Pros: Extremely friendly welcome and charming owners. The hotel is beautifully located and has convenient parking outside. There is a delightful terrace where you can sit out and take the sun and the room was spotlessly clean.

Pros: Location could not have been better. Quiet but near beach, shops and resturants. Good, simple breakfast but great coffeee and fresh juice. Aircon and internet which bot h worked and were invaluable. Most importantly, our hosts were among the most welcoming, friendly and helpful we have ever come across in France!

Pros: Room great small but excellent use of space. Laurent is formidable. He could not do enough for us and was so entertaining.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Whole atmosphere of Maison du Palmier was lovely - mostly down to the great style and welcome of the property owner. Room super comfortable and quiet with a view of the verdant courtyard where we enjoyed a great breakfast
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owner is fantastic and very helpful. Place has an eccentric decor one finds comforting and interesting, RL furniture with ancient prints mixed with modern art. Very relaxing place just steps from the port. Public parking lot is close. Just made a mistake too many of you will no visit and I will not be able to have a room
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A joy from start to finish, Angelique made us feel at home in her beautiful house. Great design and perfect location.... a real treat! A perfect place... Thank you for having us.
Cons: Tea / coffee making facilities in room would have been nice... other than that faultless
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location could not have been better with easy access to parking and the harbor. The room was spacious and lovely and our hostess was friendly and knowledgeable. And, a delicious French breakfast.
Cons: Not a thing. We were delighted to have found such a lovely place to stay in La Rochelle.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a fantastic stay at this quaint and cosy chambre d’hôtes. A baby bed was installed in our room. The room on the ground floor is perfect for couples with baby as we could have a glass of wine in the court yard while our son was sleeping. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The hosts were very nice and helpful. Central location with lots of restaurants nearby.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was fantastic. Housekeeping was excellent. Angelique couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend staying here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful old French traditional house with a perfect welcoming hostess. Excellent position for visiting La Rochelle with many restaurants nearby.... would be happy to stay again.... maybe for longer!
Cons: Entry could be easier and front door bell needs attention
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The place is a lovely old house very well looked after. The host is very nice and polite helped us a lot with her advice. Noting that the guests are limited to their room and the small lounge and patio.
Cons: The breakfast was ok but not worth the 13€ pp. There was bread, croissant, fruit and jam plus coffee. I had read reviews on booking about breakfast being amazing but having tried it it did not prove to be value for money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole stay was a wonderful experience . The facility was first class and the lady who owns and manages the property was delightful, very considerate and very helpful . The breakfast was great, fresh croissants, fresh fruit and wonderful home made jams . I would definitely recommend .
Cons: There was nothing , I did not like. I suppose we would have liked to stay a bit longer, but perhaps next time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at La Maison du Palmier mid August 2018 on the last leg of a trip around South West France and Northern Spain. Located in the centre of town and less that a two minute walk from all the restaurants and bars its perfect for you if your looking for a more realistic French experience outside of Hotel accommodation. The property itself is beautifully decorated and full of character. We stayed in the garden room on the ground floor that overlooks the courtyard garden. The room is peaceful and charming to stay in with an eclectic mix of antique and traditional French furniture and furnishings that combine to give the room a stylish and restful ambiance. We never met the owner who was away on holiday but instead were taken care of by her mother Claudine who is a thoughtful and attentive host. Breakfast is optional and well worth it. A note to anyone driving. The property is adjacent to a car park so unloading luggage is easy but if you don’t want pay for long term parking you can park your car round the corner for free in one of the car parks. Getting up early improves you chances of securing a space as you will have to persevere for a place later in the day or in the busier months when everybody seemed to be looking for free spaces.
Cons: nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole experience of staying there was excellent. The breakfast was fantastic and most of all the best part of staying there was the way the lady of the house made us feel so welcome. It very much felt like you were getting a personal first class service.
Cons: Cannot fault anything.
7.7 Good
Pros: The location is fantastic, 300 metres from Old Port and shopping streets. The owners, treat you like their best friends, the bedrooms are sublime, and the area tranquil.
Cons: Parking can be difficult.
7.3 Good
Pros: An excellent location to bars, restaurants, shops and Port. Within walking distance.
Cons: There was a cat in the guest house which was not previously mentioned... not good if you have allergies! I however did not mind this.

Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in a perfect location to explore St Martin. Loads of eateries etc within 5 min walk of hotel. Parking available at hotel but we chose to park outside the hotel which worked well for us. Hired e-bikes for a day to explore the island. The hotel has a discount arrangement with one of the hire shops so definitely ask about that before hiring bikes. Staff very friendly and helpful and speak good English.
Cons: Rooms are not soundproof which may put some people off.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed there several times, once with our dog. The staff are always friendly and really helpful. The breakfasts are delicious and there is a lot of choice. Great coffee which always matters to me!
Cons: It would be a great improvement to have aircon in the rooms.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lots of things!! But the most important was the friendliness of the staff.
Cons: Something that could be improved: the lights in the room are too bright. In the evening it would be nice to just be able to have some "soft lights", it's much more relaxing. Also it wasn't possible to only turn on the light on the hall. When we did, it also turned on the lights in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect situation - quiet with nice view
Cons: Bathtub controls were foreign to us
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Rooms were very clean.
Cons: There is no internal soundproofing so every noise made above and next door can be heard very clearly. Mattresses are very firm, which seems to be standard these days.
Hôtel La Marine - La Rochelle - Building
4
9.0 Excellent (809 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hôtel La Marine, you'll be centrally located in La Rochelle, within a 10-minute walk of La Rochelle Central Market and Concurrence Beach. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location overlooking old port. Everything a short walk away. Right in the heart of old La Rochelle. Nice fresh contemporary decor with a nautical theme. Staff extremely helpful and great restaurant advice.
Cons: There was a kettle in the room but no coffee or tea bags. Car parking was secure but a short walk away from hotel (can drop off/pick up bags right outside) - wasn’t a problem.
7.5 Good
Pros: The rooms were updated and clean and enough space. The separate WC was way too small. Staff very nice and very helpful. The location was great.
Cons: See above
7.5 Good
Pros: Location and view of marina
Cons: No hotel facilities except for a small reception so not really a hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very contemporary room clean and fresh Great view of the port
Cons: N/a
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were clean and beautiful. The view was amazing and we really enjoyed sitting in front of our window taking it all in. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is a very fun place to stay and the room was quite even though it was right above a busy street.
Cons: Despite the clear directions on how to navigate to the check-in parking, it was very overwhelming to drive through the streets of pedestrians to get to the loading zone. We ended up just parking down the street a bit and walking to the front of the hotel.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Book the room with port view and order breakfast in the room. We loved it! Hotel location is great, in the center of Vieux Port and the staff extremely helpful and attentive. Place certainly to recommend for a short stay in La Rochelle.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous view and very helpful staff
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location is fantastic. Right on the harbor. We had a harbor view which is worth the little extra. Staff were extraordinary nice and very helpful. Julie on the front desk couldn't do enough. Windows were fully double glazed and so the room was incredibly quiet even though we had restaurants below. The view from the room means one could quite easily stay in the room with a nice red instead of going out.
Cons: If you have a lot of luggage it could be a bit difficult getting things up to your room but not extraordinarily so. One can bring a car to the front of the hotel for loading and unloading as parking is a good 10 mins walk away. Again - it didn't trouble us too much.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fab little hotel, basic but just what is needed in such a beautiful location right on the harbor front. Be aware that you can drive along the front to drop luggage and check in. There are two steep flights of stairs going up to reception, no lift, we were in room 17 at the top so four flights for us, it just worked off the extra calories we had drunk and eaten. Staff are super nice and were very helpful with my elderly parents. Parking is a little way away but just follow the signs for Parking Verdun, underground safe carpark. We will deffo be back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room very good and helpfull staff
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: All good for me.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: No breakfast
Cons: The room was a little small
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Bedrooms have quality large beds with quality white cotton bedding, this old stylish building is decorated with contemporary furnishings and is spotlessly clean and has air conditioning. Just a short walk into town and the town beach. Receptionist was exceptional and went above and beyond to satisfy our family.
Cons: Our double bedroom (number 2) was just off reception and had a small window with no view, just another building. Parking was stated as available but was full with 6 cars, so we had to park on the street.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic welcome and check-in, very sympathetic and cordial receptionist. Stylish room, private parking, comfortable bed and bathroom.
Cons: Tiny room with all furnitures and equipment for 1 person, not for 2, e.g. 1 chair, 1 bedside lamp, tiny table.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly and helpful lady at reception. Could park our motorbikes in the back. Air con in the room. Easy 15 min walk to the harbour.
Cons: Room was quite small with little storage space for clothes etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing decor and excellent friendly owners and staff. The breakfast was also excellent
Cons: Absolutely nothing to dislike
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Le Manoir is in a good location a little away from the heart of La Rochelle. It takes 15 minutes to walk through the leafy park to the Vieux Port. The hotel is decorated with what I would describe as 'pared back' elegance, very plain and simple with stand out pieces of artwork here and there. Our room was compact but very comfortable with a large shuttered window overlooking the road. The lady on reception spoke excellent English and was most enthusiastic in recommending places to visit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very stylish property, in a convenient location
Cons: Our room was a bit on the small side, though others are available
9.3 Excellent
Pros: easy parking - very nice helpful staff - esp Silve - clean rooms
Cons: room slightly small

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the decor of the hotel- old world charm, our large bedroom with stairs to bath and shower. The welcome from staff was very warm and informative. The morning breakfast was beautiful and served by friendly and efficient staff. Dinner on the one evening we dinned in the hotel restaurant was extraordinary
Cons: No adverse comments
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Toiras is the perfect destination in which to enjoy the idyllic and picturesque setting of Saint Martin de Ré. We were fortunate to be offered a room that overlooked the harbour, the view couldn’t have been more perfect. The staff were attentive & efficient in a friendly and relaxed manner. The room was bright and beautifully decorated, meeting every need. The hotel sits on the harbour, a few steps from all the bars, restaurants and shops. Cycle hire, with a discount from the hotel, is just around the corner - the perfect way to explore the island. Villa Clarisse, the sister hotel a few minutes walk from Toiras, provided the additional luxury of a tranquil pool and outdoor lounging, complete with poolside service for drinks and refreshments; again, the staff there could not have been more friendly, relaxed and ready to help.
Cons: That we only stayed three days!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous hotel
Cons: Staff really friendly but thoroughly disorganised
4.5 Okay
Cons: The initial introduction was very poor, could not unlock door was very embarrassed and fled. bathroom curtains were dirty, hand marks and blood, they tried to clean but it was a waste of time, they needed laundering. we tried to eat on the first night but told dining room full. We were told staff had walked out and they were running on very young and inexperienced staff, this was obvious. this was 5 star it felt more like 3. It was also Chateaux and Relais,.I have stayed in there hotels many times in the past all over the world, this was not close to what I would have expected and I feel it is time it was reinspected. there were many more [problems that I do not have time to go into, We stayed in 2 other hotels during our stay that were excellent and nearly half the price. my advise is to shop around and not get fooled into going for the supposed best because you can be caught out.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent, Breakfast choice was extensive and good Staff were very helpful

Pros: Great place to stay. Handy for beach and town.
6.8 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Emptying own bins Little interaction with staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mattress was lovely, outside area really pretty & the owners could not have been more helpful.
6.8 Good
Pros: Staff )particularly Christopher) were very friendly and welcoming
Cons: The rooms were shabby and bathroom way too cramped
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice pretty hotel, very pleasant owners, and nice buffet breakfast in morning. Good location for both beach and town.
Cons: We didn't like having to pay for parking when the room was already v expensive also we weren't told wed have to pay so it came as a surprise at the end. Also there were a few small things that would have made a difference. Real glasses in the room rather than small plastic ones. Water in the room. Cups for coffee/tea rather than paper cups. Check in at 5 is quite late in my opinion. We arrived early but they were very strict on the policy so were hanging around for a while.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was wonderful. The couple who own the Hotel were brilliant and very helpful.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: the yard looks cozy
Cons: For people who will stay there one night,I definitely "NOT RECOMMENDED". After I booked this hotel I got the confirmation email, it was written check in "5pm" check out "tomorrow" So I thought checked in time was very very late maybe check out time would be late too. So I planed to visit La Rochelle first then went to this hotel to check in. We arrived this hotel at 9pm and the staff told us to check out at 11am!!!!I cannot believe , apparently we spent 165euros just to stay half day in this hotel. And the swimming pool stops at 9pm. The second day we checked out and tried to use the swimming pool but in the morning its soooo super cold. Thus this swimming pool is just a "Display".What else , the staff looked very fake to tell us we could stay longer AFTER we checked out. This hotel made us very disappointed and uncomfortable.NO RECOMMENDED!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved this hotel. Very cute, comfortable and lovely location. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The warm welcome we were given was fantastic. The hotel is in an exellent position for the beach and the town, 2 mins and 4 mins. walk respectively. Bike hire is a must for seeing the island, and the cycle routes are well marked and in good repair. The attention to detail show by the owners would put most chain hotels to shame. It was a pleasure from the initial booking to checkout, can't fault it at all.
Cons: There is a massive influx of tourists to the island in July and August, and would recommend, if you want a quite holiday, to avoid these 2 months.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel was optimal for restaurants and exploring the city. It was a challenge to drive the narrow streets to the hotel, but once we arrived and parked in the secured lot, we were able to leave our car in the lot during our visit, The rooms were clean and modern and comfortable and the air conditioning was greatly appreciated! Breakfast was excellent with a large variety of breads, fruits, meats and other items. We will definitely stay again the next time we are in the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I had a wonderful time in this hotel. The location was great and the breakfast awesome.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Smallish room but comfortable. Great location. English language and French newspapers available. Modern and clean hotel. Great atrium area where breakfast is served. Freshly squeezed orange juice is the standout breakfast item...
Cons: Parking was expensive €13 and impossibly small spaces, about 20cm wider than the car, so beware. Breakfast was also expensive €14.90 and plentiful but particularly underwhelming. Hit the streets for more choice and better value!
7.0 Good
Pros: Good location, room ok
Cons: We didn’t get a parking spot, had to park at public parking garage at horrendous fee at quite a distance. We had reserved parking.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, Neill was very helpful with printing train tickets, managing luggage etc.
Cons: One of the receptionists could have been more welcoming.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a beautiful building which felt homely and had a stunning windowed area for eating breakfast. The location was perfect being in the bohemian quarter. Cons: Nothing

Pros: The fitout is fabulous. Very stylish!

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice spacious room with good lighting.
Cons: Parking is a not at hotel but not too far. The public seating area is not very inviting it could be improved.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel is very smart and modern. Location is great, right in the centre of La Rochelle. The rooms are very minimal which I generally like, but the decor could perhaps even be described as ‘stark’. Staff friendly and the room and Hotel extremely clean.
Cons: For a really outstanding experience it would have been good to have a few more facilities in the room, such as a fridge, face cloths (flannels) and better quality tea and coffee selection. But still, we enjoyed our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything perfect!!. The location in the very city center. The hotel is very modern and comfortable . And very clean. I will always recommend it.
Cons: Just nothing. Everything was great.

Pros: This hotel is in the perfect location just a few minutes away from the centre, but far enough away to not be bothered by the crowds. Lovely hotel with beautiful pool. 6.8 Good
Pros: Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Pool area well manicured and breakfast room immaculate and efficiently run. 10 minute walk into St Martin via cobbled streets. Very picturesque town with beautiful shops, bars and restaurants
Cons: Unfortunately bedroom was dark with no outside space. Bathroom window in shower so couldn't open for ventilation when showering. Path ran outside window which patrons and staff used as shortcut so felt it necessary to keep curtains shut whilst in room. No bath and no iPod docking station.

Cons: Breakfast could have been more varied and better organized.
Hôtel Le Richelieu - La Flotte - Building

8.9 Excellent (315 reviews)

When you stay at Hôtel Le Richelieu in La Flotte, you'll be next to a golf course and 8 minutes by foot from La Flotte Harbor. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was well situated and added to the positive experiences on the island
Cons: The fact that the road layout meant that although we vacated the hotel at 11.10am to drive to Nantes the incompetence of the design and the local councils inability to organise properly meant that the five kms drive from the hotel to the bridge took eight hours. We crossed the bridge to the mainland at seven pm. This meant that the cost of onward flights and hotels have been lost. I shall not be returning to the Ile de Re. I would like to suggest that a company with purchasing power such as yourselves raise this problem with the Ile de Re authorities as the locals informed us that although this was the worst to date that vast queues at weekend departure times are now a regular feature due to the revised road design at the point where you enter / leave the island. I shall be contacting the hotel to inform them of this ridiculous situation situation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room, very roomy bathroom, garden view with own terrace.
Cons: Not that easy to find.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great position overlooking the beach. Good room and facilities Decent restaurant and reasonable breakfast. Nice outdoor swimming pool.
Cons: some of the waiting staff, especially at breakfast were a bit surly. The hotel is quite expensive if you don't use the spa facilities. Parts of the hotel are looking a bit tired. Didn't feel we were getting really good value for money.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very amenable staff and so helpful with our disabled son.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect Service , Excellent Food
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location and spacious room
Cons: Room was too hot and noisy with water running in the spa below and when a storm came through.
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent location on the sea front. Very quiet with good cycle hire. Swimming pool well positioned with spacious surrounding area. Within easy walking distance of the old port area which had a variety of good restaurants
Cons: Lack of staff. We had to locate staff at the continental breakfast to replenish certain dishes as there was no one overseeing the room. Also staff had to be located to serve in the bar if you wanted a drink
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The position of this hotel is just fabulous only a short walk from the harbour and straight across the cycle path from a beautiful beach. The rooms were very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I had the best quality of sleep in this hotel than any other I have stayed in. We will certainly look forward to revisiting this fabulous hotel in this very beautiful corner of France.
Cons: The breakfast could have been a bit more imaginative. Most five star hotels serve a superior breakfast , to the Richelieu. On saying that the tea and coffee were piping hot which is not always the case.!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything !
7.5 Good
Pros: Location!
Cons: Everything is very dated! Very poor buffet breakfast! No staff available for bar service! No service at the pool! Very MEAN with the cheese and bread with dinner!

Pros: The charm of a beautiful old house
Cons: U have to pay for rental of beach towels Breakfast quite expensive and nothing special
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous property with gardens and history. Delicious and varied breakfast items. Friendly and helpful staff
Cons: A bit spread out and tricky to navigate at times, but that’s part of the charmk
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location
Cons: No outdoor pool
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great ambience. The hotel was a complex of beautiful old villas. It made navigating the various buildings a challenge but that added to the charm. Good breakfast, cosy but expensive private parking was ideal for our 52-year-old Jaguar. The Isle de Re should be tackled out of high season. During the shoulder period (early September) it is still quite crowded but it is a charming place and we will be going back.
Cons: Getting lost.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is very good
Cons: The room we were given had no air conditioning and was dark. The bathroom wasn’t really a bathroom but a separate toilet through a door next to the bed and the shower just had a curtain separating it from the bed. It all felt a bit cobbled together. To say it’s a four star hotel our room did not feel like this at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were super helpful. They gave us free champagne in the bar due to one of our birthdays and helped us get rid of a big spider in our room! Perfect location for accessing waterfront but very quiet
Cons: Air con wasn’t very good (we were in the lovely Loft room which was massive but in the attic so got very warm.

Pros: A real Gem and very polite, helpful and professional staff. We actually arrived and did not realise we booked the wrong month by error, but the staff were so helpful and amended our booking and after a bit of shuffling they could accommodate us in the Garden Room which was EXCELLENT !!! Great location and rooms very clean and high quality. This is one of our Best Finds Ever. Thank You La Baronie.
Cons: There's nothing not to like.

Pros: Staff were very helpful with information. Also efficient. Check in and out was streamlined and quick. There was water available free of charge (during a hot spell). The location was very convenient just 5 minutes from the city centre. The decor was attractive. Bed was very comfortable. Shower room was well stocked with toiletries and towels and shower was Strong. Booked parking but it was hard to find a spot to stop outside the hotel to check in before going around to reserved spot behind hotel. This is the only fault I found. Would be happy to stay again and recommend this hotel.
Cons: Parking was non-existent outside the hotel. Reserved parking behind the hotel was fine but only accessible after checking in.

Pros: The room was very clean and the shower excellent. The breakfast was very good, with a nice selection and the young lady working the room was extremely helpful. The location was excellent for us, close enough to everything, and easy walk to the port but far enough away from the crowds. Parking was convenient.
Cons: The bed was quite hard and both of us awoke with neck pains after the first night. A change of pillow for the second night helped. The fitness room was in need of new machines, the treadmill in particular.

Cons: Reception area and guest lounge area too small

Pros: Great location. Walking distance to park and 2 restaurants / casino. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Continental breakfast / buffet was also good. Free parking. Price was very reasonable.
Cons: Rooms are standard (small) Eutopean style rooms.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We stayed 3 nights and had a Premier room on the 5th floor. Although the room was not large, it was very nicely appointed with elegant velvet armchairs reasonable cupboard space a large and deeply comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. The balcony overlooked the rather lovely terrace below where we spent some hours chilling and reading among the stylish plantings of olive trees and grasses to the gentle sound of the tide ebbing and flooding below. It was a 20 minute stroll into the centre of La Rochelle with options to walk along the promenade by the waterside or along the pretty parkway. Pretty perfect as far as I’m concerned. The staff on reception and in housekeeping were all friendly and helpful.
Cons: Drinks were excessively expensive

Cons: Nothing. It’s a gem.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was beautiful. Rooms modern and clean. Free parking was a brilliant bonus!
Cons: No air con in rooms which you would not expect for a modern hotel. The addition of a bar and plunge pool would make the stay perfect!

The rooms are nicely furnished with a large cupboard for clothes storage, safe, tea and coffee facilities and a fridge, which was very useful. Really nice ground floor terrace on the waterfront. The walk along the sea front into the town centre is lovely, and only takes around 20 - 25 minutes.

Located in Le Bois-Plage-en-Re, Hôtel Jerodel is by the ocean, a 2-minute drive from La Couarde Beach and 8 minutes from Eco-Museum of Marais Salant. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was ideal for me. Room was more than adequate. Hotel was as shown on booking.com. Extra breakfast was fine.
Cons: Reception could open earlier, say 8 a.m. Water in foot 'trench' at entrance of swimming pool could be kept cleaner. Shower towels a little small in room. Milk (long life) would be useful in room and with breakfast. Replacement of coffee and tea should be done daily.
6.8 Good
Pros: Clean well planned internally. Externally compromised. Very small closed in courtyard which gave excellent privacy but Zero atmosphere and too hot in summer . When temperatures reached 30 degrees facility in general uncomfortable though rooms somewhat cooler as good shutters and fan. Needs modern aircon and more shades in pool area and some colour/ plants in courtyard. Joanne and staff were most courteous and efficient despite our pigeon French
Cons: Bikes too heavy and cumbersome.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent, the room was very clean and a real bonus having your own patio area. The whole site was very well maintained. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was great.
Cons: Nothing it was faultless and a rare find.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable clean & quiet hotel
Cons: No milk for morning coffee in our room, otherwise great
7.5 Good
Pros: The outdoor swimming pool was really lovely - very warm and never too busy, indeed sometimes empty. It was a joy to use after a hot day's cycling, or before setting off in the morning. The location makes a great base for cycling trips, and the hotel has super and very comfortable cycles for hire. Lovely shower! Very quiet location, truly restful place to stay. The staff - especially Cassandre and Isabelle - were absolutely charming and helpful - and so patient. They were exceptional! Thank you to them! Hope to be back!
Cons: The coffee was machine-made and not very pleasant. This really matters when in France! People should also know that it feels like a long walk in the heat to shops and restaurants, so ideally you need a bike or car when you stay here. The patios are small and enclosed with no view, and there is not much greenery around the premises. Food is not permitted in the rooms - this is a bit tough and not very practical for people with children considering the hotel only serves breakfast and the nearest restaurant is not that close by.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location a quick walk from the beach. Near the center of Bois-Plage, market, chemist, supermarket... The hotel is beautiful, well kept by the owners, who are charming. The family suite was well set out, perfectly clean, with very confortable beds! The little courtyard was a plus. The pool is small but really nice, clean with lots of sun beds. The breakfast is good too!
Cons: Nothing to say!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Provided me with gluten food. Breakfast was excellent. Very comfortable bed. Attractive complex.
Cons: Parking was tight. No external views.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness Location Staff
Cons: Smoke alarm had been removed presumably to change battery?

Pros: Loved the place and location. Great exclusive accomodations. Awesome breakfast. Swimming pools is bit small.

Cons: Othing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Benjamin: thanks for your excellent breakfast service
5.8 Okay
Pros: The building was modern and clean
Cons: Very stark, blank decor in room. Bathroom layout extremely impractical, can't turn lights on without disturbing other people in the room. Sink taps too big to use the sinks properly, shower water barely hot at maximum temperature. Matress too hard for my husband although I slept well. Breakfast and check out not in the same building, fragmented layout, confusing! No designated parking at the hotel even for a 'luxury' room. Did not feel like a hotel but more like a gite or chalet complex.
