Good location near a tube stop and some restaurants.
First room given to us was on the ground floor. Room had soiled carpet, paint peeling from the walls, cracks in the walls just about everywhere, unpatched dents in the plaster in several locations, and a giant hole in the bathroom wall. Complained about this room to the front desk and demanded a new room. Front desk staff were rude about it - 'well you reserved a standard room' - but relocated us to to a room in the BASEMENT. New room was cleaner, and probably recently updated. However, the only ventilation is a screen-less window that opens at a right angle above the head of the (extremely uncomfortable) bed -- watch your head! There is also a small dinette directly outside of the window where smokers from the residence in the alley behind the hotel like to sit, so no privacy, either. Electrical box above the door hums as long as power is provided to it. Cleaning staff do not acknowledge the existence of the 'do not disturb' light and disturb anyway.
Nice clean room and everything in good order.
The breakfast room is a miserable place, and breakfast not very good.
Friendly staff. Very close to the tube station only 5 minutes walk.
Breakfast was poor , hair dryer was not positioned near a mirror? Door to balcony had a gap causing a draft. in minus degrees quite cold even woith radiator on
Bedroom spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable.
False fire alarm after midnight. Unexciting continental breakfast. No rolls, croissants, cheese, ham etc. Just cereals, bananas, sliced white and brown bread. Noisy road at night.
Was imopressed with cutting-edge technology in a relatively small Avni Kensington hotel
