Overview
Who says Las Vegas is only for adventure travelers, couples, and gamblers? Three miles south of the Strip is Cancun Resort, a family resort with lots of kid-friendly features. While this is a Diamond Resorts International time-share hotel, non-members are welcome as well.
The main draw to the resort is the pool area featuring a large pyramid and hot tubs. On one side of the pyramid, a cascade of water flows down from the steep steps to a buzzing pool. On the other side, four slides open to a quieter, less crowded pool. Hot tubs are spotted around and underneath the pyramid. A barbeque area with patios and tables are a family favorite, but the on-site restaurant also serves American bar-style food. A spa and gym are available to guests, as well as an activity center and game room.
Accommodations at Cancun Resort are large apartment-style villas with multiple flat-screen TVs, fully-stocked kitchens, jetted tubs, separate living room, and spacious balconies. The rooms are large and cozy made to resemble beachside cottages. Even the smaller one-bedrooms have enough room for a family week-long vacation.
Though the Strip and other attractions are a 15-minute car ride, the resort offers plenty of amenities to keep kids entertained. With spacious and comfortable villas and penthouse suites, this desert resort offers the ideal getaway and one-of-a-kind family-friendly off-the-Strip experience in Las Vegas.

Cons (-) My only issue with this hotel/resort is the cleanliness. Upon our arrival, first thing I look at is how clean the hotel is, that’s what matters most to me. After a quick inspection of the place to kind of see if everything works properly, we found the living room sofa had unknown white stains on it, we had to cover it up with a huge blanket to even sit on it. Pros (+) The pool grounds were nice. You could tell they take care of the upkeep for that area. As well, the bar staff was super friendly.
Cons (-) Overall dissapointed with my stay. When I checked in it was smooth, but I had to wait till 5 pm to check into my room. After check in, I was harassed about not wanting to buy a timeshare. I tried to use the Business center and the fax and printer machine was not working. When I tried asking for assistance. No one could assist me.
