: THE BED WAS HARD. I could not have restful sleep. Curtain was not effective in blocking out the sun.
7.9 Good
Pros: Near shopping mall.
Cons: Room is small.

Cons: Nothing all good

9.6 Excellent
Cons: Good location. Room is big. Can hire a bike free of charge. Ride a bike to go Nagoya castle, Nagoya tower is convenient and easily
5.0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was great, lots of varieties.
Cons: Not Satisfied - No shower curtains in the bath top, when taking a shower the water splash out on the floor.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is super clean and very stylish. Just love my stay!
Cons: Not close enough to the subway station.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The personnel were very helpful and also went out of their way to make everything right. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the junior suites are quite large by Japanese hotel standards, and well appointed. Efficient A/C with room controls is welcomed in the Japanese humid summers, and included breakfast is varied and high quality along with the serving staff.
Cons: I ONLY have two slight negatives. One is that the location isn't ideal for those using public transport. If one is hauling a couple suitcases, it's probably too far from the main train station to walk, and riding the subway one stop goes a bit too far and requires a few blocks walk back--the closest exit from the closest subway station is the farthest from the platform and requires climbing the stairs. The second slight negative is the price, it's a little high but then if you appreciate the service, cleanliness and size of the rooms, it's not bad.

7.5 Good
Pros: Staff allowed me to check in early. As at the time I was feeling unwell.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I really like the bright red and white colour scheme of the hotel, making it distinguish from other hotels which are usually in almond and brown colours. Also, the room layout is excellent, making it not too crowd though the room size is only 15 m. The decoration is also perfect, with photos of local tourist attractions to make the room more lively. Last, the breakfast is not bad with tasty food.
Cons: Nothing particular.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, close to sites and good places to eat. Room clean and comfortable, small but all I needed. Staff friendly. Fun reception area. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff!!! They speak english very well!!!! I will come again! And the rainforest shower was so nice!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staffs are friendly, room is clean and xomfortable. Location is just 5-10 mins walk to sakae.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place was perfect; it exceeded my expectations. I traveled solo and the room was just right. The staff were very helpful and kind. I'm definitely going to use Red Planet again. Only tip for improvement: hotel should put its map near the Navi maps, so that guests can help themselves. The hotel's map is most useful for navigating the many train stations around the hotel. The location is perfect for access and decreased travel time, but the many stations and exits you can use means you might always be coming from a different point.

8.6 Excellent (6,233 reviews)
Overview Reviews

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge at scheduled times, and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location, large rooms and access to the Executive lounge
Cons: The bell guy was adamant that taxis and trains weren’t operating. We knew that they were. It was frustrating eventually convincing him to call is a taxi so we could make the trains which were operating!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel for first stop on a lengthy Japan holiday. Staff were excellent - every request was attended to immediately. Rooms were big and wonderfully comfortable.
Cons: In line with many Japanese hotels the breakfast was expensive - the equivalent of £15-20 is far too high for a buffet breakfast. Similarly the small hotel bar was much more expensive that the Japanese average for a pint.
6.7 Good
Pros: Good range of European and Asian style breakfast in a pleasant setting
Cons: The gym is chargeable after the hours of 9am, which you wouldn't expect in a hotel where you're paying this kind of money per night. They should be offering free access to the gym if they want to be rated alongside similar standard hotels around the world.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: All facilities and staff were above and beyond our expectations, this was one of the highlight stays of our trip.
Cons: The aircon didnt work and our room was very hot with 4 guests in.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice in general, but the basic room is overpriced, old-fashioned and stuffy with floor carpet. View to a ceiling. Pool, gym and sauna area are a plus, but they would also need an up-grade and are pricey - would expect that hotel guests could use them for free. We only booked this hotel because we got stuck to Nagoya due to a typhoon and wanted to be in a safe place- worked well for that. Very friendly service, good amenity kit in the bathroom.
Cons: Floor carpeting, old-fashioned rooms, pricey pool/sauna area & breakfast
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff of the hotel are all very nice. From the reception to the restaurant all of them do their job to perfection. That makes the hotel a lot better than what it offers as facilities and location.
Cons: The step to the bathroom. You can mark it with yellow band to make people aware there is a step. And a little bit of colour will only improve the bathroom.
