Edwardian elegance and modern amenities come together at The Rembrandt hotel in Knightsbridge, London. The hotel’s 193 guest rooms were originally designed to be apartments for London's most famous department store, Harrods. Today, the rooms have been updated to offer an ideal balance of character and comfort.
Services and Amenities
The historical Rembrandt hotel offers two sought-after contemporary perks -- complimentary WiFi and English breakfast. For guests catching an early flight, the hotel will even deliver breakfast to the room. The in-house Palette Restaurant serves traditional British cuisine (and international options) at lunchtime, and because afternoon tea is a must-do while in London, The Rembrandt offers both a traditional and a Champagne version of the repast. Conservatory Bar and 1606 Lounge Bar are ideal for a more casual bite or a cocktail. With a range of event spaces and a warm, hospitable staff, The Rembrandt is also a destination for both business functions and weddings. Guests also receive discounted access to the adjacent Aquilla Health and Fitness Club, which offers a spa and pool.
The Victoria and Albert Museum is just across the street, while the hotel's fashionable neighborhood is home to many trendy boutiques and popular restaurants. Other London must-dos, such as Hyde Park, Harrods, and the Natural History Museum, are within a ten minute walk, and three tube lines are available at nearby South Kensington station.
Service was outstanding. They provided extra towels and outlet adapter when asked. Rooms are spacious and clean. Great place to use for our home base for our anniversary getaway to London. Centrally located downtown. Close to the tube. Full English breakfast was included in our reservation but I was informed that not every reservation qualified for the "full" breakfast and instead they received a continental breakfast.
Limited menu in hotel restaurant.
Our room was on the small side.
The location of the hotel - central, being within walking distance of Knightsbridge tube station, yet quiet enough to get an undisturbed nights sleep! Vey clean hotel, providing a very good breakfast.
The very good location of the hotel and helpful staff, also good heating.
The toilet in the bathroom didn't work too well and no extractor for the steam in bathroom.
its central position to Kingsbridge and shopping
Water in bath and shower not hot enough at any time
The Hotel staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and very very helpful. They always remember me from my previous stay.
The disabled facilties are not upto dda standards. The ramp to the reception is unsafe, too steep and not legal!! You must get the electric wheelchair lift repaired and make sure that it can operated by the wheelchair user from the pavement. either that place a bell outside so that the attention of the reception staff can be alerted. I would recommend this hotel to able bodied persons, but not to wheelchair users.
Paper thin walls, constant slamming of doors in the hallway!
room was quite spacious and location quite central
food was not very good byt fair for England
The Rembrandt is in a great location not far from the many sights of London. We had a wonderful room with a balcony and a spa bath! It was excelent.
Very friendly, helpful staff, comfortable room, well positioned for C London.
Staff were exceptionally helpful and polite. Rooms were very comfortable and newly decorated. Bathrooms great too.
Parking facilities too far away-I struggled with my bags.
