Pros: The lady who was there to run the B&B was very nice and helpful. Breakfasts that we had was very good
Cons: I was not aware that the staff did not speak any English so that was on us for not knowing Spanish. It was our 1st time at a B&B and I thought you may be able to add more meals other than breakfast. I did not do my homework very well before as I did not realalize the location was quite a distance from the main 2 towns.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The lake right there. The pool. Kayas, bikes, great breakfast. Peaceful place. And Doña Petrita so gentil.
Cons: I prefer to pay with credit card and the wifi wasn't very good.

7.5 Good
Pros: Loved the pools and space in the rooms.
Cons: Old rooms need to be remodeled!
7.5 Good
Pros: Thermal waters lovely. Enjoyed being able to play a game of pool. Pleasantly surprised to find a fridge in the room (wish we had known). There is a little shop on the property and prices were not overly exaggerated. Coffee was provided at reception (we brought our own coffee pot, so I can't comment on the quality of the coffee). Across the street was a small family-run restaurant called El Globo that provided a delicious breakfast including hand-made-on-site-tortillas for a very reasonable price.
Cons: Spa services overpriced (for a Mexican spa). No OXXO close - so pick up any little grocery needs before getting to the the hotel. One thing that was off-putting was the silt in the water when using the jacuzzi tub in the room.
Los Dos B&B Villas - Jocotepec - Building
5
8.9 Excellent (30 reviews)
9.6 Excellent
Cons: The proprietor is at times difficult to reach, but they work very hard at maintaining the property, as well as overseeing the (delightful) local staff. However, they are extremely accommodating and helpful. The pool was dirty (not that I cared!) Although it is a wonderfully pet-friendly property, the proprieto's three dogs are often permitted to run loose. This at times was a problem when I walked my enormous, growing, still-in-training (neutered) Shepherd puppy. The four of them had issues. The shower in the full bathroom seemingly can't decide between scalding hot and very cold. There are no instructions given, written or verbal. Otherwise, near enough to Paradise for me!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: very good
Cons: tv
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff and owner were all very nice. The gardens are beautiful, as is the view.
Cons: The room was not cleaned once while we were there. (Many dead flies on the floor, bathroom was dirty) The place is very old , which is fine, but nothing has been updated in a very long time and much of the kitchen supplies, etc., should have been retired years ago. Lighting was poor. Very little hot water.

4.2 Okay
Pros: The facilities itself are beautiful. Stunning little oasis in the middle of nowhere.
Cons: Customer service was lacking, timeliness of room was nonexistent. Our room was not ready upon our arrival, nor at check-in time. My husband and I had to get dressed in one of the therapy rooms due to that. I was looking forward to the overnight stay and massage. Unfortunately, I woke up with what looks like bed bug bites all over my arm. I let reception/management know and all they said was “we fumigate every week. That can’t be from us”. My husband was uncomfortable at that point so we cancelled the massage therapy scheduled. I really wanted to enjoy my stay, but it came short of that.
7.5 Good
Pros: Room
Cons: Slow service for meals.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely, quiet spot. Listening to the birds while reading on a deckchair by the pool was glorious. The food was decent and they made a pretty good bloody mary. The service, however, was particularly slow and it took a long time to check in.
Cons: The service at El Chante was friendly but slow. It takes a long time to check in. Note they cannot separate the beds - couples only! Note also, there is no view of the mountains or the lake from the common areas.
6.7 Good
Pros: The valet parking guys are so nice! They were the most attentive to us during our stay, really provided an outstanding service and really compromise to make us feel welcome
Cons: Reception staff was not so nice, they were like really serious and not warming as they are supposed to be when you are facing customers on their arrival. Staff on the restaurant was not enough and service was slow, food was ok but not spectacular
