I chose this location for it’s proximity to an early morning appointment. Upon arrival, I was informed for the first time, that I was to give them a $100.00 deposit to make sure I didn’t damage the room or it’s contents. Due to my refusal to pay the deposit it was questionable whether or not my wife and I would be granted access to the room. After some time, my wife and I were allowed access to the room provided however, that at the time of checkout (after both of us were entirely out), the room would be checked for damages This too was very concerning. The property including our room was in poor condition, and I didn’t want to be blamed for existing damages. My wife and I have had many lodging experiences and this was by far the worst.
Pros. Nice room ok breakfast
Cons. Upon entering the parking lot, the was an entire windowpane cracked and duck-taped on the ground floor. Already nervous, entering the lobby was worse. It was dirty and smelled. There was no one at the desk and when the clerk finally arrived, he became agitated when asked about safety and the window. We politely explained that a single young woman was going to be staying alone without a car and the broken window was concern. The clerk became threatening, would not refund our reservation and followed us out to the car and stayed in the parking lot until we drive away. We ended up having to pay another $150 for a room and still have been refunded the Travelodge booking.
