The location is good, right next to Queensway with pubs and restaurants, over the road from Hyde Park. Staff at breakfast were great, attentive and helpful, Breakfast was comped by the hotel after a problem with my credit card - for both me and my colleague.
The room was tiny, there should be a warning of this, I have stayed in smaller rooms in London but not often. The room was poorly designed, it was difficult to sit on the toilet and wipe your bottom because you can't get your legs wide enough. I had to stand up! also, the TV bracket was not long enough to allow the TV to be viewed from the Bed, instead you had to sit in the chair and look up at an angle of 45 degrees. Although there were many staff in the restaurant at lunch looking after just 4 or 5 tables it took a long time to get service and longer to get paid, also the chairs had weirdly shallow seats which for meant I constantly felt like I was falling off them
Friendly staff Clean room. Spaceous. Location close to bus and underground station. Opposite the park.
Noise from street can reach inside. Missing salad ( tomatoes, cucumber....etc ) from breakfast buffet.
Room very small for price, wallpaper coming off under window, bathroom to small and shower overflowing each time it was used, not enough tea and coffee in room, I saved for along time for this and feel very let down , I am booked to return in December for a very special anniversary but now I am thinking of cancelling my booking,
Our room. We booked a superior family room with two double beds as my adult granddaughter and I both suffer from back problems, that’s why we’re in London to see consultant, but one bed was an uncomfortable bed settee so we ended up sleeping in one bed. Also the room was below ground, which, for the price and without prior warning, was unacceptable.
The breakfast buffet had a good selection of items.
The lounge was not properly staffed outside of meal hours for refreshment service.
