10.0 Excellent
Pros: The use of the swimming pool was a real bonus after a hot day. The bedroom was spacious with a large comfortable bed and the breakfast was magnificent, fresh bread, brioche, meat and cheeses, crepes, yoghurt, homemade jams and freshly squeezed orange juice, all perfect. The host was friendly and welcoming despite our lack of French and her lack of English, we were provided with garage space for our motorcycle. We couldn't have asked for any more.
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful late 18th century stone building airy and cool. Great location in the old quarter by the impressive church and next to the Priory (now a very good Spanish restaurant with authentic paella - worth a visit) Lovely garden for sitting out in the evening. We had a 1st floor spacious garden room with a lovely big bathroom. Very quiet, airy and peaceful. Sadly, the Gaugin painting on our bedroom wall wasn't an original! The period dining room is lovely and breakfast was superb with fresh croissant and homemade yoghurt and crepes. Bread with many jams and local apple juice. If you are staying overnight Friday into Saturday then the street market takes up nearby parking but less than 3 mins through the park to plentiful parking. Great location in this historic town.
Cons: The bed was quite firm but we were only staying one night on our way down to the Loire Valley. Had we stayed longer we would have asked our helpful patron for a foam topper on the mattress.

Pros: If you want a quiet, calm place to stay, this is it. It is also alongside the Brest to Nantes canal near a lock with cycle path alongside and bicycles can be hired at the hotel . It is 4 kilometres to walk along the canalside to Josselin. The hotel is in large grounds with lots of space for children to run around and a small bouncy castle in the garden far enough from the hotel not to be noisy. Continental breakfast is served in a bright room with yoghurt, crepes, fruit ,croissant, cereal and jams etc. We had evening meal in a separate dining room with a surprisingly good menu, my husband is a coeliac and they were helpful with gluten free choices and the meal was delicious. 7.0 Good
Pros: Location was good Kettle in the room Late checkout
Cons: Room was small and pokey very stuffy View from bedroom window not good Shower was dangerous large step to get in the shower tricky getting out very unsafe Thought very poor value for what I paid
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A traditional logis overlooking Josselin Castle and the Nantes-Brest Canal. Paying an extra 5 euros for a room overlooking the castle was well worth it. Helpful staff and a spacious dining room (with option to eat outisde on the terrace).

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location and friendly reception
Cons: Dinner - not as good as one would have expected from the class of hotel
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was good and scenic
Cons: The room was small and very hot as no aircon or fan. The bathroom was probably installed in the 1950's and the towels were small and threadbare. The bar was closed on Saturday evening and all Sunday. In the restaurant on Saturday evening service was poor and our wine bottle was open and just plonked on the table whilst a couple next us were asked to taste the wine before being poured.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location next to the Nantes-Brest canal and opposite the Chateau. Evening meal in restaurant was superb and attention to detail from the waiting staff was excellent. Breakfast was also excellent. Will definitely return and would highly recommend.
Cons: We happened to be there the weekend of the French heatwave and so not having air conditioning was an issue. However, it is extremely rare to have 37’C heatwaves so not having air-con would not normally be a problem. It would not stop us from booking here again.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Right at the end of the cycle path to Josselin. A sight for sore eyes after more than 50km cycling. Clean, comfortable, great shower, a stone throw from the castle and the centre.
Cons: Nothing really
5.8 Okay
Pros: Wonderful situation opposite the chateau and worth paying extra for a chateau view room
Cons: It had just been sold and bar and restaurant were closed for inventory. This spoilt our stay and we feel we should have been notified.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Comfy room with lovely views, good staff keeping room clean, they are very personable. Food good and well presented. Lovely lounge very atmospheric, with good outside dining and lounging, excellent walks by the river or boating.
Cons: The shower head in my room did not benefit the good supply of hot water and is in need of simply changing for a needle jet or something a minor point with an easy solution

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Little breakfast room, use of fridge, clean room, easy access and parking, excellent for cycle path, (thanks to a previous reviewer for that mention!) close stroll into town.
Cons: Not really a problem but you need to be aware about arriving before 6.30. Restaurant and bar closed in evening too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Happy to store our bikes, a warm and comfortable room with comfy bed and lovely hot shower, great breakfast
Cons: Nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: Hotel position easy walking distance of a lovely town. Plenty of free parking.
Cons: Disappointed that the bar closed at 6.30pm, booking information did make this clear. Also we had trouble accessing the bedroom area, my husband hurt his hand when trying to open the property door by a key code. No kettle facilities in room, this area was down 2 steps of stairs. Minimal breakfast, not worth 5euros
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Close to town Centre and very amenable for the money . Rooms more than adequate for us as just passing through for the night on a cycle tour .
Cons: N/A
6.8 Good
Pros: Good location near the canal and a short walk into town. The staff were friendly and welcoming and stored our bikes safely for us which was appreciated. Basic but quiet and clean room. The bed was comfortable and the shower, although small, was good. Bathroom spotless. Pleasant enough shared kitchen area.
Cons: The credit card machine wasn’t working so we had to pay cash. The WiFi wasn’t working either. The room was a little too warm for us even with the window open. Lurid colours!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The facilities were clean, comfortable and the staff were friendly. We had access to a kitchen area with kettle, coffee maker, microwave and fridge and teabags, coffee, milk and bottled water we're available. We had breakfast in the restaurant but could have had a self service breakfast in this area.
Cons: No view from the window and it isn't in the smartest of places but the price reflected that. The rooms are part of a building with an obviously very popular, reasonably priced local bar and restaurant. However the restaurant was not open the evening we stayed but we were recommended to another restaurant nearby.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean price
Cons: Restraint not open in evening
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was simple and self serve. The bread and croissant was beautifully fresh and delivered each day on time, and there was butter, jam, water, coffee, chocolate, orange juice and various teas along with yogurt and fresh milk. A disadvantage having no running water in the breakfast room however. The lunch served in the restaurant below was amazing! The other diners were mostly plumbers, electricians and builders, and we all sat down to a wonderful meal of starter, main (huge!), cheese, dessert, cider, wine and coffee for less than 13euros!
Cons: Our room was clean and fresh, but really tiny, with no storage at all, and only a curtain to screen the en-suite. OK for short stays, or for a single occupant.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: hotel is in the middle of a beautiful ,quiet ,peaceful village
Cons: the light in the room
7.5 Good
Pros: The reception closed at 6.30 pm but a member of staff stayed on as we arrived 3/4 hr late. She was very pleasant and helpful telling us about breakfast and suggesting we park our motorbike round the back of the hotel close to the building rather than in the large car park.
Cons: The room was very compact and bijou but it was quite adequate for one night.
