10 min walk from center in quiet residential area at harbour. Nothing special, but the right thing to go to if you end up in Itea. everything OK
we liked the hotel in total.Luxurius hotel for 65 Euros, breakfast including, absolutely by the sea.Very polite and helpful staff. there was a minor problem with the bed springs.we could feel them...when in bed.
Very nice hotel, I was very satisfied Some problems with wifi
Good design of the lobby, spacious balkony, clean bathroom Bad arrangement of the closet.you could hit your head standing up at night
Staff very friendly and eficient. Very good location the sea is two steps reach and is quiet None
Efficient staff, clean, nice location Not a bad point, but breakfast did not have a big variety.
Clean, comfortable hotel with courteous staff on a quiet stretch of beach with good swimming. Breakfast had cold eggs and overall not very appealing. Central town with choice of restaurants is a 10 - 15 minute walk with not many choices in the immediate vicinity of hotel.
Verry nice hotel with excellent value for money. There is a stone mine facing the hotel on the other cost and it starts working early in the morning so if you leave you terace door opened it will most certanly wake you up verry early
The location of the hotel was very good & picturesque. Also very centrally located in the heart of the little town facing the sea.
Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Quiet location.
Considering the not-so-good reviews most hotels in Delphi received, this was a great surprise, especially since it was not ranked as one of the most recomended hotels. We chose it based on a hunch and were glad we did that. The hotel is very nice: the room was very clean (which, according to guest reviews, seemed to be an issue with other Delphi hotels), batheoom is small but clean and mostly refurbished, beds are very comforable and there is an elevator (!) (this also seems to be an issue with other Delphi hotels). Breakfast was execellant and the stuff as friendly and helpful as can be.The price is more than reasonable. We were also lucky enought to receive a room with a view (magnificent!!!). All-in-all: a great experience.
Location is great, views are breathtaking, VERY comfortable beds (unlikely in Greece), very friendly staff, good breakfast. Overall a pretty good experience. no problems, really
The friendliness and helpfulness of Dora, the receptionist, who offered very useful advice about local monasteries. Whilst having a wonderful view our room was somewhat cramped.
They waer very frenly The bathroom very small, specialy the shawer
Good location for those visiting Delphi. There are good restaurants nearby. The inexpensive ones take cash only, euros or dollars.
Exceeded expectations! Very clean and comfortable rooms at affordable price. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful.
staff was great. Good location. Air conditioning was not working. One of the main points in convincing us to stay here. Weather was beastly so nights were not great.
The wonderful view/balcony; breakfast; & location no
The lady in the reception was very friendly. Juice and coffee at the breakfast was very thin! Very noicy in the hotel and from the street.
Excellent Staff. Very helpful towards our needs and Accomodated us very well.
Our rooms had breath-taking views of the mountains and valley. The location in Delphi is excellent, right on the side of the mountain. Parking was scarce
The breakfast was very good and we had a wonderful view from the rooms. The hotel was also very accomodating about our large family group with joined rooms for the 9 of us. There was very little and, at times, no water in the room. Only one of the nine of us was able to have a shower with any water pressure. The rest of us showered with only a trickle of water and we were often not able to flush the toilets.
cramped rooms, triple rooms need to be bigger good view from balcony
Perfect, greek countryside experience. The family rooms that were connecting supported our family needs. Fantastic views. Outstanding service. Great greek breakfast. The bathrooms were pretty challenging. It would be helpful to have them updated, we only stayed one night here so no problem. We could not have done a week in the room given the bathroom situation.
The view was astonishing. Large balcony. Lobby and dining room were welcoming. Perfect location away from the noise of traffic. The room was large enough to accommodate two comfortable sitting chairs and we would have appreciated that.
The view was excellent. The bathroom was too small, only a tiny shower, very difficult to wash comfortably.
Great location with a stunning view over the gorge from our room almost made up for everything else. Room was otherwise adequate but small.Staff were very friendly and helpful (as best they could be in the circumstances) Unfortunately a large school party arrived shortly after us - lots of noise until 3am which rather spoiled our stay. On complaining we were left with the feeling that it was our fault for not complaining more at the time. Schools should only be accepted if groups are adequately supervised - the teachers did little to stop the noise and seemed to find it acceptable.
The location Lack of soundproofing.
Perfect location, splendid view and awesome room
The staff were very friendly and helpful, good breakfast, good location, got excellent value
great staff, amazing hotel-fantastic views, close to the Archeological site
Excellent location..frieindly,helpful,good breakfast all good..beds a bit small for people over 6foot
The visit to the Pan Hotel is all about walking through the ancient ruins of Delphi. The room was very clean with a wonderful balcony and canyon view. Our room had a long large tub to soak tired muscles in. It was good value for the money. Our room's air conditioner/heater did not work, so we had to leave the outside balcony door open all night to keep cool. That allowed flying insects in, which were annoying. The bathtub drain was in need of repair as it came out the floor drain if allowed to all flow at once.
Excellent location in the middle of Delphi, beautiful view from the balcony. It was quiet, had internet, easy parking on the street (at least when we were there in August), and was walking distance from everything. Its not luxury but its decent value.
We had room on the back side of the hotel with nice view of the valley towards the see. Clean and confortable room. OVerall good price/value ratio. Breakfast in a bit oldfashion room. Parking on main road.
Great location, friendly staff, decent breakfast, nice view from the room. The room could have been cleaner, but it was acceptable for budget hotel standards.
tour of Delphi This small family hotel is very good in everything - location, staff, service except the small and somewhat old shower in the toilet.
Helpful staff, good location, reasonable price (good value for the money). We were also given good advice as to where to stay at our next destination.
friendly staff, location, breakfast faulty insulation between the bedrooms
hospitallity and the never ending sea. nothing.
This hotel was closed and you changed the booking for us. My answers relate to Nafsika palace. a pleasant hotel in an agreeable small town. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the sea and only short driving distances from many places of interest. the question about other guest reviews is not applicable - didn't read them for this hotel.
Hotel staff was very polite. Excellent view from the room's balcony.
Great location and great atmosphere !
friedly helpful staff convenient location...lovely warm room with suberb views as requested shower needed some repair
Readily helped us with our luggage. Good homemade breakfast.
We could not rave enough about the hotel, the service, the value, the location.... we had such a wonderful time!!! Thanks! Not a thing.
The hotel staff is very welcoming and the decor is very nice. The view from our balcony was great and the room was comfortable. Having access to a free PC to check email was very helpful. We would stay in the hotel again and recommend it to our friends. Shower was a bit small and hard to use, but typical of showers in many of the smaller Greek hotels.
The hotel owner was really friendly.
the rooms are spare but clean. the view more than makes up for it. the staff was very courteous..
The room had a great balcony view and they had a small complimentary bottle of wine waiting for me. I got to sit in the evening drinking the wine and watching the sunset over the Gulf of Corinth. Upon leaving, every guest receives a dvd of Dephi and a bottle of ozu. Although it wasn't a problem for me as the man who checked me in carried my suitcase up, there is no lift. If you are traveling with a lot of luggage just be prepared.
Room was very clean and was a short walk to the Delphi site
good location, value for money we had a quite noisy room
Staf was friendlz and helpul.
Friendly staff. Poor facilities. Some rooms are located 2 storeys below the entrance level, with almost no view and limited natural light. The room ventilation is not adequate. The room/wc construction is extremely poor and old. in conclusion the building is not suited for hotel use. The breakfast is below average from same price range Greek hotels. This guesthouse is overpriced.
Location. We walked to ancient site and museum. Parking right up front of hotel. Shops and restaurants right next to hotel. Very nice view off of balcony. Rate good. Read all signs posted behind check-in desk. Rooms were clean and simple. A/c worked great. Breakfast was not good. Coffee tasted old and juice was watered down. We stayed in rooms a/b since we traveled with another couple. Some of the rooms pictured on website don't reflect the rooms we stayed in.
Central location and the receptionist gave us some good recommendations for the dinner venue. Our room had a great view. The bathroom was tiny, the sink was leaking. Breakfast was poor. There was a big problem at the arrival because we didn't have our reservation printed. so the receptionist sent us to the internet cafe to print it. However, the internet cafe had no printer, so we were walking up and down Delfi to find a computer with a printer. When leaving the hotel, we had to pay in cash.
The breakfast was great, the location excellent and the view from the balcony breathtaking! The air-condition system was always in high temperatures, there was no parking available near the hotel and some employees were really bad-tempered!
The location is just perfect. Very friendly. Nice enviroment
Stunnıng vıews lovely clean rooms and frıendly staff.
Very good location with beautiful view on Corint and on the other side a main street, friendly stuff, optimistic design with nice carpets,
It was easy to reach the hotel because it is located at the center of Delphi. Besides, depending on the floor, the room can be fair or excellent. We stayed at First floor and we did not have good views. However, the top rooms had an excellent view of the valley. The mattress and the pillows were unconfortable. The toilet quite old and small. Do not trust the photographs of the hotel! It depends on the location of the room.
Everything, in the middle of the town new great place. Nope just great.
Staff was great, breakfast was wonderful, overall an excellent stay!
It is a small, familiar and very clean hotel. The owners are very, very friendly and help us with luggage up the stairs and with parking to our car. They try always to satisfy our needs.
Simple and relaxed, friendly and great breakfast, helpfull staff
We stayed at the Pitho rooms for 3 nights and had a family triple room which was clean and spacious. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel extremely welcome by George & Vicky. George was very helpful and knowledgeable about the local ancient sites and the history of Delphi, which made our short stay a really great experience. The hotel itself is in a great location in the centre of Delphi, and provides a superb base to explore the surrounding area. We would certainly recommend the Pitho rooms to anyone looking for good, clean, accomodation, with a lovely friendly atmosphere.
The staff was very friendly and helpful--they chatted with us about our trip and provided recommendations for where to go and what to do. The rooms were simple and clean. Breakfast was great, and included home made condiments. The hotel is tough to find, especially in the dark. Keep your eyes out! I think parking would also be very tough in the high season, if you have your own car.
Hosts were very friendly and helpful!
Great location, parked down street in public parking, was able to meet the family, George the owner recommended a favorite restaurant which we enjoyed, could probably walk to Delphi
Very convienent to the ruins and some of our party went on an 8 hour hike while the rest of us could explore the village. I felt the effort the host family went through to make our stay pleasant. They are a hard working family.
It was lovely to be welcomed by George when we arrived - he was waiting on the street for us and was very helpful. It was a friendly family-run small hotel. We were made to feel part of the family.
Pitho was a great location, easy walk to Delphi and close to bus depot for arrival and departure. Rooms were comfortable and owner was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was not plentiful and the owner asked for cash when we checked out not credit card. Luckily that was not a problem at the time.
The views from the balcony were spectacular. Room good and breakfast very good even though we were the only guests. Receptionist helpd us carry bags up staira to our room and advise with excellent restaurant. Vary pleasant stay. No one available at ceckout to process credit card payment. Had to wait for someone to come.
Quiet location but close to Delphi site, shops, restaurants and the best view of the Korinth Gulf. Wonderful staff, friendly and helpful, excellent breakfast and a great nights sleep. A hotel with character and a staff to match.
Position of hotel on water's edge. Rooms very modern and ours extremely spacious. Too far out of galaxidi- no where to eat nearby within walking distance.
the swiming pool is very large the breakfast is not at the right level of this type of hotel, very poor for a 4 stars confort
Everything! The room was large, comfortable and modern with a big bathroom. A nice balcony with a great view over the pool and the sea (all rooms seem to have a sea view). The pool is fantastic and the sea is right behind and is safe for swimming. They served a set menu because a group was staying, but it was good food and they offered more of every course. Only 30 mins drive from Delphi Meal was a set menu with no choice. The hotel is nowhere near the town or amenities.
the location and the view from the room, close to the sea. -the swimming pool -
fantastic staff and service. Splendid view and facilities
We stayed at the Europa Beach on our way back to Athens. The hotel has magnificent views across the bay - I'm just sorry we didn't have time to spend at least one extra day there.
We arrived at the hotel and found out that the hotel was fully shut down. luckily the manager was in the vicinity and informed about the closure. no signs on the door --nothing.
Enjoyed the swimming pool - hotel did not have many clients - as such we largely had big pool to ourselves They could have done more - i.e. sold ice-creams around the pool.
Spacious, spotless and splendid. Lovely pool and stunning views from the balcony. Very relaxing. No restaurant. After driving 550 miles that day the last thing I wanted to do was get into the car to find a restaurant. I was offered chicken sandwiches but I'd already had that for lunch.and would have really loved to have a meal where all I had to do was go upstairs afterwards to bed.
It was clean and quiet. Breakfast was poor
Very nice tidy hotel by the sea, but not the most ideal for swimming in the sea. A lovely pool available The hotel is 4km out of the gorgeous village of Galaxidi.
Excellent hotel with comfortable rooms and a great pool. We had a room with a seaview which I recommend to anybody staying here, as not only do you get fabulous views over the Gulf of Corinth, but you also avoid traffic noise which could be a problem at the front of the hotel. Our only complaint concerns the location of the hotel. We expected the hotel to be in Galaxidi, but it is about 2 miles from the town on the main road to Itea. This meant using the car to get to the local tavernas in Galaxidi in the evening when we would have preferred to be able to walk.
I stayed here for only a night but the experience is extremely positive. Like many small greek hotels, Porto Lourba is run by a family - helpful and friendly people. This is a beach hotel but has the family warmth of a ski chalet. Our room is very clean, comfortable and comes with a balcony which looks out to the cottage garden and the sea .. illuminated by the full moon that night. Satisfying breakfast at the spotlessly clean garden patio looking out to olive trees, lemon trees and other mediterranean features. I would love to come back in late spring for a longer stay. Driving to Galaxidi after sunset is a very challenging task with hardly any light along the long winding mountain roads. Luckily, this hotel puts up a big sign by the road which makes it easy to spot. It is situated about 2km from the porto town of Galaxidi where there are sea-fronting restaurants.
Sea view, breakfast
Very friendly Family business, nice setting with pool giving to see and rooms with balconies. Very good value for money.
