Proximity to Big Bend National Park was certainly a plus, and El Dorado provided an opportunity to visit with locals who choose to spend time at the restaurant and bar on site. The amenities were extremely basic, no wifi service was offered, cell service was weak if present at all, and the expense compared to other accommodations offered in nearby towns seemed high. Premium price for meager accommodations. Stay here if you must stay in Terlingua for some reason, otherwise you will find a nicer place up he road a piece.

Location next to Big Bend National Park Shower door wouldn't close, allowing water on floor, no knob on the water control in shower, towels were paper thin. The place needs some attention to details.

Large, simple Tipi with gravel floor great for getting out of the elements of the weather and camping. The feeling of how we used to sleep next to Mother Earth. You have your own private bathroom located just outside with sink, shower and flush toilet. You have a full bed (soft linens and feather comforter provided), table and chair to enjoy the space as well as electricity and WiFi. There is a coffee/tea bar inside of the tipi. Located in the heart of Terlingua ghost-own and within walking distance of 4 restaurants and 3 bars. **Note the tipi is made of canvas and impossible to seal due to the poles sticking thru the top. That said, if it rains hard here in the desert you may experience some rain coming in from top - dripping into the center of the tipi. Please take care to keep your stuff away from the middle of the tipi if there is a chance of rains. HomeAway
