Kimball motels

Don't. Just don't. The only nice thing I have to say is the bed was comfortable. I would know as I stayed awake all night imagining fleas and bed bugs after killing 3 different types of bugs throughout the room before bedtime. This was a last minute trip and the Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn were booked, so we went with this just to keep from disappointing our children. Big mistake! The room was a non-smoking, but one of the quilts was filled with cigarette burns. I flipped it back to get the nastiness off the bed and was horrified to find brown stains on the blanket beneath. I have convinced myself it was chocolate as the alternative is too horrific! When we called the front desk the lady said she would bring another blanket, "if she could find one". What else...everything was coated in dust, the sink leaked all night, the toilet flushed so hard it seemed to want to suck you and anything in the vicinity down with it, and there were stains to match the blanket running down the wall by the toilet paper dispenser. Oh and the sink had no drain plug. Very appetizing to stare at brown gunk and hair clogs while brushing your teeth. Also, there was old bar soap all over the tub ledge from a previous occupant's soap. And the ceiling bowed under the weight of black mold over the shower, but there was enough latex paint on it that it stretched to dangle perilously over your head while you rinsed your hair under the 5ft high showerhead. We should have gone ahead and stayed in Chattanooga, or even the car.
