Location, room was ok, restaurant was better than others at railay beach Staff were poorly trained, unattentive and did not care about guests. Service in restaurant was slow. Hotel feels old, and expensive for what you get. Beach gets very noisy during day as boats come from Au nang
Great location on beach and easy to get to after arriving by longboat.A very good breakfast with fantastic view.Good friendly service. Room needed a small table and chairs, and also not comfortable to watch TV. Not really deluxe as compared to similar priced hotels on Phi Phi or Ao Nang.
The location was amazing. There was a terrible smell of sewage. Once we kept the fan on for a while in the bathroom it would go away. But because the electricity goes off when you remove the room key it smelled for a while when ever we returned to the room.
Railay is the wonderful place. We enjoyed our holidays there. Thai massage is the best in Railay Bay Resort&Spa. A lot of boats near swimming area.
They were so rude that I was a single American female traveler even though I'm very polite. They over charged me 100 US dollars, that I now have to deal with when I get home. That's a lot in Thailand! Rooms weren't that cleaned. Pretty sure the "day bed" had bed bugs. Hated this Hotel!
The view, the beach, the pool and my room's outdoor shower. The bed was very hard and the ac in my room sounded like a jet plane.
I absolutely loved everything about it. It's not exactly cheap but it's well worth having a splurge and staying there. I couldn't fault it. Nothing to say.
The accommodation was amazing ( i stayed in a deluxe bungalow) and in wonderful surrondings. The resort has been thoughtfully designed for the guests comfort. Two pools, the second of which is not near the beach and is much quieter. The staff were brilliant and always helpful. I recommend that you use the hotel airport transfer service to avoid a long walk accross the beach with your luggage. West Railay beach is beautiful and stunning location. No negative points to report - I had a wonderful stay
the staff was very friendly! it was no problem to upgrade to a superior room (with air condition, a lot nicer than the "basic room").
The West Railay Beach makes this resort. It's magnificent!
The location on West Railay is excellent The standard of the room was low and needed some updating
As far as the location this was a great deal. You definitely want to be on West Railay. East is cheaper, but it smells a bit like an open sewer. We were just a minute walk from the beach with access to two pools, a tasty buffet breakfast and easy access to the other parts of the peninsula. No complaints!
We liked the hotel, we had a great time there. We were undecided but this is the cheapest hotel on the West Coast on Railay (which is the one you want to be staying at). Decent value or money although the facilities are a little old but it does the job and it is conveniently located and staff is pleasant and promptly responsive. We booked for one night but we ended up staying for 3 nights. The massage at the hotel is of a great quality, the best I had in Thailand on this trip. I did not quite understand the choice of placing a pond of singing frogs right in the middle of the passageway to the beach, they were really loud at night. but otherwise no complaints.
Beautiful beach! The best! The junior suites are a little older and musty.
Amazing room, cleanliness, staff was nice, right on the beach, good wifi It was very cheap for the quality by USD standards, but hotels on the east side that are pretty comparable can be found for much cheaper and just a slightly longer walk from the beach.
nice little hotel, quite large standard room, very nice location, nice garden, friendly people breakfast is very poor
Really nice hotel
The pool and the view were amazing. The trip to the airport was an adventure (truck, speedboat, golf car and taxi). The staff makes us wait a long time for the room.
Great time at rayavadee! Strongly recommend. Incredible kindness of the employees very high level of service. Rooms are not rooms but beautiful villas, perfectly marrying the local style charm and modern comfort. Be aware that the beach is open to other people and it can be quite busy! You have your private area with your sunbed towels water though. But the access to the sea is not private only part of the beach is. We stayed at the pool which is awesome. Great restaurants especially the thai restaurant is awesome. Generally great experience! No
Best hotel in Railay, new and stilysh. Minutes walking from Railey West and Phra Nang. Close to Railay East nightlife spots but quite. Staff needs some improvement. Restaurant very expensive if compared to Railay standard.
Although you can't swim in the sea by the hotel (mangroves) the white sand beach are only 10mn away walking distane. The rooms are great and the whole complex (spa, swimming pool restaurant etc..) is pure delight. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Although not cheap still great value for money. Definitely recommend it.
very nice, nice room, nice service, nice view, The location is in east beach. It has to use van+boat+tractor from airport to hotel, too inconvenient.
Fabulous Fabulous Fabulous place! Room was excellent, food was great, only a 5 minute walk to the most beautiful beach I've ever seen and it's all so quaint and remote. Loved it!
the rooms are very good and clean, big room with nice balcony and a very beautiful shower, large tv and dvd inside. the service is very bad for this kind of hotel.the first day they didn't clean the room, day after they forget to replace the towels.after we complain they didn't do anything and a day after forget to replace towels again.also the staff is very slowly and is doing you a favor if u ask something.
The hotel is fine, staff is super nice, rooms are clean, design elements are boring, but it's on the beach so kind of gets a pass. Railay beach is overrun with squaking euro tourists and overbuilt with big empty hotels. It feels like the place was overbuilt x 2 and there are it enough interested travelers to keep the prices up, so it's a race to the bottom. As the empty hotels cut their prices more and more, the crowd gets less and less savory. It's a place to go for the afternoon or to skip all together, for sure...
big room Not too much light in the bathroom
Bungalows are so nice.......
rooms were comfortable and nice. good breakfast but can improve on variety..hotel compound were serene however there was a really bad smell around the swimming pool area due to the close proximity of the mangrove side. hotel staff needs more experience dealing with guests..when we arrived for check in, the hotel didnt have our particulars and had no idea what should they do although i showed them my print out and also the confirmation email in my inbox. i had to wait almost an hour to check in
The room design, beautiful and romantic atmosphere and the serenity of the place. Just that there was no spa available during our visit. The restaurant is halal and does not serve liquor.
Such a pleasant resort, with friendly staff, a perfection location and huge clean rooms. Short walk to Railay East and Princess Cave, directly on Railay West / Sunset Beach. Nothing!
Staff were the nicest i have met in thailand, definitely value for money!
Nice location near the water. Good restaurant. Large, clean rooms. We paid for breakfast every day, but they did not have an alternative option when we had to leave earlier than breakfast was served one morning.
nothing! the room was old and dirty!
Bad hotel, staff not kind at all, swiming pool and rooms were dirty!!! And they charged our credit card twice!!!
location only! The room was totally awful, the service was bad as well. We ordered 4 night and stayed only 1. They charged my bill in advancewithout permission and it took more then a month to get the money back.
the food and the staff at the restaurant customer service very poor and not bothered as it was not peak season yet (that's what the manager told me when i asked why the thai massage on site was not available), shower not working properly, no complimentary toiletries nor minibar as stated, not at all what it looks like in the photos!!!!! very disappointing!
We chose this hotel because we liked the location that appeared in your webpage. Our surprise was that the real location is not the same that appeared in the web. You should change the location in internet as soon as posible to ensure no more mistakes. The correct location is north of the Hat Rai Leh East, not in Tham Phra Nang Nok, the best beach in Railay. Thank you. Loren. We didn't like the location
Location was pretty central. Room/grounds were only okay. Staff seemed rude and like they distrusted you. Definitely didn't make us feel welcome.
Nice bungalow with decent bathroom and clean sheets/towels. Close to beach, restaurants and spas. They were overbooked when we arrived and the manager was very rude and unapologetic. They had NO room for us so we were forced to walk up and down the beach going into other hotels to find a room. When we stayed there the following day, we got food contamination/poisoning from the breakfast buffet.
Location - if you're in Ao Tonsai, this is the place; friendliness of staff; front office personnels speak very good English & are very helpful They forgot to clean the room 2 days out of our 5 days stay
The room was lovely, and if you like rock climbing, Tonsai beach is definitely the place to stay. We had a bit of a surprise when we returned to the room at about 3pm to discover that the power was shut off and would not be switched back on until 5pm. Thus... no air conditioning.
Boat trips to the islands, and snorkeling Disappointed that the beach was so rocky. Had to walk round or get a longtail boat round to Railay
the cottages were very beautiful and clean. the scenery, food, people at the hotel were just amazing. Would love to go back...
Good atmosphere. great setting Getting to the rest of the bay...hard to reach through rocks at low tide and hilly path at night with a torch!
the breakfast is very por and the meals at the hotel resturant is poor too the staff told us one day that they dont have any kind of food so that we had travel to aonang to eat dinner
The hotel is surrounded with nice steep mountains at a small beach. good destination for climbers. You can only reach the hotel by expansive taxiboat because it is enclosed by steep high mountains and this not mentioned in the hotel description. The water in front of the beach is not suitable for swimming or snorkeling because of the polusion and sharp rocky bottom.
Fine choice for a stay in Tonsai. Nice and calm environment with supportive staff. Be aware that electricity is only available from 5pm to 9am.
Rooms were clean and close to the beach, but very simple Again, the decór could be a bit better. Facilities were not very extensive. Safety deposit box did not work properly. Breakfast was ok, but with little choice.
scenery, monkeys, rock climbing watching. location access by water only; left you at mercy of long-tail boat operators. poor access: at high tide, hop over the side 'at' the beach; prepare to get wet to the crotch. at low tide. hop over the side some 50 yards from shore and trek through rock and mud; don't wear good shoes. Area pretty much shuts down 10 PM; can't get a meal anywhere after that & bars very quiet - too quiet.
