Pros: One desk clerk in particular was very good to us when we checked in and accommodating with our 2 year old. Otherwise the only recommendation I can give is it wins best hotel by default. All others in town are horrid.
Cons: There were only 6 or so guests in a 3 floor hotel and a loud family was placed in the room next to us with an adjoining door. Everyone could've easily had their own wings to themselves on each floor. Pool was broken but that happens.
Cons: Room was very small. Overpriced. Did not really accommodate rollaway.
Pros: The staff was very accommodating and helpful.
Cons: They need another towel rack next to the sink located outside the bathroom.
Pros: Friendly staff. Clean rooms.
Pros: Very friendly staff!! My stay was amazing, very comfortable bed, & I would definitely recommend.
Pros: The beds are very comfortable. Some of the staff were extremely nice and helpful. Loved that the swimming pool towels actually were regular towels and went around you instead of other hotel swim towels that barely cover you.
Cons: I wasn't to impress with the breakfast and some staff weren't very accommodating. Also wished that the pool was warmer.
Pros: Bed comfort was so nice I did not want to go.
Cons: Pricing too high
Pros: Clean and reasonable in price
Cons: There was no one at the front desk at breakfast. We had a question and I heard someone in the room directly off the front desk say 'Who's supposed to be out there?' and the reply was 'I don't know.' The girl in the breakfast area was very helpful though.
Pros: Close to Truman.
Cons: No hot tub. Bathroom to small. Bed hard. Worst part was breakfast. Your new commercial with Rob Wriggler brags about your breakfast and promises bacon and eggs and more. There was No Bacon and food was so horrible we had to buy breakfast. Not happy.
Pros: Convenient location
Cons: The bed was too firm and the pool could have been cleaner.
Pros: Room was clean and had a good continental breakfast.
Cons: Furniture needs updating.
Pros: Commons area - swimming pool area, game area, dining area, sitting area. Bar on premises
Cons: Smelled like smoke in back entrance
Pros: The staff helped us to get a few items for breakfast since we had to leave before the hotel's continental breakfast was ready.
Cons: We had a long day on the road and was looking forward to relaxing at the hotel by watching tv at the hotel and using the wi-fi. Unfortunately, shortly after we arrived, the cable TV and wi-fi went out. We were told that a truck ran over the cable box and they were working on it. It wasn't fixed before we left. Disappointing.
Pros: Not much
Cons: Most everything. Couldn't get cell service inside room.
Pros: Very nice room. Clean, relatively new, comfortable beds.
Cons: Free breakfast was not so great.
Cons: Breakfast was lacking. Pre packaged muffins, danishes, and yogurt.
Pros: Everything was wonderful except the breakfast. Bananas were overrripe and covered in bruises, low quality powdered eggs and sausage. The room was amazing tho and the beds so comfy my newborn fells asleep just laying her on the mattress for a minute.
Pros: Price and staff
Cons: Bed was harder than most comfort inns
Pros: Great full breakfast and super helpful staff. Close to food and stores. Clean room and bathroom.
Cons: Hall carpet needs stretching, it has bumps to trip on
Pros: Location to Truman State University is great. Staff were friendly and cordial. Room was huge.
Cons: Hotel is extremely dated and is in desperate need of remodeling. Shower curtain kept blowing in and sticking to you as you bathed. Black mold was evident in bathroom where caulk was peeling away from walls and fixtures. Door security bar was broken.
The Budget Host Village Inn is an old, two story, enter your room from the parking lot motel. My room had the odor of age, but it was relatively clean and everything worked. For the price, I was satisfied. It is probably the most inexpensive motel in Kirksville.
Pros: It was inexpensive and had Turner Classic Movies on the cable.
