It is a hostel.
Very affordable option in the area, well equipped kitchen to cook in, clean room and sheets, and somewhere safe(ish) to park our bikes, albeit outside and not inside. The staff that we met were lovely and very helpful, check in was quick and easy, and there is a nice communal lounge with some comfy sofas as well as desks suitable for dining as well as working on.
The room was a little cramped even for two people, and of course it is a shared bathroom and not a private bathroom, but at the price that's totally fine. Not very close to the centre but again, location vs price I feel the balance is aok. Sadly our night's rest was shattered by a huge group of shrieking kids, who were running up and down the corridor, banging doors, shouting, knocking on all the room doors and basically acting with zero respect for anyone else in the building - all whilst the teachers did absolutely nothing about it and the staff seemed to do nothing about it as it went on past 11pm. I've travelled in lots of hostels over the years, and am used to crowds, sharing areas etc but this was by far the worst experience in a hostel if rest is a top priority, if they are willing to take bookings like that. It's a shame as it's a lovely place otherwise, but I feel as a place to rest after a long day's riding, the value for money on this occasion was poor.
I liked our room it gave us space to move around. It had a small terrace outside too. The location was quiet also not to far from the very cute down town. The breakfast was simple but worked for us. It was also cute how they decorated for Halloween. The staff was feiend too.
Friendly, helpful staff; good location not far from town and easy bike ride. Very good accommodation and well equipped guest kitchen. Good breakfast
Our first stay at a hostel in Denmark. It went well. We had a 4-person room for the two of us so each of us had a lower bed. Room was small but functional. Community kitchen had everything we needed to cook our dinner and a refrigerator to hold our milk and yogurt for the next day’s breakfast.
The only downside is that the hostel is 2 km from town. Not too bad for us since we were on bikes, but it might be an issue if you do not have wheels. On the plus side, it was quiet!
