Wonderful services, location, facilities and staff. No. I have stayed there several times and it is always a pleasure to go back.
The lovely grounds, freindly staff and the bathrobes
Breakfast was excellent, staff attentive, homely atmosphere. Would like to have had tea and coffee making facilities in room.
Nice overall impression. Considerig that the hotel was build in an old Monestary, the rooms very not very well isolated, causing big differnece in temperateure in diffierent parts of the room.
Room 106 comfortable though smaller than room we had on last visit. Bathroom possibly in need of upgrading. Bath tap a bit difficult to control and water emptying from bath very slow. Staff very friendly and helpful. See comment on bathroom.
we found the staff courteous ,friendly and helpful. It was an excellent example of a small friendly and very comfortable hotel. One lack is the absence of a comfort tray ie tea/coffee tray in the room.
Nice architecture, historical, convenient to city center.Good breakfast.
Hotel staff, garden Access to the parking
Nice furnishings and friendly people.
Friendly & helpful staff. Several items in the room were missing or broken. Requested they be fixed but not taken care of because it was the weekend.
We loved your staff and your services. Your staff were friendly, knowledgable, and willing to help us get around the city. Your hosted breakfast was wonderful as well, and it added to the value of our room. We will recomend Hotel New Damshire to all of our friends when they visit Leuven. The only problems we had were the intense smell of smoke in our non-smoking room and the sound of construction in the morning. We realize that there is not much you can do about the latter, and we were very satisfied with our stay.
Excellent breakfast - friendly & helpful staff. Excellent location for town centre. Room heating controls confusing and without explanation.
Value for money, pleassant staff
the hotel staff, the fact that is very near to Oude Markt and Begijnhof The street is a bit noisy
The location of the hotel meant that the centre of Leuven was within 10 minutes. Parking of the hire car was easy, as I could park almost in front of the main hotel entrance in a metered parking space (free overnight as long as the car is moved by 9am) The light switches in the room were strangely configured so that I could not turn off the bedside lights without going to the main switch by the door.
Very friendly receptionist helping at the desk after late arrival. Room was poor of furniture and athmosphere/ old sixties.
Wired internet is comfortable, and small refrigerator is available, bus stop is nearby, and staff is helpful. A blanket was not so good, and people in 4th floor must use stair.
Helpful staff who are friendly and very honest.
The bed was good and the staff was very helpful. I liked the breakfasts.
small room, bit congested. No fridge in the room. Breakfast should have been complimentary. Friendly, helpful staff. Budget accommodation for a single person.
very nice and welcomig staff. small rooms, but yet very well furnished there,s was an akward smell that sometimes came out of the toilet?
cleanliness of hotel and central location noise transmitted from other rooms
Feeling at home ( 5th year we stayed at the IBIS ). Staff very friendly and helpful ( especially Joost ).
very close and conveniently to the centre; all you need when staying for a short in the big city
Location Expensive, pokey car park with very tight access
Staff was very friendly Restaurant was a bit too small. Some days there was not a table available for having breakfast...
Helpful and friendly staff. Efficient reception and rooms clean and well maintained
Friendly staff. Very nice room.
Nice clean bathroom. small room and needs insulation (one can hear everything going on in other rooms and in the corridor) - otherwise good. Please note that the "Fair" comments above are not complaints, as I did not expect the Ibis to be a 5 star hotel.
Right in the middle of town. Basic but clean with pleasant staff and the breakfast is sufficient to curb hunger pangs. Rooms are above a cocktail bar, which was not a problem. But be warned this is a university town and we got caught in" freshers" week so the external noise was obtrusive. But if you want a nightlife location this hotel is well situated.
central position, large room with TV, large bathroom with enough facilities, large windows that openet into two different streets. Good breakfast in any amount. There is a pub in the first level of the building, which is dusty in the evenings and sometimes noisy. Breakfast was served only from 7.30. Fustiness in the room.
The location is very central and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There are no no-smoking rooms.
Although the accomadation was above a cocktail bar, there was not too much disturbance from noise as it was a bustling, busy establishment with plenty of character. It was very pleasant to go downstairs to enjoy a drink before retiring
Good breakfast, friendly service My room was not non-smoking and had a slight musty smoke aroma.
The location is excellent, the lady at the reception was friendly and the wifi connection was cheaper than elsewhere. We were travelling with a 2 month old baby, and that was no problem. We could use the microwave to warm up the bottles if necessary, and I saw people using the fridge in the kitchen. There was no mini-bar in the rooms, the furniture was very "rudimental", the bath tub was looking old (but clean), the elevator was very tiny (the buggy barely fitted), the bar at the reception was a very smoky place, and the breakfast was served there also. The breakfast was ok, but the bread and croissant quality was quite poor.
Location was right in the middle of town. Very dated! The bar was in better nick than the bedrooms.
Good location, friendly staff, nice Belgian cafe.
Kind to offer early access to room and very helpful, cheerful staff. Comfortable bed. Very noisy room above bar and on street front, so if this annoys you then ask for back rooms.
Leuven is an expensive town compared to other towns.
Very friendly staff and pleasant breakfast room that bar during the day and evening. Useful area for smokers. Convenient position near the centre of the city Rooms in reasonably but not perfect condition. Felt as if could do with some new paint. Bathroom door was a folding door that made a lot of noise in the middle of the night. Sound insulation poor but not a major problem
The loctaion near the square THe bad smell of smoking throughout the hotels including the non- smoking room.Taxi that was arranged by the hotel did not arrive and the morning staff had no idea which taxi company was meant to to be do the collection. I was 45 min late fore my business appointment
The hospitality of the staff Smell of smoking in breakfast area
Fairly basic room facilities
rooms are old and shaby, need urgent renovation
