Pros: Great location with very friendly staff in a beautiful building. The terrace on the roof afforded excellent views of the medina.
Cons: Two very minor things: 1. Shower drain was a bit slow, 2. Should post instructions for how to use heating system since it was a bit tricky.

Pros: Driss, the husband of the owner, was extremely welcoming when he picked us up from the airport after our midnight arrival. He spoke very good English, was really informative about Tangier, and was great to talk with about veganism.
Cons: An issue regarding the airport shuttle service cost us an unexpected $35 that we hadn't factored into the cost. The website advertises an airport pickup available, but doesn't list a price. When I called to arrange the pickup, no one mentioned the cost. I assumed that meant this was a free service included in the stay, which made staying that far out of town very worth it. Sadly, it costs a lot to get picked up (it would cost more in a taxi). This should have been listed on the booking page. All the other hotels in the area list the cost of airport pickup.

Pros: From the excellent staff, to the great breakfast, to the roof top terrace, this centrally located spot is an excellent value. Many places felt a little unsafe, dirty or had weak wifi, but we quickly came back to Dar El Kasbah and used it as our launching point for exploring the local area. We can't say enough nice things about the place. Oh, and when our shower head broke, within three minutes it was replaced. Amazing!

Cons: Recently dropped from 4 star to a 3. We were welcomed warmly but when we didn't want to partake in the expensive tourist services (mainly guides bring you to friends shops and over priced restaurants under the pretext of being helpful, inflated taxies etc) we were treated a little rudely. Service seems to have declined with the decreasing stars. Shame, such a beautiful building and nice spa.

Pros: The room was nicer and more spacious than those you would find in the city proper, the location was clean and safe, and the pool was very nice.
Cons: Terrible check in wait, staff was rude, shower curtain fell down on me, food/bar were massively overpriced for Morocco, and they charged my credit card twice for the same stay. Also a drive from city, and they call the gouging cab service unless asked.
