Great location to walk to shops and restaurants. Clean. Nice staff.
Very small beach and public. Dated . Small pool.
The staff was its usual nice self.
I only get a room at the King Kam for Brew Fest, I live in Kona. After brew fest was cancelled, I decided to use the room anyway. Have a night on the town without driving. $364 for a 2nd story room, at check in I asked for free parking since the event had been cancelled. I was told "sorry, no" at check in. No special considerations from management whatsoever.
Location is great, and the room is clean.
The fire alarm kept going off in the middle of the night, and this place is overpriced.
Convenience and beauty of beach plus kayak rentals right on hotel property were wonderful aspects of this stay. Traveling for business, alone, it felt safe and comfortable to go anywhere, anytime. Security was clearly present and well run 24/7, yet not obviously in sight. Retired from law enforcement, it is second nature to notice such things. Also, I did not intend to stay in a resort in the busy resort area. Travel plans changed necessitating lodging here and I am so happy that happened! It was such a laid back, personable and non-pretentious yet beautiful place with wonderful staff, I intend to return with family for vacation.
The only thing I can think of is the rug needs replacement in area of meeting rooms. That said, I overheard someone who appeared to be corporate management pointing that out to someone else. Actually, just remembered - yoga mat was filthy. That was not representative of the experience I had so I forgot about it. Mats should be replaced &/or frequently inspected for cleanliness. Leaving it to guests to wipe down after use is not sufficient. As a yoga teacher, I know that people do not adequately clean after they use.
Great location in Kona, right beside the beach. pool and bar area is excellent. Breakfast being included in the room rate is a welcome bonus.
wifi connection was not very strong in the room No room service from the restaurant bar. parking is charged at $25 per day. it really should be complimentary considering the room price.
