Cons: Overated
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the peaceful sounds of nature such as the river running through the property and the birds chirping.
7.0 Good
Pros: A friendly staff and a nice location.
Cons: Staying at a room facing the pool-area will get you some noisy nights, but that is quite typical to dominican hotels and resorts, especially in vacation season. The room needed some redo, like replacing missing AC-unit covers etc. The restaurant had all sticky tables and chairs, which made us decide to eat elsewhere As often mentioned before, the river on the premises, which adds up 100 points to the nature-atmosphere, carries a good amount of trash, which should be cleaned up frequently; however, that's a never ending story...
6.3 Good
Pros: The walls and ceiling of the room were look Luke they will fall on you
Cons: The dining room table were all dirty in the crevasses. The showered had mildew
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very friendly, and accommodating. The staff in the restaurant were fabulous and attentive. We enjoyed the breakfast, and the other meals we had there. Also, we spent some time in the river. It was great.
Cons: Our room was looking over the pool and during the day it was loud. In our future stays I will make sure to inquire to be toward the side of the river. Sleeping with the river sound is so peaceful.
4.5 Okay
Pros: The restaurant & the beauty of the nature's place is a 10
Cons: The hotel is very deteriorated, the facilities were very old & extremetly rustic, tiny bathrooms, staff does not have the charm & attention that identifies Dominican Republic.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Restaurant, surroundings, outdoorAmazing
Cons: room facilities
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The grounds Pool Restaurant
Cons: No wifi in rooms
7.5 Good
Pros: The surroundings was incredible
Cons: They have a lot of groups coming in for firm events and so on, and that overcrowds the pool area and the dining area.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: River and garden area
Cons: Have to renovate bathrooms Loud music by big group, 200 people in the pool
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location next to the river is incredible. Really sets the hotel apart from most in the area. Also you don’t have any close neighbors and all the accompanying noises of the city and traffic. Great place. Second time here. Will come again.
Cons: The following are minor issues. Sharing with hotel to improve experience only. 1. There was trash on the second floor roof. We stayed in room 211 and the trash was in front of room. 2. A mango fell off on a tree in parking area and broke our windshield. It may be good to put signs under mango trees alerting people. Not blaming hotel for this. Overall really enjoyed the ambiance of hotel. Thank you

We enjoyed sitting on the porch on the rocking chairs taking in the beautiful scenery. We enjoyed the pools and just walking around the grounds. Beautiful flowers all around. Our dog also loved his time there. So much exploring to do. We also went rafting with them and I couldn’t recommend more. This place was great. And the prices were on point. You get all your meals included and only have to pay for drinks which are reasonably priced. Also hot water!!! We loved our time there I could go on and on.

Pros: Great place to stay and go on adventure trips and experience nature. Lovely clean rooms with comfortable beds and patio and chairs. Hear the sound of jungle in the morning! Staff is very friendly and helpful. We booked a canyoning trip for our two teenage kids, but our son got sick. It was no problem to cancel without charge. Staff speaks good english, lovely girl guide came with us to the butterfly garden. We strolled around the premises, there is so much to see (the plants and small river stream) and sit in the Zen garden besides the river. we booked with breakfast, lunch and dinner and the buffets were very tasteful and fresh. we came with our own rented car, this gave us freedom and was ok, but traffic is busy and difficult in the whole of Dominican republic.
Cons: Everything was great!

Pros: the view
Cons: staff was extremely unhelpful and unfriendly driving to the location was a suicide. The road to the hotel should be closed This is isolated and remote location and we could not get a dinner - we had to order

Room was clean and spacious. Sheets were clean and bed was comfortable. Shower was good with warm water.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owner was really nice and hospitable, helped us get to the waterfalls, location was great, loved the terrace for some beer in the evenings.
Cons: The room didnt have proper glass windows (only some sort of shutters) so during the night we could not really sleep due to noise from parties outside (friday night). Not a problem for sound sleepers though. There was no air-con, could use it, was quite hot.

4.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: They never cleaned the room
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff and beautiful view from the balcony. Easy to find it. It was very clean and I was alone in an 8 bed dormitory.
Cons: I spent there 3 nights but it was very noisy all the time. Wilson and Guillermo were very helpful and nice, although they spoke not so good English, but they were trying really hard. They should have a common place for the travelers, because 2 days long I thought that I am alone in the whole hostel

6.5 Good
Pros: I like watching the stars at night.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We had all inclusive and we were presented for all kinds of traditional Dominican dishes. IT WAS WONDERFUL! The variation and taste were good, and there was plenty of food. Very good experience! Access to free coffee and bottled water all day - excellent in our opinion! A wonderful local spot in the mountains, far away from "everything". Wonderful view of the mountains, things to do in the area eg. visiting the coffee factory in town (Monte Alto). Tours are in Spanish and very interesting. Very kind, sweet and polite servants. Not that good at speaking English, but very willing to communicate anyway. Exceptional good help from the owner, when we had a small accident with our car.
Cons: No cleaning of the rooms during the 4 days. We had to ask for getting our basket at the restroom emptied. And we had to ask for more toilet paper several times. Maybe the cleaning not included - that's okay. However, then they should provide information about it to their guests. The swimming pool was unfortunately not very clean
7.5 Good
Pros: Authentic Dominican food experience. Staff very pleasant. Grounds were beautiful.
Cons: My wife was not used to rustic camp setting. This is not a 5 star property but an excellent experience for those who enjoy the camp holiday.

Pros: The owner was super friendly, he drove us to the waterfall (very nice trip, recommend :-) he also drove us to the bus station on the day we left which saved a lot of time for us - very nice of him. The neighborhood is very quiete, nice and safe The owners offerd a dinner to us on the day we came - very tasty pasta, we really enjoyed it :-) We had nice conversation, couple of coffees and tea with the owner (he lives in DR for several years, being a french men with dominican wife so they can talk spanish, french and English - perfect!)
Cons: There was an error on booking with the location, we thought it will be in centre of Jarabacoa The place is actually 30 minutes walk from Colombo Cunda (minimarket on the way from Buena vista to Jarabacoa), usually the bus (we took Caribe Tour) dont stop here at all, fortunatelly the driver stop for us, otherwise I think we would not be able to find the place There was no hot water for the whole time and unfornutelly it was quiet cold and rainy all time we stayed. But with the water it is comon in DR so :-)

5.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: $ paid for room
5.0 Okay
Cons: Extremely dissapointed with my stay at this place. Honestly they should not even be available in this website because the most important thing in any type of hotel is Cleanliness and this place lacks this in a major way. Everything was wrong since the beginning. First of all there was no one in the reception. We had to make our way in by ourselves and figure things out by orselves. There was heavy rain which made everything more uncomfortable. The common bathroom was a mess and was dirty, flooded with no toilet paper. The room was extremely dirty. The ceiling was full of dirt. The blankets were wet. The worst part was the towels which were extremely small well basically kitchen towels and two for four people. We had to ask for more towels and they were humid and old with different patterns when towels should all be in good conditions and have the same patterns. The shower had no curtain which made everything wet and the rug was horrible. The toilet gave us some trouble also. Like others mentioned the place has the potential to be nice but there is just too much dirt. When we connected a hair dryer the power went off. Overall security was lacking but the main problem is that they need more employees only one lady in charge. We had to wait for our room. Our room had three dictonaries inside which were full of dirt and everyone left with allergies. I hate putting this kind of reviews but honestly it was just not fair. Either you have the budget to keep up a place or you just close it. My advice either pay more or pay less but stay away.

Pros: The location is beautifully tucked in this mountainous area of Dominican Republic. The grounds here are beautiful. River, mountains, and beautiful gardens. The drive from Santo Domingo took us through amazing mountain and valley views and the rich agricultural throughout our drive was astounding. The staff were helpful and very friendly and made us feel very welcome.
Cons: We really enjoyed the Ruver Club. About the only thing that could use some attention was some repair issues with our room. The sliding screen door was off track which we were able to make work but the screen could use some repair. The bathroom in our room was quite small with a shower that felt like a phone booth... a bit tight with a hand held shower wand.
