Amazing hotel, wonderful friendly staff. So relaxing well a stay. Lovely weekend will come back again.
Exceptional hotel Very cosy Feels like home
Breakfast was serviceable but nothing special. The location was further away from the tube stations than I expected. I was very disappointed with the the service - with exception of Gabriella, the staff were arrogant and slightly rude. This is not a hotel I would recommend for single female business travellers.
The service, with the exception of Gabriella was arrogant and made me as a single, female traveller of a certain age feel very uncomfortable. I had to ask for my bathroom toiletries to be replenished and I definitely don’t need a condom to be included in the bathroom kit.
If you ever needed reassurance that the spirit of adventure is alive and well, even in the center of London, Blakes is it. Designed by former Bond girl Anouska Hempel, now known globally for her striking interior designs, this iconic Kensington/Chelsea couture hotel is a world of grandeur and exoticism. Behind the black Victorian façade, you’ll find a tantalizing fusion of eastern and western styles. Polished mirrors bounce rich walnut tones around the lobby, creating a sense of decadence and theater, while the hotel’s bold new Blakes Restaurant and Blakes Below Bar attracts some of the world's most famous movie stars, actors, and designers. Offering the finest Mediterranean-influenced menu based around the freshest wild ingredients, the intimate 57-seat Blakes Restaurant was inspired by Anouska Hempel’s vision of a beautiful old fashioned steamer sailing up the Bosphorus. Newly designed by Hempel, Blakes Below, offers a distinct Asian flare and a one-of-a-kind experience of exclusivity and privacy.
