Located right next to lush green Eduardo VII Park; very comfortable hotel equipped with all the facilities that a luxury traveller would expect; extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Breakfast buffet needs a lot of improvement. Breakfast was pretty basic not as per standard one would expect from a 5 star intercontinental. I had seen much better breakfast buffet in other InterContinentals in the region. Perhaps more choices of more international cuisines can be added. Besides, a variety of local Portuguese varieties can also be introduced. The good thing in breakfast was inclusion of Champaign in the buffet.

Noise level from outside event was very disappointing. In additional we were not properly notified in advance

Location and friendly staff
The water stopped running in the middle of my shower. It appeared they knew about the water shutdown but failed to tell the hotel guests. Seemed a strange way to manage this. However once I called they were very apologetic.
