New, stylish, functional and exceptionally clean. The hotel is at the Spanish/French frontier and is in an area designed for overnight stop for international transport lorries. Therefore it is not very attractive. But the hotel itself is attractive.
Close to Motorway. Very modern facilities, especially for the disabled.
Friendly staff, squeeky clean room, location away from the main motorway Breakfast room set up was pretty basic
The room each week is excellent, clean and very modern...I would say best hotel Ive stayed in for such a reasonable price no
The position of the hotel to Autopista was excellent , but no noise. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Very very good value .Highly recommend as a mid way stop .
Staff were very helpful, good location from auto route The secure car park was breached by thieves
The hotel is very modern and welcoming It's location is very convenient but what an awful place, a huge service station with lorries everywhere and the road exits are hard to find.
It,s a very relaxing hotel, clean, large comfortable rooms, good service, excellent breakfast.
Modern clean and very comfortable at a good price, very easy to find and good for en route stays
Very happy with quality of accommodation only comment I would make is when booking the hotel the description for the location lead me to believe it was in a. National park not an industrial estate
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The motel is only accessible from a toll road, the internet use is intermittent, a smell of sewage invades the rooms (apparently when the wind is from a certain direction), the shower head is blocked with calcium buildup.
The receptionist was very helpful and welcoming. The garages were useful to give a sense of security for the car. I was unaware that the hotel was in the service area of the stop and came off at the junction so ended up having to go back towards Barcelona the next day rather than heading onwards to France! This should be mentioned in the description.
Jonquera was the main factor for using the hotel due to the distance from Barcelona. The location en route north should be highlighted on the booking form - we had to travell south after leaving the hotel in order to continue north. Breakfast (at 9.30) was disappointing. Only scrambled eggs (which were very old / black) were available as a hot breakfast.
Really excellent position after a long drive across France enroute to our home on the Costa Blanca. Have stayed here before and enjoyed it again.
Easy to reach by the main road. Too hot. No air condition and no windows to open.
Easy to find, quick and easy check in. I checked in with pets. The door to the room could have done with some insulation so stop my dogs barking at every noise outside the room. I think the hotel had tiled floors throughout which meant you could hear every wheeled suitcase clacking along the tiles along with the lady wearing stiletoes above us. Once everyone seemed to be checked into their rooms (approx 11pm), the night was quiet and peaceful.
The way in which the staff were so helpful, nothing was to much trouble for them. I would like to add that due to a fault with our car we had to cancel our stay on the return journey but on contacting the hotel they were so understanding and the cancelation was accepted with a no fee having to be paid.
The hotel staff were very friendly, especially the receptionist, who couldn't do enough to accommodate our needs. Although reported by other guests, I had no trouble getting to the hotel when travelling towards France. There is an underpass to the left of the petrol station.
Spacious, comfortable room. Convenient situation for our particular journey. Did not have its own restaurant or bar--only the motorway self service restaurant. We felt completely trapped in the middle of a motorway with no access to other facilities. The hotel is in effect "room only".
Attitude and help of the receptionist. Incredibly vast bed!
On entering the lobby it was plush and it smelt lovely and so did the room and it was so very clean, relaxing colours and peaceful balcony. Its situated in a very busy shopping street which is probably why its there but parking could perhaps be a problem.
Allways our nightstopp on our way to and back from Malaga No, exept maybe the parking situation
nothing special the restaurant was closed, the room was cold when we came there.
It was very calm. Only one chair for two people to sit on is a difficult task. No elevator and two nasty flights up.
clean , good price
Central, family run, full of Dali memorabilia and history. Quiet and elegant with helpful, friendly polite staff. Would have liked option of fridge in room to store water etc. Restaurant food was expensive but rather disappointing.
The hotel was very nice. Location was good. no WIFI in our room. The first night we got woken at 12.30 at night by a wailing dog. We went to reception to complain and the staff didn´t solve the issue, they said they´d have to wait for the owners to come back to from eating, we waited almost 90 mins. Unhelpful staff.
Great location, very nice rooms, great breakfast option (spend the extra for the buffet), and unusual restaurant options.
Garage easy to access
parking garage , close to Dali Museum , and hotel dining room .
Good location for visiting Dali museum, town square and day trip to Cadaques area.
A beautiful older hotel, recently remodeled, in the center of town and within walking distance of the main plaza and the Dali museum. It is easy to drive to and has secure off street parking. Our room was great with large, modern bathroom and adjacent courtyard. A wonderful place!
The location is close to the Dali museaum and has interesting Dali memorabilia in the hallways.. The room had a stark aspect with one window and no charm or great efficency. The dining room opens at 20:30. After two nights we changed hotels to the Rambalas.
A small but I was in a single, new clean and nicely decorated room with a big tiled shower! I would stay there again if in the area.
The renovation they bdid to the hotel None
Pleasantly surprise by the hotel and facilities
we ate at the 'buffet volonte' in the evening so we were able to eat and drink as much as we wanted to and then went up to our hotel room - no worries about being stopped for a breathaliser
location near french border
Excellent, clean and relaxing Nothing at all
Good budget hotel right next to the motorway at La Jonquera. Good restaurant next door.
Location, reasonable price, easy parking, ok room, nearby restaurants and bars. Good place for an overnight stay if travelling late from Girona airport towards France, but not a holiday location.
relaxation Could have done with extra pillows
Very comfortable, well-equipped and clean room. The evening restaurant service and food was of quite high standard. Excellent service. Breakfast seems quite Mediterranean with an over-abundance of cakes. For a northerner like myself, I missed a better variety of healthy breakfast items, such as muesli and better bread. Other than that, it was fine.
The location was good within 5 minutes walk from the Dali's museum. The hotel staff was unfriendly, unwilling to help with luggage and not speaking one word in English.
The location is very close to railway station, bus station and Dali museum, the big room and big beds the chamber maid didnt clean the room properly, no internet acsess in the rooms,
The room was wonderful - lovely mural behind the bed, witty furnishings, quiet, comfortable. The hotel didn't look much from the outside but it was great inside. Excellent breakfast. Convenient parking. Very helpful staff.
The hotel has a nice interior and friendly staff, but our room was very dusty, the dust was everywhere, on the back of the bed, on the lights above the bed, on the curtains, I wish I did not open the window :(
choice for breakfast was very good and hotel was well situated for city amenities no night service: we arrived at midnight and were unable to have a drink of any description. manager was not very welcoming although we had virtually no Spanish. Although the breakfast itself was excellent the hotel was obviously understaffed. good value for money though
The relaxed breakfasts were ideal for holiday times. The di9ning restaurant had a great atmosphere. We had a triple room which left very little circulation space but all in all a very pleasant experience. Lack of space in the room once third bed had been utilised.
Nearby to the centre, friendly staff. The restaurant next door owned by the hotel was excellent and the whole place has been renovated recently it seems, so very clean.
Newly renovated, close to town center, parking facilities, good breakfast. In room 501 there was a strong, disturbing noise from some sort of machine, probably a fan, probably on the roof. It stopped late evening but made it hard to fall asleep.
Convenient to where my son lives - 10 minute walk - hotel was extremely clean and tidy and staff were very helpful - breakfast was served later than uk hotels
Nicely appointed rooms with all the comfort adequate for staying at Figueres and visiting the Dali Museum.
The service is purposely good. This is a place that understood the value of Internet reviews and ratings such as tripadvisor and booking.com. Therefore, they really try to make you feel good. Very nice rooms above the standard of a 3 star place. Nice sound system for the tv in the ceiling. The breakfast is the downside of this place and I hope they will use reviews such as this to correct it. It's a pity not to offer a consistent experience until the end. They should offer more fruits options, ideally cut, and eggs.
Excellent location. Very friendly staff. Spacious and clean room.
The Hotel is very clean and modern. The staff was extremly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great.
The staff was very friendly and the room was comfortable with lots of nice paintings. The location in the centre of Figues, next to the Dali museum, was perfect.
The art on the walls was great. Every room and the hallways all had nice framed paintings. The place was clean and you would tell the management really tried to make it nice. Also, the location was terrific, right next to the Dali Museum. There was no parking available.
The receptionist Isabel was excellent with suggestions for restaurants and shopping. Shower was very small.
We loved the Hotel Plaza Inn because it was so whimsical! The room was comfortable and a good size, people were great, wonderful rooftop terrace with great views of the city. Extremely close to the Dali Museum which was convenient for our visit. I loved all of Mr. Falgas' toys and kiddie rides which I noticed throughout the remainder of our trip wherever we traveled.
Location, staff politeness, comfort, clean room, customisation of the hotel
Hotel is well located and staff and facilities very good. Good value.
Excellent location Thin walls, we could hear noise in the hall
Very comfortable and relaxing. Beautiful environment and view.
Watching the scenery and beautiful views of the mountains. They changed through the lights and weather and made for a spectacular sunset. Great golf destination. Peaceful. Several extra costs were found along the way, which we expected would be included, eg. additional cost of daily entry to the indoor pool/tennis courts, etc.
we hv visited various hotels and this hotel was really the best we hv seen , splendid.
Booked only because we went to a wedding which was at the hotel, room was big and looked lovely. we had a room on the ground floor with a patio onto the swimming pool area, there was a party there on the night we arrived which went on until about midnight, even though the patio doors had double glazing we could hear everything from the party, then when it finished, they were in the corridors walking up and down and shouting at each other, at 2.30 am I phoned reception and asked them to sort it out, which they did. 7am golfers start trollys down corridor. linked door to make it a family room and could hear all talk through that door - soundproofing needed. breakfast limited and aimed at N europeans not UK I only had croissants. Our key card stopped working and we had to ask reception to let us into our room but eventually fixed.
Judit at the front desk was wonderful. She helped me plan my bus trip to and from Cadaques, and even loaned me her personal hair dryer since the one in my room was broken. While the public areas were nice (lobby, hallways, stairs, etc), the rooms desperately need an update. The walls are thin so outside and hallway noises are clearly heard in the room. The heater makes random noises throughout the night. The hair dryer was broken. The bathroom was outdated. The worst part, though, was the seeping of cigarette smoke into my room. I stayed for 2 nights and barely got any sleep.
We arrived in Figueres in the evening and were looking for somewhere convenient to park and spend the night. The reception staff were very helpful and showed us to our rooms at check-in. The town was a short walk away where we had some good foot to eat in the main square. An ideal place to rest for a night or two before continuing your journey
Quite glad it wasn4t where the other central hotels were;big secure parking.english spoken.good welcome.nice terrace
Figueres is small so the castle and the Dali museum are nearby. We had a good last minute deal for this hotel. Staff is friendly. We thought it would be quietly located because it is out of the centre, however one side is on a road with traffic also at night. Breakfast and breakfast hall did not live up to our expectations.
Not expensive and located in the heart of Figueres, only 10 minutes by foot to fantastic Dali Museum - this is the main reason od staying there. Moreover, the excellent cuisine recommanded by Michelin in the hotel restaurant - the second reason.
Nice location, friendly staff, good restaurant.
There is one good room "sweet", it is large, it has little hall and lot of mirrows, good shower. And also we liked the dinner in the restaurant. The rooms are very little and there isn't good rooms with double bed (we visited 4 rooms)
Good price. Free parking. Adequate facilities. Lonish walk to center of town.
very estethic , has a real gourme restaurant located in the hotel. such that attracts clients from quiet distant places. it seems it doesnt have aircondition, not sure about it.
The staff are extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is outstanding. A perfect location for visiting all Dali museums. Thoroughly recommend it! No
Easy walking distance into town. Nice quite hotel. Good food but a little expensive.
Food at restaurant was excellent. Easy reach of centre of Figueres. Rooms modern and comfortable. Good private parking.
The Reataurant is excellent also the design especially of the bathrooms is high style I do feel the breakfast could share more of the epicurean theme.
The hydromassage bath It was quite a way to walk outside the town, further than expected, and not easy to access from the road if arriving on foot.
Room was spotless, food was excellent.
The hotel was located on the outskirts of Figueres and handy for the motorway The restaurant was very expensive, the food pretentious and the service very slow. We had water leaking into our room from the air conditoning system, when the reception was informed we were told, with a shrug, it was the high humidy.
Good location, quiet place, clean, 24h reception (I arrived late at night).
The restaurant was excellent Whilst the bathroom was adequate I thought the bedroom was not very inviting or particularly comfortable
It was lovely, clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a small boutique hotel, very classy!
High class, excellent in all ways. None
Very friendly staff. Phantastic room, very spacy, large beds, excellent atmosphere, outstanding architecture, godd breakfast. The room ( 104 ) we had was luxury class!!!!
An almost faultless hotel. The owner and her staff were outstanding hosts, very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The accommodation and the service are first class and the place is spotlessly clean. Very quiet, central location in the historic centre, with free parking across the square or private garage if required. Lots of good restaurants and easy access to the Dali museums, local nature reserves and the coast. Highly recommended. No criticisms at all except the swimming pool is a little small, but we had access to the "sister" hotel's swimming pool which was very good.
The best in this hotel is the all thing toghether: price, personal, room the city. This is one of the best hotel I have been and I travel a lot for business.
altogether a really nice quiet place to stay , very friendly staff. one suggestion they should recommend restaurant in the village.
This is a great place for an overnight stop if exploring this area of Spain. Try if you can to book room 103, it really is luxurious, and very spacious. The decor is very rich and the whole place is beautifully restored. The staff were very friendly and relaxed. Only niggle was I had to pay an extra 6 euros for the parking which wasn't mentioned on the booking.
Situated in the medieval area of a small village, close to many attractions and superb beaches in the Costa Brava region. Small hotel with friendly family-like atmosphere and staff that really care. The pool area was not crowded vven though we visited during high season, most of the time we had it to ourselves. The family room consisted of two large double beds next to each other and it acommodated the four of us easily. Even though the village is small, it offers nice restaurants. Please be aware that the cathedral area parking, athough free and within easy walking distance from the hotel, needs to be vacated on market days. Otherwise you end up picking up the car in a compound which will set you back 154,50 Euros. The problem was solved by the service-minded hotel owner who both drove me to the compund, and used her own cash as as they did not take credit card. In this way we made it in good time to our flight.
Room decor - size of room and beds - facilities in the room - upgrade automatically provided if available - friendliness and efficiency of staff - location None worth mentioning
completely unexpected, the ambience of a luxury Tuscan retreat in the hidden countryside of Catalonia. A warm welcome from the owners and Felix the dog. Totally peaceful, magic breakfast by the pool. Easy reach of Figueras and the French border. So magical I almost don't want to share it with anyone!
great location and excellent food, service and ambiance beds were rather hard - mattress toppers would help
Good hotel, very good price. You need a car to stay there because it's 3km far from the city in a commercial area. The staff is very kind, the room is clean and simple. None
Ease of finding, well at least it would have been if I came in on the right road! I found the access road to the reception difficult. It was very high tech and modern and remote from other bars. Quite boring area really.
A modest, yet comfortable and pleasant lodging for a reasonable price. Helpful receptionists! It's within a walking distance from the town, although not so close as I expected (about 20 min, I think). Fine for those who are fond of walking - we were satisfied! :)
clean room, good location, free parking, wifi and coffee )
This is a great inexpensive hotel. The hotel and rooms were very clean and well maintained. It is also close to shopping and easily accessible.
easy to find, large bed, plenty of parking spaces, wall mounted televisions made plenty of noise between rooms 2..00 am not good at all
The overall cleanliness and neatness of lines.
Clean, simple the shower
Very good hotel very hard to find in the dark!
Clean and modern hotel with all facilities that you might need inc WiFi and parking. Hard to find even GPS struggled. In a poor location for eating we again drove around for a while.
