Friendliness of the staff. Excellent food. The price. Too expensive for a place that does not even have an elevator.
It's atmosphere and surronding amazing area
The hotel has been beautifully updated with elegant lighting and artwork. There is a deck off the back of the third floor - perfect for watching the mountains, pastures and trains. Breakfast room is big, clean and inviting. The restaurant food was wonderful, as was the wine list. A perfect location for visiting the Swiss National Park. Located a bit close to the main road, but, still plenty quiet at night. They could have had more information on hand regarding visiting the Park (but the Park Visitor House is in walking distance).
The staff were friendly and efficient. The decoration was very tasteful and everything was clean and in great condition. The double room was a bit small, but still very comfortable. It was in the attic (under the roof) so the windows were very low and in order to look outside you had to bend down.
Excellent meals. A very good variety of food at breakfast. Friendly staff. Our balcony had very nice view.
The staff was friendly and from international backgrounds. They tried to provide maps and brochures at our request. Breakfast buffet was good and abundant. The hotel is conveniently located near the train and bus stations. The building has the charm of an old house that has been renovated in the inside, with a country feeling. We had requested a room downstairs because I had a hip replacement, and they offered us a room on the 3rd. floor. After some negotiations they gave us one on the 2nd. floor. No elevator. After a lot of negotiations, and after we signed a receipt, they provided the promissed free internet connection advertised on the website. There seems to be a lack of trust when providing the use of the internet.
The location is very central. We asked for adjacent rooms and we got it. The cuisine was really good and we especially liked the breakfast. Unfortunately there is no lift and for eldery people it is quite a climb to the second floor.
The hotel is located in a beautiful, untouched and somewhat remote spot, which made it perfect for experiencing the incredible natural beauty, without throngs of tourists and the (unattractive) trappings of tourism. The hosts were professional and very open and helpful. The room was spacious and spotless. The hotel encourages visitors to take food from the breakfast buffet to make picnic lunches as well, providing plastic wrap, paper bags, bottles of water and extra snacks - a great and generous touch. Not really.
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Superp food. Good facilities for bikers
Great friendliness, amazing food, wonderful location
The hotel is in a beautiful location and the village of Guarda is very interesting. Good Breakfast and nice garden. Personnel in the dinning room friendly and competent. Dinner overpriced. No elevator and no help with the luggage.
The Hotel Meisser is situated in a beautiful village in the lower Engadine Valley in Switzerland called Guarda. The hotel is well-run, the staff is very helpful and make you feel part of the Meisser family while you are there. It is quiet, the food is excellent, and the mountain views spectacular. We would definitely stay here again.
Location - views of mountains, quiet relaxation in garden
Lovely old style house, nicely decorated.Good breakfast buffet Room service poor, rubbish bin not emptied, bedding not changed, towels removed instead of replaced etc..Informed no coffee at 21:15 as the coffee machine had been turned off. Asked to sit outside with 7°C as the tables inside were set for the evening service etc.
Stylish accomodation in a marvelous alpine atmosphere. Very good food.
ambiance of classical mountain hotel of 1900, beautiful dining room and lounge, phantastic location overlooking mountains lack of spa facilities
I loved the atmosphere which was very relaxing and quiet. Guarda has an almost spiritual quality to it. It is a very special place nestled high in the mountains. This family who runs the place obviously work very hard.
This location is quiet and comfortable for only one traveller like me. Staff is so kind. Swiss wine and Hot pot are my best memories !
Warm and friendly staff--the couple who ownb the hotel could not have been helpful and gracious. Excellent breakfast and dinner.
Home from home, personal attention and superb food
