First room, hot water was only a trickle for the fancy tub. Sent maintenance up and he couldn’t fix it. Upgraded us to a better room. This room, however, had an a/c unit needing attention. Called again and they fixed it. A bit of a hassle, but overall a great hotel.
Awesome, attentive service from all staff. Gorgeous hotel, beautiful room. Superb experience all around.
We paid for 2 nights in the 2 bedroom suite. Our suite was not ready and we did not check in until 6:30 pm. We missed our show that night. Master bathroom had mildew growing all along caulking with a strong smell of mildew was present when in the bathroom. Two times we were told they would send someone to clean. No one showed up. Terrible front desk service and just bad experience all around.
Pros. Staff is super professional and the most friendly people in Vegas. From valet to check in. I was completely surprised and pleased with the care each person gave. The bathroom was amazing, and the tub is wonderful.
Cons. There are some features of the room that failed miserably. For example, the push button light system is connected to a backend over wifi. Meaning, if you push a button to turn off the lights, a signal is sent to a backend which actually performs the function. If the wifi is slow, it will take time for the action to complete. We also had some major problems with the tv remote. Also the TV volume would go up and down by itself, and it would turn on all by it self. We had to have engineering come in and take a look. It turned out to be a remote problem, but we had to have this taken care of at 11:00 at night.
Pros. The accommodations were amazing
Cons. Food and service in the Zen Cafe could have been much better.
Cons. Zen Kitchen was so high priced it made me feel dirty. I expected everything to cost more because of the touristy nature of the area but Zen Kitchen was the one place that was extremely high priced.
Pros. Quiet. Very pleasant, welcoming staff. Overall an excellent property.
Cons. Some wonky light switches, an old covered up phone plate in the bathroom that looked like a third-rate cover up, and a phone that did not work...would not hold a charge. These are deficiencies a 5 star cannot allow.
Pros. Huge decline in overall value
Cons. Since Hilton Hotels took over the Mandarin Oriental just about every corner that can be cut has been cut. No more water by bedside no more bathroom amenities. They have greatly cheap in the hotel and believe it should not be ranked much more than a three or four star experience at this point
