The entire hotel is decorated like a museum and lit with 10000s of colour light bulbs. Bit too much for my taste, but some may like it and at least it is not boring. Excellent Breakfast.
We had booked a room with two separate beds and got one of the smallest hotel rooms I've ever seen with one double bed. That room (no. 5) reminded me of a prison cell with its dimm windowless bathroom with rusty brown tiles. The room itself had THE smallest window I've ever seen in a hotel room more like a loophole, through which if you were very lucky you could see a small piece of the sky but it was impossible to get any significant amount of fresh air in through that hole. As a result we slept very badly in the sticky air. For someone claustrophobic this would have been a nightmare. All personnel was unable (or unwilling ?) to speak English and I mean ANY, not even one word.
Very scenic location at the top of the Col des Aravis.
Room was quirky at the expense of basic facilities. Breakfast was basic with very limited selection. A long way from any towns along narrow winding mountain roads. Just a few rooms attached to a country restaurant, not really a full hotel. Room not serviced. Offhand staff, limited English.
Location, ambient and the delicious food!
Most of the staff don't really speak English.
We really liked the design, both the room and the restaurant. It's very cosy but at the same time stylish. We stayed in the music room and my daughter was truly amazed. She could play the guitar and read very nice book on art.
The wifi does not work and you can hear a lot between the rooms.
The decor is very nice. The staff were helpful.
It's much more inaccessible than we thought. The local bus does not go to the hotel, one really needs a car. The bar was noisy on that night, we couldn't really eat our dinner in peace.
