As it seemed to be the owners showroom to other hotel related business, everything seemed to be flawless, very nice.
Excellent location, charming hotel, very romantic place. The staff is helpful, friendly. The beautiful surrunding fields and hills. Florence is about 10 minutes drive. We do recommend it to everyone.
This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The staff was incredibly helpful with everything from getting into Florence for the day to touring Tuscany to setting up a private olive oil tour and tasting. You will not believe the veiws from the terrace!
Beautiful and comfortable property. The staff was great - also asking if there was anything they could do. They recommended great day trips and excellent restaurants. The rooms were modern with great amenities. The slippers were a classy touch! I would absolutely stay here again!
Exactly as advertised! Owners could not be more helpful - lots of advice and travel brochures. Easy access to the bus stop autostrade and highways. Very good local restaurant nearby. Fluent in English and French with a decent dollop of German. No
The very nice modern rooms are designed in a good taste, the friendly helpful family that run the hotel will make your vacation wonderful
Excellent people, fluent in several langage, but...... Noisy place if the windows need to be open. (Exist climatisation in all bedroom). Near the motorway. Just bed and breakfast, no drink service, and no restaurant near. Need to take your car.
We only stayed for one night, but we found this hotel perfect. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the accommodation clean and beautifully decorated. We stayed in for the night and had a plate of cold meats, cheeses and bread with a great bottle of wine - all served to our room. Breakfast was also good with fresh pastries and coffee. We took the bus to town and left our car at the hotel so we saved on very expensive parking in Florence. As the hotel is close to the highway there is some traffic noise, but it's really no problem because the windows are all double glazed.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The whole place is very beautiful. The staff very friendly and helpfull. Rooms are big and designed in good taste, very clean. Verry peacefull and pretty. Just lovely.
Near to town, good facilities, friendly staff and good for families.
The hosts were great, especially the help when we planned our daytrips through the Tuscanny. If you want to explore the Tuscanny by car, this is the place to go. We probably hadn't seen have of the places we visited without their information. We liked it so much that we stayed one day longer. It's very close to the highway, so it can be loud at times.
Beautiful rooms, very well kept, you really feel like staying in an Italian city palace, hideaway from the bussle of Florence, helpful staff, great tips on where to go and dine Just a tip: from the bookings website, we didnt realize it would be this gorgeous...
This has an excellent location from check in to check out hotel & staff were fantastic had read some poor reviews on amother site and these are totally unjustified. We would have no hesitation in staying here again & again.
Central location and such a spacious room - we loved it! Staff, too were wonderful - friendly and helpful. We'd definitely stay there again.
spacious room, friendly staff. quite different from the pictures on the web page, a little misleading. There is no lift, no staff available from 6 pm.
I have stayed twice. To me this hotel conveys a real feeling and appreciation of the beauty and taste and Florence. Also, the location is excellent. The hotel is small and has limited desk duty. This can be a problem if you are arriving or leaving late. They leave the desk at 19:00.
Historic setting in central location Unfriendly breakfast service
The location is great, staff were helpful and the breakfast room was lovely.
Big special rooms with quiet and very good location.
This was at one time a small palace. Each room had a different planet theme. The rooms were very clean, bathrooms were large and each room had a different scent that was sprayed in the room. The breakfast is served in the original kitchen. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially the owner. This hotel is within a 10-20 minute walking distance to most shopping and sites.
Charming room, very close to major "highlights" of Firenze, very helpful personnel Most Italians speak Italian, and that's such a beautiful language that this is enough to them
The location was great as far as proximity to points of interest like Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi, Galileo Museum. The walks to other places weren't bad at all and gave the opportunity to find places to eat and shop. The river is also very close and beautiful at night and in the morning. Our room (#8) was very quiet. Breakfast was at a cafe very close by with a very nice man working each morning. I had only one issue with hot water the first morning. I emailed Daniela and she had it checked out and confirmed there was indeed hot water to our room. Never had an issue after that. Communication was great. The entrance to the building has a strong odor when the doors aren't left open during the day. Galileo has very little control over this I'm sure. Luckily enough the smell does not lead upstairs or into the rooms. Still a great stay regardless.
Good location, large, nicely decorated rooms. It is NOT a hotel, as was mentioned in your site, but B&B (no lobby and hotel facilities
the location is perfect it's a b & b
great location, all highlights in walking distance difficult to find, same breakfast every day, little bit noisy place at night (the square)
The location is wonderful, right in Piazza San Firenze. Only 1 block from Piazza della Signoria. We had a very large room. Beautiful decor, friendly staff. We did not have a safe in our room so we had to carry our money and passports with us. There was Wi-fi but no free computer to use. We did not have any drinking glasses in our room.
Central location - friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and spacious and the host was very friendly and helpful.I am recommending this hotel as we got it at a good price for Florence. The B&B is on the first floor of a building site (as 25/9/2008). It meant we had to carry our luggage up 10-15 steps in a dusty corridor and then take a lift for the remaining. It would not suit anyone with walking/carrying difficulties.
It's very central to all major visitation destinations of the city. 10 min walk to everything. Get a city view room. It's worth it! The reception desk was very helpful, calling taxi's for us and making reservations for restraints and attractions. The indoor space and rooms were beautiful! Very romantic and LARGE!!! Finding the hotel and getting in is hard. Minimal signage, you can't walk into a main corridor. You have to figure out to hit a button and explain to a person through an intercom that you are staying there, then they buzz you up. The paper for the button that says Galileo 2000 is old and worn too.
The hotel is near the center and short walk (2 min) to the cultural center of Firenze. We got a spacy room with a wonderful bathroom. Very quiet. Not easy to find.
We had to pay 10 Europ because we changed our towels.
Location was central to town. The staff. We had requested (and paid) for breakfast the next morning, which we had been told would be at 9am and cost 3 euros. We waited around until well past 9:30am (and we were tight on time to catch bus) before even seeing any staff. Our breakfast consisted of fresh bread and a pastry, yogurt and old fruit that looked like it had been on the counter for a long time. We were then charged 5 euro/person for this, and very unfriendly staff, who seemed to rushing around without any concern for guests. We quickly packed and left B&B after breakfast. While the location and room were nice and town beautiful, I think we would try and find another hotel or B&B in Impruneta due to staff and service.
Very bad and not good price.αγεναεστατοι απροθημοι και κακοι επαγγελματιεσ .κλειστε αμεσωσ αυτο το ξενοδοχειο
Rafaella and Vittoria are the best! Always very nice and helpful, they even gave us special honeymoon gift on the first day we arrived and again when we checked out. The hotel is quite new and the room is beautiful, spacious and clean. Great location, very closed to the train station, and even though our room is on a very busy street, it's quiet inside when the window is closed. There is also a very tiny little lift to bring your luggage up to the room( one person one bag at a time). We did enjoy our stay at this hotel. The breakfast is a little bit too small and it's not at the hotel but in the local cafeteria near by.
Wonderful service from the time we stepped in till the time we left! Friendly and full of initiative. Staff left wine glasses for us when she saw we had a bottle of wine in the room! Good size room 5 minutes away from the train station. Highly recommended!!
The staffs are very friendly. There are snacks and drinks in the room for free everyday. Although the carpark was not nearby, but people from the carpark come to pick up the car and drop it back to us when we need it. When we check-out, a bottle of wine was given to us from the hotel as a gift. As the lift is small, we have to carry the big luggage up the stairs. Also as the hotel does not offer breakfast within the hotel, therefore we have to go to the bar nearby and the Sunday breakfast was not as good as the Mon-Sat one.
Room was clean and tidy, decorated well, very near to city centre, especially train station. Staff was very helpfull.
Room & staff are nice none
The rooms were in excellent condition and good size. La Terrazza su Boboli is not a hotel - it is a B&B....this wasn't clear to us (although in the description we note that it is described as a b&b - but we'd searched for a hotel...)- if we'd known it was a b&b we would not have stayed. While the bedrooms are hotel standard there is not enough room for all guests to breakfast when they please and you always have that feeling that you are entering someone's house.
Rooms were comfortable and very spacious. Breakfast was great with large selection. Staff were friendly and helpful. No signage on the outside of the building so hard to locate initially. No safe in the room.
Gorgeous room, with plenty of space for all the family (2 adults, 3 kids). The ceiling was stunning, just what you want when in Florence. The bathroom was spacious and luxurious. The staff was very friendly, always willing to help. She reserved a table at a restaurant around the corner, which must have been quite difficult as it was Friday. Best meal we had during the holiday by the way. The breakfast was good, plenty of choices of breads, meats, cereals, cakes, fruit, coffees, teas, juices. From our room we saw the Boboli Gardens and it was a pleasant walk to the Ponte Vecchio. All in all recommendable! The only downside of this hotel is the parking garage. We managed to do damage to our rental car whilst trying to get out. The exit is very narrow and steep, not recommended for drivers in large cars that are not used to these kind of conditions. As far as I could see there was plenty of other parking in the area.
Large and comfortable room (with large LCD screen).Located very close to the center of Florence (15 min. walking to Ponte Vecchio). There is a nearby parking garage (15 Euro for 24 hours).Friendly owner. The owner does not speak English. No phone in the room (need to use the reception's phone).
The hotel staff were all very accomadating. They prepared breakfast 45 minutes early for us so we could leave in time to catch our flight. They also allowed us to check in, park our car and bring our bags in before noon on the day we arrived. The B&B is very welcoming, the breakfast was nicely arranged with good variety. We were able to walk into the heart of the city in no more than 15 minutes with our three children with us.
Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms, great amenities. I highly recommend it.
New hotel, decoratively and stylishly furnished. Comfortable room. Good price. Convenient location to reach the centre even on foot.
Very friendly staff, the rooms are completely renovated and have very good sound insulation, close to center.
Room was lovely, included a terrace, and continental breakfast was very good, very personal service from Mario.
The place was elegantly decorated and afforded us the space and comfort to relax . The dining room was an interesting mix of dining room / lounge area and the continental breakfast was as refreshing as our Italian hosts
Good size room, Clean and tidy, good breakfast, great location close to station and centre, friendly staff.
When i arrived Mina ( the lady working there) gave me map and showed which places must see and what buses i can take if i wanna go to some more far places - which was realy nice of her!=) i appriciated it a lot! Room was always clean and breakfast was really good ( at least for me =))If i had some questions i could easily ask mina and she was always ready to help and answer - which is a great plus!Location is good as its not exact in the center but on a quiet street so at night its fine to sleep but 10 mins from Duomo...=) i felt absolutely comfortable and safety staying in this B&B and i would stay there next time im coming to Florence.
Nice Hotel, 10 minutes walk from centre of Florence.
The room was large. Parking in Florence is very expensive and the hotel can organise a discount for 2 parking garages which saved a lot of money. Heating was very good. The bathroom was definitely not clean enough. I don't even think the shower and sink had been wiped down from the previous guests. The toilet seat was broken and coming off. The window was broken which let extra noise in. The woman at breakfast was quite rude and felt put out when asked for something so simple as coffee. Breakfast was more limited than other hotels, no eggs or fruit. Maybe my expectations were too high. We have stayed at cheaper and nicer hotels in other cities - maybe Florence is just a very expensive city.
Central location with major attractions in easy walking distance
Perfect location. Pleasant, helpful staff in an elegant old building. Steep stairs, and the communial breakfast arrangements, but to be fair, it's diffucult to see how it could be otherwise in such an old building.
Within 100 yards of the Uffizi Museum on the Piazza!!!
Ideal for tourism.Near all the main tourist attractions Difficult if you have a rental car
the location,...... reservation ,although confirmed in march, was not registered. We stayed in 3 different rooms ! ( one much smaller , the other one oké ) persuation was necessary !!!!
Wonderful staff.Great location.
Location, friendly stuff, and price. I wish shower room was little bit cleaner and they will offer to change towel and sheets everyday. However, for the price, i understand
the room was fair size, staff was friendly, internet and phone were available, room was quiet had to cross a street to see hotel staff or use internet
The hotel made me feel that i am living quite some years back in time though it was a very comfortable stay. Rooms are very private and in a very quite enviorment although location is in the city centre Lift too small and not user friendly
Dissapointed there was no breakfast as advertised as B&B, but nice cafe opposite. The Views from the roof terrace of Hotel Scarletta made up for this. Would have liked tea/coffee facilities and an Iron in room
Everything - we have stayed there many times before
Free appetizers and roof bar Directions from train station to hotel were terrible. Impossible to find, wasted over an hour tryong to find it. Please fix.
Price, location and use of Hotel La Scaleta facilities. We could have breakfast there and there was a great roof top terrace. They also had free internet.
The view from the bar was spectacular
This place is the best for "The location" to see the Uffizi Museum, 15 mins ;hear " Ole Sole Mio" and other romantic serenades till late at night on the Old Bridge.Onto Rt is Grocery store 5 mins walk to, take bus D to and from station ; do buy the bus card for the day, we used it to go to Fiesole, see the setting sun over Florence. On request the staff here was kind to book the Uffizi tickets for us in advance , Euro 14 and we just walked in without the queue.and were out in 2 hrs, trust me worth the expense .Cheerful staff . There is an indian curry restaurant turn left onto the str walk 50m ,to the right a str, walk 50M .. delicious. Not really their fault the AC packed up on the weekend , so two nights went without it, could have given a reduction for the inconvenience !! Nice people to deal with.
