Altstadt Hotel & Café Koblenz

The hotel is set in a beautiful square in Koblenz in the middle of the Altstadt. The room was nice with a bath and shower and plenty of towels. The bottle of sparking water was great too. Check in was quick and efficient and access after hours was very easy.

The hotel and cafe are closed on Mondays. This was not very clear to me when I booked the hotel. It said breakfast was included, but the cafe was closed so no breakfast.

Although not included in the hotel stay, the restaurant was excellent. Friendly young staff.

Don’t book in the summer! It is impossible to sleep during the hot summer season not just because it is hot, but you can’t sleep with the windows opened as the hotel is on a plaza that is popular even at night with people chatting below your window Had to ask people to move two nights in a row and twice those night Also don’t expect to get breakfast before 9am even if you stay in the hotel, the staff does not make any exception!

Several guests mentioned that the views from the rooms were spectacular. Opting for a room with a balcony facing the fountain comes highly recommended.
