Pretty sunsets and delicious food. Loved the pool, poolside drinks and nighttime entertainment. The beach was great for snorkeling and swimming.
There was a wedding going on and the music was loud but I did enjoy it.
The view was magnificent. ..the pool was nice. Staff was friendly. Very clean
Did not like the $75 fee at the end for incidental. We were told that horrible rental equipment was free booty Moore were free wifi was free and all of that was tacked on to our room rate at the very end to be careful. We didn't use any of those items except for wifi. So for over $300 and nights I think those things should be included
Highly recommend the cottages, very peaceful and private. Loved meandering along the beaches/trails. If you're willing to walk a bit you can claim an entire beach to yourself. We left our child with the grandparents, but it seemed like a great place to bring kids, very family-friendly. Staff were professional, helpful and friendly.
Food was okay, not great. And expensive. We spent about $400 for meals during a 2-night stay for 2 people.
Quiet & relaxing. Super service from staff, especially Brian & Eric.
Excellent cottages. Oceanfront indeed! Excellent areas to run nearby the beach.
The food was pretty mediocre and the staff though perfectly polite seemed somewhat tired...? Hard to explain. There was a lack of energy in the staff.
Decor of room and view are great. Love the bathroom set up. Fresh sushi at Surfer the Bar was a plus
Food at pool bar and Ola was mediocre at best. Spa could have used a few more amenities (steam room, jacuzzi)
Rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Service was professional and accommodating. The grounds were clean, view couldn't be beat, and the food was delicious. We couldn't be happier, and have made it an annual get away for ourselves.
Loved the grounds, views, and facilities.
The bathroom quality was sub-par considering how nice everything else was.
It's in a jaw dropping location and has access to a fab range of local services including a beautiful golf course.
The hotel decor is in desperate need of renewal. Our bath was chipped, very tatty bathroom. The ocean view room actually overlooked the kids pool and was noisy. We were on a romantic break and disappointed to be in twin beds rather than the kingsize advertised. I was very taken aback to be told that, on top of the room charge quoted online, there would also be a compulsory daily 'resort' rate plus the hotel would hold a $150 per day holding deposit in lieu of meals etc charged to the room. I'm still waiting for them to refund the deposit even though I settled the bill in full at checkout. Also it seemed understaffed: we queued to check in, to use the concierge service, to eat breakfast, to use the business centre.
the room just above the wild ocean, the quiet beach, the parrots, the good restaurant
pool, fitness classes
dining options limited
location is great on the beach very laid back but maybe a bit slow paced for non romantic or relaxing vacations
Concierge was absolutely useless I quote "there is nothing really to do in Honolulu it is like any big city" we had to drag information out of them and this was with more than one concierge. Room advertising is misleading much smaller
Everything except the very poor service at dinner in the Palm Terrace Restaurant Sunday night 21Dec08
see above - food was great but the service prior to the irregular arrival of the various dishes was a circus. Our meal was 'compted' but the experience was bizaare for any hotel charging the rates we paid.
sunday brunch..yum :9
Friendly hotel staff.
Very expansive compare with the quality of hotel, poor, and used hotel rooms ! Poor quality hotel restaurants on high prices !!!
We loved particularly the two magnificent and lovely ara parrots, Ula and Ikaika who welcomes -at their way- the customers in the lobby ! They are beautiful friends !
Dressing gowns in the bathrooms would be a plus.
nature, ocean, luxury, being a princess, the staff, the turtles
