As a former Londoner it was great to be back in the area I once lived in. Not much has changed and London is still a vibrant place full of action and the south of the centre is the preferred place to live. The hotel is located close to all amenities you need so you can be sure to find food all day long.
As this hotel room was somehow a last minute (emergency) booking for just £45 (very lucky), I booked the single room with a shared bathroom, which wasn't a problem at all, as I just stayed for the night. What I didn't expect, was the fact I would receive a room the size of a build in wardrobe. Opening the door was impossible and the room size itself was a pure joke. The pictures of the single room when you select a room to book were deceiving in this case, as I didn't get a decent sized room, more a Harry Potter living under the staircase experience. You can see for it yourself in the pictures I added. The bed was rickety, the mattress uncomfortable (at least the sheets smelled fresh) and the rest of the room very dusty and looking dirty. If I wouldn't have lived in London for such a long time, knowing the living standard can be under average and it would be my first time, I think I would have cried. Even my best mate who visited me on that day couldn't believe his eyes how small the room is for the money I paid. If you think the room is small on the picture, believe me it is even smaller in reality. Just because I am not very tall it was enough space for me. The reason why I didn't complain immediately was the fact that I had booked another facility with booking a week before, but that premises was somehow fraud and I needed another cheap option for the night close to the location I had to be the next day. I was very tired of the long day journey that started early in the morning. At least the staff was friendly and the location is great. P.S: If I would get half of the money back that I had paid, I think that would be appropriate for the stay.
Friendly staff, very good location
The room was very small, downsrairs, it was not safe and we had to keep the winfiw and curtain closed for secirity znd privacy.
the neighbourhood is SO quiet, it was a dream to sleep uninterupted with the windows open all night for three nights! super close to underground, which is very convenient. Wifi was good. the towels were very nice and fluffy.
the room is very tiny... hardly even enough room to roll our luggage in. a mini fridge would have been nice.
Location, clean, neath, friendly reception. Price was fair.
Staff were fantastic. Excellent value for money. Excellent location.
