Pros: The experience was awesome, the staff was really amazing, the view the sounds, the contact with the nature was magnificent. We felt really happy staying there, we connected each other and with the nature as well. It was so romantic and magic, We do not have words to describe the morning when the birds sounds woke us up, it was an experience from other world.
Pros: The view and the style of the cabin.
Cons: Other guests stayed up late and made so much noise. Perhaps a note to tell guests to be mindful.
Pros: Beautiful location, especially being able to see the mountains in the shower. Comfy and warm bed. My partner and I also really appreciated the use of plastic alternatives for the breakfast. Which was healthy and yum!

Pros: Such a beautiful place to stay. John and Marian were lovely people to meet and were very hospitable.
Pros: Everything has been thought of and put into the accommodation - every creature comfort of home was there. If you arrived with the clothes on your back and nothing else, your stay would be very comfortable. The peacefulness of the property was magical.
Pros: This was our second visit and the addition of the cooking and kitchen facilities on the back veranda added a truly worthwhile feature where you are able to do some cooking for yourself.
Pros: Position, amenities, cleanliness, comfort, the price, everything,,,, and last but not least, the hosts. Friendly, accomodating, make you feel very welcome.
Pros: My wife and I stayed two nights and it wasn’t enough, we could have stayed longer. It was so very peaceful. The property offers everything you need for a few nights or a weeks stay. Spotlessly clean , extremely comfortable bed and the extra outdoor undercover kitchen/bbq is great. Modern big bathroom also very clean. We highly recommend staying here as opposed to any hotel/ motel. The 10/15 min drive out of Kyogle is worth it. John and Marian were wonderful hosts.

Pros: I loved that staying at this place gave me a sense of reflection, hearing the native wildlife reminded me of my childhood and reminded me where I came from. It was a beautiful stay and so cheap, we had everything we needed and nothing more which was really good to connect more with the people and the surrounding area. Will definitely 100% be back to see the platypus!
Cons: I didn’t stay long enough :(
Pros: Everything, the owner is a enlightening man, and a relaxing person to talk too. I just wish I stayed longer. The whole place is a experience. If you want to be at one..... stay here.
Cons: Nothing, it was a great time out with people that care.
Pros: Room and bathrooms were way cleaner than I expected.
Cons: Property could be dressed up a bit but definitely gives the nimbin rustic vibe
Pros: The nature atound the place, the nice staff etc.
Cons: Nothing, everything was good
Pros: My family - 2 adults, 6 year old and 2 year old - stayed for one night in the Glastonbury Family room. Doug was very welcoming and had good information about the local area. It was interesting to read about the recycled buildings and flooring that were used to build the guest house The retreat was just as we expected...and more. The cleanliness of the room, kitchen, shared living area and even the shower and toilets was excellent (considering they are away from the main building and partially outdoors). The kitchen facilities were great and I loved that there was tea and coffee provided. Our bed was sooo comfortable too! We managed a quick walk down to the creek in the morning and were lucky enough to see a wallaby, bush turkeys and a platypus, which Doug had told us might happen. It was a quiet time at the retreat with not many guests, so it was perfect for a family with young kids. We would definitely stay again!
Cons: That the toilets weren’t part of the guest house. But it didn’t ruin our experience.
Pros: Super Quiet Very clean Incredibly peaceful Comfy beds Great kitchen Unique buildings, very rustic. room had fans and large bar fridge. friendly and helpful proprietor
Cons: Prefer toilet and shower to be closer.... actually, would much prefer an en-suite!! Not into bush tracking in the middle of the night to pee

Planning an event in Koonorigan? This motel has facilities measuring 1507 square feet (140 square meters), including a conference center. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Perfect tranquil stay.
Pros: Surrounded by farms, we were away from other people.
Pros: The bed and bed linen were comfortable and quality and shower had good pressure. Surrounding the property was beautiful countryside and had a chook pen. Staff member was laid back and friendly. Spring water was supplied for drinking.
Cons: Beware! NO WIFI OR PHONE SERVICE AT ALL!!! No microwave nor iron and bathroom had dirty ring and spider in the sink, toilet and shower was not clean to the point I took pictures on arrival. Pool dirty. Over priced at $110 per night!
Pros: The owner Amanda was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was beautiful. 15 mins drive from Lismore town and surrounded by amazing views! Loved it and will return very soon.
Pros: Great motel style property, amazing staff, wonderful service and beautiful country style properly
Cons: Everything was great but shower head needs improvement but nothing I’d complain about
Pros: Nice location in a lovely quiet bush setting
Cons: The room we stayed in had very little if any spent on it in over thirty years. Very dated. The only “new” thing was the pillows, which were the cheapest crappy pillows money could buy. Just awful. The bed was hard. There was a bright yellow fluorescent light outside our room which was on all night and the bedroom window was “covered” by an old vertical blind that had no bottom cord and let the light shine brightly into the bedroom. The bathroom was tiny and ancient. The toilet had to be installed on a bit of an angle to allow enough room at the sink. There were no towel rails, but there were screw holes on the back of the door where it or hooks had been ripped off. The spare pillows in the top of the wardrobe were filthy. The only reason we stayed a second night was because we had no option. Everything in Casino, Lismore and nearby was booked out.
