Little Corn Island hotels

Pros: The location was great & the family who ran the business were wonderful, very hospitable & friendly. They were always there to help.

Cons: The accommodation is very basic, but this is an island. We still enjoyed it.

Pros: Very helpful staff,nice breakfast at the beach bar.

Cons: Super loud fan, mosquitos kept getting in from somewhere even after I killed all the ones in the room.

Pros: great host, very good localization, clean, we got a coconut for free from the tree in the garden :)

Pros: - Dina and Abner are fantastic people, really friendly and helpful. - The location is incredible, 5 minute walk into the village on a well lit path and on the sunset side of the island (calm and quiet). - 10 minute walk to the South beaches and coves which we had all to ourselves! 30 minute walk to the North beach which has a small bar serving food and a snorkelling shack - The room was large with lots of shelving and comfortable bed. Nice communal area and hammocks in a well kept garden. - Good breakfast with vegan option (NOTE: it is at the beach bar not the property but is only a short walk as mentioned above) - The stars!

Cons: Nothing, but just to note.. the WiFi isn’t available on the property but at the beach bar.

Pros: We had a fantastic time at Dreamcatcher. From the moment we got off the boat we were welcomed by Abner who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The place itself is located within walking distance of the hustle and bustle and in my opinion the best location on the island. You get to watch beautiful sunsets just lying in your hammock and you are surrounded by a beautiful Oasis. The room has all the basic amenities that you need and is cleaned every other day with fresh bed sheets and towels. There is also complimentary breakfast at beach bar which is a 5-10 min walk depending on how slow or fast you go. It was a lovely breakfast and if Abner is making his toasties make sure to try them out. We only intended to stay 3 nights but stayed over a week and didn’t want to leave. Hope you enjoy the place as much as we did.

Pros: Dina and Abner are great hosts, very welcoming and helpful! They serve a great breakfast at their beachclub, which is included and a great deal! The location is perfect and quiet. You can watch the sunset from your hammock. Nice bed as well!

Pros: I had a private room, shared bath. The room is basic and clean and 2 shared bathrooms were clean. Kitchen was ok and well used during my stay and there are restaurants a short walk away. Hostel is centrally located in town and Dive shops are a short walk away. Price for room was excellent and I felt safe walking around the area. Power on little corn island is off daily from 5am to 1pm, and without the fan the rooms can get a little warm.

Pros: - The hostel is located near the town and the ferry pier (5 min walk) - Individual fan at each bed - Curtain at each lower bunk bed - Nice and big common kitchen, which I never used - Nice common are, but no guests to share it with - Good WIFI

Cons: - No locker for luggage, just a small wooden box - I was put in the dorm right next the small main street, so a bit noisy - Nice host but seems like they are running a small shop at the same time, so not a lot of interaction with the staff

Pros: The location and staff are great, when that power goes off so does the fan, and your up early. Lots of meeting fellow travellers.

Cons: The wifi in my room was not great, they worked at it. The outside seating area could use a bit more comfort. The kitchen was not very well stocked.

Pros: Randy is a very helpful and nice guest. He also has a supermarket in the same building which is a plus. The kitchen is spacious and clean.

Cons: room very basic, but fair for its price

Pros: The hostal is located only a couple minutes walk from the pier and a close walk to all the restaurants. The little shop the have on site is cheaper than most on the island. Staff were helpful! There is a little kitchen and fridge. Overall it was cheap and cheerful. We stayed here 3 nights then went to the other side of the island and came back for a night. Despite its downfalls I would recommend it.

Cons: We left our snorkel gear outside our room and it got stolen overnight. Real shame as we didn’t expect this on little corn. The kitchen isn’t the best equipt with lack of cutlery and no mugs for hot drinks. No filtered drinking water available (we filled ours up at a local restaurant)

Pros: The staff is really nice and helpful. The location is very good and is close to most of the restaurants. It was clean and nice. Good value for money.

Pros: After arriving by boat from Big Corn Island we were met by a lady on the jetty (my name was on a card) who was the owner. We were able to walk to our hotel which was ideal. Check in was simple and our room was ready. Room 2. When we arrived two Dutch girls were complimentary about the place and breakfast so that was good too. Air con in room but electric restriction from 1-10 but did not have an impact on us. In fact reminded me of an eco lodge in the amazon we stayed at which restricted electricity use so very much in favour of this. We only had breakfast at the hotel and it was more than sufficient to last the day. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel after check out as our boat back to Big Corn Island was not until late afternoon. The owner was very helpful and friendly. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Cons: Cold water shower! Not sure if this was in all rooms or just ours.

Pros: great location for me as a diver. the discount for diving was great and staff were friendly and helpful when I could find them. room was clean and ac worked great when there was power.

Cons: breakfast was a choice of omelette or nica and instant (wtf) coffee or juice so much better to go to the shack and get a real breakfast .mosquitoes were fierce any time I tried to enjoy the balcony but then that isn't the fault of the hotel.

Pros: My favorite thing was the location and the easygoing atmosphere of the place. The AC worked well too!

Cons: The bathrooms.... and some of the staff..some of them seemed like they didn’t want to be there and it reflected in their attitude. Perhaps smile more?

Pros: Breakfast was good, a variety to chose from. Nice with air conditioning, and balcony. The room was spacious, and for 3 people we had plenty of room.

Cons: We found a used soap bar in our bathroom window with hair. Grose. The staff at the restaurant could definitely be more friendly. The lady who took our order during breakfast was kind and serviceminded, but the people behind the counter if the restaurant could take a smiling course. Receptionist was nice and helpful!

Pros: The location is perfect! Just at the and of the ‘main street’. We were with 4 divers and we really loved the dive school ‘dolphin dive’. The rooms were big, with good aircon and clean bathroom. Breakfast was delicious.

Cons: The staff can be more friendly. They help you a lot, but everything seems to cost them a lot of energy and they Don’t seem happy doing their job. Made us feel a little awkward sometimes.

Cons: Not as much "Sea View" as the name and pics suggest, but a nice quaint place to stay. Rooms are hot, and there's a rooster, but it seems like that's the entire island. From what I've heard there are 2 places on little corn that have air conditioning. And they likely have roosters. Haha

Cons: Sea view with no sea view. It actually was a $20 room, not $40. Every night we could hear the sound of the reggae bar until late and people noise early in the morning.

Pros: there were fruit trees growing all around ,mango, coconut , paw paw , avacado , so no need to buy fruit , the booking was for a dorm , but I actually got a private room for no extra cost . It was very peaceful if that s what you want

Cons: There are home cooked meals available but they are very basic ,and a little expensive $8 for what they are . I bought some BBQ sauce and mayo to pep them up . Its a long walk 25-30 minutes to the town

Pros: The location is amazing. It really is a 2 minute walk from the most beautiful beach on the island. It’s basic but very clean and the people are really lovely. My room was big and the bed was comfortable. It’s great value for money!

Pros: We had a fantastic stay at Dobedo. As other reviewers have mentioned, it's located right next to the most expensive place on the island and shares the same beach, for a fraction of the cost. It's a great option for those who want to get away from it all, relax, spend time on the beach and just unplug. It is rustic/fairly basic but the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Food was good (whole fish for dinner - yum!) and the family are really friendly. They even booked us a snorkelling tour which picked us up from their beach - super convenient. Would definitely recommend.

Cons: This is not a great option for anyone with mobility issues or someone who doesn't like walking. As others have mentioned, it's a good 30 min walk to the village. We loved getting the exercise and seeing the island. Can be a pain if you don't want to walk in the dark for dinner but you can have dinner on-site and there are other walkable options around. Again, we enjoyed this aspect!

Pros: Beautiful garden setting near a stunning beach (only a two minute walk away). Laid back vibe and friendly staff. Basic facilities but clean. Big but pleasant walk of about 40 minutes from the jetty and restaurants.

Pros: It was such a awesome place to stay for 5 days! We stayed in a really nice bungalow surrounded by banana trees and lovely garden! We could cook our own meal in the shared-kitchen and enjoyed aswell really good fresh fish at lunch-served from our nice friend in the hostel. The owner and his family are so friendly and helpful and we played a lot of pool :) If you want to escape from your daily routine-come to this place and enjoy the people-silence and the beautiful beach! All in all it was an amazing week! Thanks a lot for this!

Pros: The location is near a great beach. They have a shared kitchen for guest use. The family is friendly and helpful.

Cons: The room has a toilet and sink, but the shower is shared. The booking.com info is a little misleading when it says private bathroom. Most travellers assume this includes a shower, which it doesn't here.

Pros: Be prepared that Dobedo is a 40 minute walk from the dock and most of this is on mud trails. Dobedo is just a few minutes walk to a great beach but nothing else. If you want to eat you need to walk 40 minutes each way tontown.

Cons: They have drinks available at the property to buy but the food was horrible. Highly suggest bringing stuff with you to the island to cook if staying here. Otherwise you are walking 40 minutes each way to get a meal.

Pros: Where to start... 1st: meters away from the most beautiful beach ever.. however the rooms are just terrible, you need to think if you want to stay in the most beautiful beach ever and can cope with really simple rooms! The manager is lovely but they offer a really really basic service! But again, the location is unreal!

Pros: Location is stupendous. Right on a very clean sandy beach in a quiet area of Big Corn. The water is so clean. The manager Cayson was fanstastic.

Cons: Time for an upkeep folks. Paint job, a little effort on updating the bathrooms. Maybe clean the window cases of years of built up crud. Seal the ceiling. We had an infest of flying ants come down through the ceiling. Argh. Got them all and fortunately we are not squeamish but..... We duct taped the falling tile in the ceiling. The breakfast was cold and the coffee was not good.

Pros: The location of the hotel is fantastic, just in front of the ocean (please note that this property is located in "Big" Corn Island, not in the little), the air conditioning is new and works very well, staff were attentive and helpful.

Cons: Besides the bed, everything in the room need to be improved, the property needs a lot of maintenance (old and dirty curtains, humidity in the walls, rusty shower, bad smells, ants in the room, lamp in bad condition, etc.)

Pros: We loved how close to water we were while we had our lovely meals. So relaxing in the morning and wind down in the afternoon with lots of cocktails, then take a dip in the sea! Perfect!

Cons: They couldn’t get our sleeping arrangements correct twice. Thank goodness we all like each other cause we had to share a room for 2 nights together.
