Pros: I liked the cute sitting area and the murals...very nice young man who was on property for guests.
Cons: For those who have a hard time walking up stairs, it is on 5th floor. It was fine with me and the young man insisted on carrying my backpack down!
Pros: Amazing mountain views, air con is major plus, staff very helpful. location is perfect too, close to all main attractions and restaurants.
Cons: Great place. Only drawback is that it is pretty small so you won't meet many travellers, and it is up 5 flights of stairs. Breakfast is average as they cook eggs in the morning and microwave them and meat when your ready.
Pros: Very modern, comfortable and safe. On a very hot summer's day I was very grateful of the air con inside. In a good location, including within walking distance to shared taxis heading south, and near plenty of restaurants and shops. Simple, ok breakfast.
Cons: Minor issue that may influence some is you have to walk up 5 flights of stairs to get there.
Pros: I like the staff best Mr. Ravshan and Mr. Ismail. Super friendly guys who can assist you anytime. Hostel is clean, comfortable and located pretty close to the Museum, cable car, the river, etc. I would love to stay there again!
Pros: Good location Friendly staff
Cons: Breakfast just so so
Pros: This hostel came as such a surprise, I never expected to find somewhere so great in Khujand. The staff were very kind, the beds incredibly comfy, with individual light and socket, the breakfast was a nice extra touch and the whole place was incredibly clean. The location is excellent, right in the centre and close to a supermarket and several places to eat.
Cons: There really is nothing bad to say, everything was perfect!
Pros: Nice staff, perfect location
Pros: Good WiFi, perfect location, breakfast was fine, beds good and nice people.
Cons: Toilet was pretty dirty. I had to move rooms the second night as the other was booked, but upon payment at checkout, I was asked to pay a higher amount for the other room despite never being told it would cost more. Once I pointed out the issue, I paid the correct amount.
Pros: Adequate for a quick stopover in Khujand.
Cons: Stayed in better hostels for a better price than this
Pros: Kind staff, ready to assist you.
Cons: Walking up to 5th floor with bags where no elevator.

Fitted with a balcony, the units offer air conditioning and feature a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with bath or shower and free toiletries. A microwave, a fridge and stovetop are also featured, as well as a kettle.
Pros: The location is good, close to the Park Kamoli Khujandi and newly open cable car station. Bank and supermarket are within 1 minute walk.
Pros: It’s a flat, in a 5 min walking from the center of Khudzhand. It has everything you need. Even the internet that you can carry with you.
Cons: You need to call the owner - it’s hard to find the office. But people are so friendly, that you can ask somebody to call, if you dont have local sim card or have no connection.
Pros: 50 yards to main shopping road and 200 yards to forrt/museum and best restaurant in town. Owner speaks good Russian, English and German.
Pros: Perfect location, the owner is polite
Pros: Location is perfect... close to everything. Great value for money. Spacious apartment. Anisa is a great help!
Cons: Office was a bit hard to find. When we called anisa everything was quick and easy though!
Pros: Quite and comfortable appartment with all the essentials in a central location. Owner Anisa spoke excellent English and was very helpful. Wi-Fi worked well.
Pros: Spacious, location
Cons: The address is not correct, bedding was wet, not toilet paper, host didn't reply to messages about check-out.
Pros: internet access, as in the rest of this country, is slow and oftentimes inaccessible during peak hours.
Cons: excellent host. central location close to main bazaar and mashrutki transport hubs.
Pros: While my overall score may seem low, I really want to convey the owners are lovely, friendly and trustworthy people and it is a good apt. With some improvements made, including more accurate description, this could be a perfect place to stay in beautiful Khujand! The apt. itself is super clean, comfortable and modern.
Cons: Firstly, I hate haggling as a tourist and so I try very hard to avoid taxis by carefully selecting properties that are centrally located and conveniently near public transport. I was both confused and disappointed when (after taking the marshrutka to the property address) I found out that was actually just the owner's home office and she still needed to drive me to the property itself. Property description should be accurate and it was confusing in this case. Secondly, the apt has no WiFi. Instead, the owner provides Free local SIM card (which some might actually prefer) - but unfortunately my phone was incompatible. Again, a more accurate description would have been appreciated. Thirdly, the curtains were all too narrow to block the windows. So I was up everyday at 5:45 because the rising sun shines right through my bedroom window. Also, one cannot dress too casually (comfortably) because neighbors in other buildings can potentially see in from many different angles. Finally, and this is just a quibble: the owner should provide 'normal' toilet paper instead of the very cheap and very coarse Soviet-era paper.

Pros: Very nice and clean new apartment, helpful staff and good location of the hotel. Spacious bedrooms and bathroom. Really nothing to complain!
Pros: Breakfast can be ordered (be sure to know the Russian words for what you want) and brought to the apartment. Kitchen is equipped with fridge, cutlery, glasses and tea set. No chairs or table.
Cons: Would be nice to get an English/Russian breakfast menu. We ended up with a funny combination of milk, tea, bread and fruits as we did not now the words for butter, honey, jam etc. Also, English explanation of TV would be good.
Pros: very nice spacious and clean apartment.
Cons: only if they put phone to call the reception, as you have to go there each time you want something, otherwise all was ok.
Pros: Extremely courteous and helpful staff, thank you all! The hotel is located right next to Sur-Darja river with about 10 Mins. walking distance to city center across the river. It is inside of an apartment complex and the apartments are rented as hotel rooms, so you really get your own home away from home with lots of space to spread out. When asking for recommendations on where to go for dinner, we were pointed to very yummy places and even our taxi there got organized. The host is just amazing, if you are into Yoga, she even teaches classes daily! Whenever we will returnto Khujand, we'd definitly stay there again!
Cons: The apartment we had (No. 8) had a well working aircondition, but located in the living room only, which has no direct connection to the bedroom. In our case the weather was rainy and on the cool side, so opening the bedroom window - eventhough street sided - worked well, but for the real summer heat I guess this would need improvement.
Pros: The whole apartment is for you.
Pros: Location and staff are great. The room and hall and kitchen are in large size. However, the mattress is not very comfortable. Overall, I could go there and stay for my next trip.
Cons: Mattress was not comfortable.
Pros: Friendly helpful staff
Cons: Property misleadingly advertised as having a sofa bed which did not exist. Was just a normal couch. Expensive for standard. Apartment 8 also had a really hot floor in parts which made it uncomfortable. Wifi access limited
Pros: Helpful and honest staff. Great breakfast!
Pros: Helpful staff (one guy is even speaking German). Just stayed for one night in our way through Khujand.
Pros: Nice location near a beach. Friendly staff and atmosphere.
Pros: 1) One of the best breakfasts I have had in Central Asia. 2) Daughters could communicate well in English, helped me to get to the car station, so I could find transportation to the Oybek border. 3) It was next to the bazaar so I had the most authentic experience staying there for 5 days. Fruit sellers and stalls all very honest about prices and were friendly. 4) One of the helper/neighbours was extremely kind and sincere, she shared her homemade drink with me. I miss her very much. Thank you for your warmth.
Cons: The bathroom was not very clean. There were many flies.
Pros: Once the place is clean, what mskes the difference between s good place and a bad one is the willingnes of the host family to help you. And here they go out of their way to do so. Definitely an excellent place to stay
Cons: Maybe the wifi could be a bit faster
Pros: Really nice place and respectful stuff. Very friendly family. Definitely I recommend it.
Pros: Rooms were clean, Air Conditioning, good location and clean bathrooms with hot and cold water.
Cons: WiFi is extremely slow - practically useless. Didn’t know where the staff stays for when we had questions.
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the room had a desk as well, and enough space for my luggage. Toilet and shower are in separate rooms (good since they're shared), there was a small central sitting area and kitchenette (although the fridge was off on arrival). The lady and daughter who met me were nice, with the daughter speaking quite good English. Wifi, once it worked, was actually quite good.
Cons: The guesthouse was tricky to find..down a side driveway, behind a building, through a gate and down to another building with no signs or anything to indicate it's a guesthouse. Without my driver calling I would never have found it. It's a strange set up...no reception...a central kitchenette with a 4-bed dorm and shared bathroom on one side, and through a door on the other side another two rooms with shared bathroom facilities. The information on the listing is a little confusing...for the double room it says shower, toilet, and also shared bathroom, shared toilet. I was expecting from the photos that the double bed room had its own bathroom but it actually shares the toilet and shower with a second room. I was fortunate no-one else was staying so I had the place to myself otherwise I think it could have been a bit noisy. It's not a big deal - just different to what I expected. Breakfast was adequate but nothing special - two uncut cucumbers and tomatoes, two fried eggs, some bread, tea - and despite organising the time the night before, I had to go chase it up. The place has the potential to be really good, but on the night I stayed needed a bit more finessing.
Pros: They upgraded me from a shared room to a single room (yay). Owners can speak passable English with their daughter speaking good English. Clean! Very comfy and best breakfast in my whole trip. Near the bazaar. So easy to take public van to go to your next location.
Cons: Hard to find! It's near the bazaar but you have to enter thru a green metal gate near the car park. It is in a residential area. Even after that, the building no.21 is not the building. It's the white building on the right with a small sign sharq 21. Do not attempt to find this place at night lol.
Pros: The management did not speak English, but they were still very friendly. There is a fan and tv in the room, although just Russian channels. Great location right next to the market.
Cons: As you might expect for the price, shared squatter toilets only and shared shower for everyone. Not a bad thing, just something to keep in mind.
Pros: Decent breakfast and good facilities. Beds good and comfortable. Staff friendly. A good place to rest.
Cons: Wifi poor and staff not able to help with travel enquiries unfortunately.
Pros: It’s a surprisingly comfortable guest house. Nice location in a quiet corner just behind the lively bazar. The friendly owner family lives next door if you need help, otherwise we didn’t see them a lot. Breakfast was the best we had in Central Asia! We enjoyed our three nights very much, and could easily have stayed for a week. (And if you need a drink there are liquor stores in the main building of the bazar, just ask the owner!)

Pros: Very friendly staff
Cons: Amenities could have been slightly better but it was made up by the accommodating staff!
Pros: Very clean and comfortable.
Pros: Helpful staff Very nice rooms
Cons: The location is far from the city. need to take taxi to go anywhere
Pros: The main thing was that at breakfast they had coffee machine, which was hard to come by in the region. The sheets and bathroom were all right, quite clean and the room was spacious. Bus #3 goes to the hotel from and to the center.
Cons: First of all, the staff were very unhelpful. We were going to cross border to Tashkent from there and knew that there is a bus, but the reception lady told us that the bus was cancelled and was pushing their partner taxi company for triple the price it costs to get to the border by taxis. If you need to do this, there is a bus Khujand to Tashkent at 8 am every day from Rokhi Abreshim station. There are also a number of shared taxis from there to the border. The rooms had very old furniture, floors were very dirty, probably not cleaned for months. Overall, this hotel was the most expensive of all hotels during our trip in the region and definitely the worst. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
