Modern renovation, great shower. Attractive outdoor courtyard for dining. Some friendly staff. No Wi fi in room. Pillows to big. Old office mats by the beds. Some maintenance issues with new renovation (eg dangerously broken electrical socket in bathroom. Slat bed collapsed and continuously needed to be fixed. This was a major shortcoming and was trotted on several occasions. Management knew about problem but were reluctant to compensate on checkout. Access to room 10 was via a steep stair case that was like a ladder. No assistance with bags. No late check out despite available rooms. Indoor restaurant lacked atmosphere and there were no clients. Breakfast lacked variety: chap cold cu sausage and cheese in region renowned for good produce. Hardly any fresh fruit or veggies.
The room we had in the annex across the way was small and expensive for what it was. Bathroom minute and door was sticking on the floor. Staff seemed slightly unsure of themselves with the result the hotel did not feel relaxed.
Clean rooms, excellent location, up-to-date facilities but retaining rustic charm. Quaint small hotel in an attractive town with a relaxed atmosphere. Restaurant meal was a little pricy for what we received. Tried a bit too hard to cook modern cuisine that lacked substance.
The hotel really deserves its 4 stars. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, the rooms were excellent. Unfortunately their restaurant was not open yet, so I cannot comment on the food except for breakfast, which was good.
Good location. Friendly staff. Stylish if rather small room. Good shower in reasonable sized bathroom. The bed was broken. Several of the supporting slats were faulty/missing. Bed pillow was enormous - far too thick for comfort.
Room was large, well equipped and comfortable. One receptionist was excellent and extremely helpful and friendly - improved our impression of the hotel. Some staff extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. Made to feel uncomfortable. Poor information given by one receptionist who had little local knowledge. Breakfast poor for a hotel of this price. Would also expect cooked option. Coffee was cold most mornings. Room was not ready for check in time.
Clean. Good breakfast. No AC in the cheaper rooms, didn't know that until we got there.
closeness to the beach, view from the room staff not on top of the things, limited amount of rooms with AC
Location is so nice, cause it is near from a port. And Breakfast is good.Clean and Cheep, very usuful hotel. They accept a credit card.
The sea and the island but not the hotel. Get off socialismus from the hotel
Comfortable and informal. Quiet and near the beach (although this meant that it was a short walk outside the town). Balcony with sea view. Vis is a very beautiful island. Room a bit small. The quality of the breakfast could have been better - orange juice and coffee very watery.
In late September when I stayed the rate was good value by the standard of Croatian hotels The hotel is quite basic, especially the cheaper rooms - acceptable at off-season rates but I would have been less happy if I had paid their advertised high-season prices.
i liked it's location, specially view to the bay and fact that is just enough outside out of town to have peace Breakfeast should be maybee more different from day to day
The location was good. It is located right in front of a busy beach and less than a ten minute walk to the center of Vis Town. In addition, the price was right. We choose this hotel knowing we would only be in Vis for a few nights and would not be in our hotel most of the time. The hotel needs a renovation.
Hotel Issa has a very nice location in Vis Town. Having free parking was nice and our seaside room was nice. Having a beach right out the doors was also good for our children. The staff was very polite and helpful and we would definitely stay here again if traveling to Vis. Not having air conditioning in the rooms could present problems in very hot weather.
Good bar area, good breakfast hours and selection, location good, price fair , late check out i.e twelve p.m very convienient. It was very hot in the rooms without air condiitoning- would recommend that the hotel at least install ceiling fans or oscillating electronic fans in the non air conditioning rooms- especially in the park view rooms. Woukd recommend travellers to spend a few euro extra and to stay in the rooms with air con if staying at Hotel in July and August.
This hotel is presumably the only recent building in Vis, harbour village which was incredibly preserved. The hotel is endowed with a beautiful view of the bay and is located directly on the beach. The beach is not of sand, but the beauty and the wideness of the place are notable. Furthermore sea water is calm, beacuse Vis haven is a sheltered bay. The rooms are quite large and have a balcony. Front rooms have view on Vis bay. The silence and the quiet of the location are a incomparable. At night you can hear just some insects or birds. Vehicles are very few and noisy clubs are substantially absent. I strongly recommend this hotel for total relax holidays. Hotel comforts do not include air conditioning. I think that it may be quite an inconvenience, if weather is extremely hot. Shutters should be kept closed all over the day. There are two elevators, though quite old. Breakfast is not particularly rich.
