9.0 Excellent
Pros: Extraordinary view ! The owners are very kind and everything was clean. Very nice walks into the gorges around Masca, close to the Teno massif and located at only 15min of Santiago del Teide from where it is very easy to go to the Teide national park.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect holiday location in a superb property, exceptionally clean, very well equipped and comfortable. Pedro is very welcoming and helpful. Thank you
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Masca is amazing. I quess one of the most beautiful places on earth. It is a place where you can hide away from busy world. There are tourists during the day, but the location of Pedros place is very peaceful and view from the balcony...WOW!!! There are many restaurants in Masca with very reasonable prices. And about 15 min walk up hill is a tiny minimarket, where you can buy bread, cheese, wine, fruit and vegetable so everything you need: ) Pedro is warm hearted host. We had conversations where he spoke spanish and we english, and we could understand each other very good: ) I warmly recommend this accomodation! We felt weocome.
Cons: I liked everyhting, there was nothing to complain.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The enviroment is fantastic. The stars were really nice from the terrace. Our host, Pedro was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is nice, komfortable and big, really enjoyable, especially the breakfast on the terrace. We liked it very much. My favorite place.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Masca is a very nice little town, accessed on a very steep and winding narrow road. As parking is difficult at daytime, the private parking is a huge advantage. The apartment is not on the main road and thus traffic doesn't bother you. The views from the spacious terrace are simply breathtaking! You look down into the gorge and up to the mountains. The apartment itself has a well equipped kitchen and is well maintained. Finally, the host is very nice and even provided a bottle of spanish vino tinto!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Glorious place to stay. Spectacular setting and views, peaceful location. Veranda was lovely to have on a winter evening. Well equipped kitchen. Buy food in advance. Lots of local restaurants, for the many day trippers but in January last serving is 17.30 and everything is shut by 19.00. there is a mini mini market, but it's a good drive along twisty roads to the nearest decent shop. Beautiful walking country ( lots of ups and downs). Helpful host.
Cons: The lighting was poor. Lights very white and glaring, some more side lights might help.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rest.
Cons: The bed and the pillow was very firm.

Pros: Antonella and Matteo made our stay feel really good. They are super friendly and helpfull. The interior of whole house is really lovely put together. Also there is a nice and big Terrace with a jacuzzi. For Breakfast there is everything you can ask for. The town Tamaimo is very cozy and away of touristic paths even though all places are not too far away. Special recommendation for the Italian Restaurant “bella tamaimo“ 3 minutes walk away from La Regina.

Pros: Antonella and Matteo are fantastic hosts, always so friendly and keen to help. They do everything to make it a lovely place to stay. Pros: It's an incredible place, owned and run by a lovely Italian couple that made us feel guests! The place is in a quiet area of the island perfect for a relaxing break and the jacuzzi outside is that extra that make your experience even better! The rooms are comfortable and full of comforts, if you need something they have for sure though about it! They put their personal touch in the B&B and you can see and feel it since the moment you walk the door! I absolutely recommend this place!!

Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the room, cleanliness and view. Breakfast was good, large choice. Loved open bar hour! Relaxing by pool. Tea/coffee, pastries etc available all day. Staff friendly and helpful.
Cons: Bad smell from drain in and around pool and in reception area at times. Prices in hotel restaurants a little expensive as good choice of quality restaurants nearby, if were more competitive would encourage people to eat there more.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accomodation was very lush. We thoroughly enjoyed everything that red level had to offer, including the butler preparing a jacuzzi, Clarins products, water ritual and the wonderful happy hour at 6PM.
Cons: The food wasn't as nice as I would have expected. We even had a bit of plastic in one of our desserts. Eventhough we were full board, many of the meals required us to pay a supplement on top.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else
Cons: Maybe better lights in the rooms

Pros: Excellent accommodation, and very clean. All staff happy and helpful.
Cons: Shop opening hours were basic, and no fresh bread in the mornings! Bar area had quiz three times a week. Couldn't lie by the pool once that got into full flow, much to loud! Great for the older generation fancying bingo
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It is a very nice "little" complex, I think around 40 to 50 houses. The houses are very spacious, clean en very well equipped. Nice sunbeds, clean good showers, and a full kitchen. The common area is neat, relaxing pool and there is always a sunbed free for you! The bar is perfect, broad range of drinks and very affordable. The food is also good. But the view from the pool is fantastic, the Los Gigantes in the background are magnificent. Plus a big supermarket LIDL is at walking distance.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: We had a beautiful room with great ocean view and lots of light.
Cons: It is a beautiful property i would have liked a few more things for younger children maybe a few more water toys in the baby pool a little slide perhaps.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Staff were excellent and very helpful. Hospitality and friendly . I would like to comment on an amazing staff Ms. Yaiza was the star of our stay. The Abama Ritz-Carlton is lucky to have her and I would be happy to find her in my next visit.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotell. Good room. Good restaurant - Txoko with caring staff.
Cons: The checkin process was not good. We cane there at 15:00, which is the normal check-in time. We had to wait two hours to get access to the room. The staff at the desk has been «educated» in american hotel- hospitalty, which implies smile and kind words and total lack of flexibiliry
7.9 Good
Pros: friendly helpful staff, food, kids camp next to golf course
Cons: weather, hotel feels dated and is not a thing of beauty
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Set up is very well suited to families. Staff are very friendly and on the whole eager to please. Lots of choice of pools, sea, or other activities for little ones. On the food front, breakfast is huge and the meals in restaurants are all very good quality.
Cons: The few staff that aren’t up to scratch stand out like sore thumbs. While the food is great, it’s not easy to get it. Restaurant reservations are like gold dust and the lady manning those reservations is the worst experience of the hotel. Food comes at a premium. The hotel needs to find the balance. Expect to pay more than London Michelin star prices night after night, even though it will be a nice bowl of pasta your 3-year old will enjoy. EUR20 for 4 ice creams by the pool is over the top.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable and everything we needed was provided . The staff are so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Eduardo in the dining room was wonderful and so welcoming.
Cons: The dinner menu in the evening could be more varied particularly the table d’hote menu. Some dishes were very good eg paella but others were not so good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great. An excellent choice available. The restaurant provided good, hearty meals.
Cons: Nothing, would love to stay again.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff were welcoming and friendly
Cons: We booked at this hotel so that we could go horse riding but this was not available for either day of our stay and we were not informed in advance that it wouldn't be available. Ground floor room is noisy if you have someone above you, you can hear everything. It's not recommended to take half board, the dinner wasn't particularly good. At breakfast you need to order the cooked eggs from a hotel staff member, but there wasn't anyone available to order from. I saw one guest enter the kitchen to find someone and place their order! We didn't use the spa facilities as it seems overpriced at 50 eur per hour per person.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Our second vacation at Gran Melia was great. The breakfast was varied and tasty. The lunch - it better to have a lunch in one of other restorations that Panegia.
Cons: To clean better
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The resort exceeded our expectations by far. We had the all-inclusive experience which truely was all-inclusive. The large room, joyful staff, different restaurants, tasty breakfast buffet, possibility to rent a car, spacious gym and large swimming pool made our stay one to never forget. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a trip to Tenerife.
Cons: Nothing.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location is great, facilities are very good. English sport instructors are wonderful.
Cons: Poor management. Not competent in problem solving. Not qualified guest service. We left with the feeling that Melia group is loosing and is not keeping its high quality service standards. I used to love and choose Melia group hotels in each country but this time it was a frustration.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: staff. very present. very friendly. most speak good English. hard working even in very early hours and in very hot weather. hope they are well paid they deserve it. especially during the electricity cut who lasted almost a day they kept smiling and I think had to work even harder to get the guests dinner ready as if nothing has happened. Im very impressed!
Cons: we could have stayed one week more!

7.1 Good
Pros: The location was amazing, as it had the best view over the sea.
Cons: On arrival, at 1130pm, we found that the lights in the room did not work. As the kids were tired we decided to use our phone lights, and let the engineer sort the issue in the morning.
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice touches with wine and card for my sons birthday, cleaning staff were lovely and very helpfull.rooms were very nice simple and lean
Cons: Food although varied was often lacking in taste.i was charged 5€ to play a game of pool ! . Children's entertainment was poor to non existent! Return transfer did not turn up and another was ordered leaving us in a rush at the airport.. Should of been so much better.
10.0 Excellent

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely tranquil hotel spacious room, bathroom and private terrace with lovely views to the sea Staff are so lovely and helpful Lovely pool area really peaceful
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The quirkiness of the location The view from the room patio The fresh breakfast esp the juice each day The size of the room Fresh bananas to pick at your leisure
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The fresh fruit was nice and the juice was freshly squeezed but the hot breakfast was very poor.
Cons: The shower worked badly bu the biggest problem was there was no air conditioning in the room so we had to leave the door to the fields open all night. I have a slight allergy to dust but I seem to have a strong allergy to whatever was in the banana field because I was sneezing all night until I took a double dose of allergy tablets and then I stopped sneezing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Quiet rural location, friendly staff, rooms really well cleaned every day, quiet pool area
6.0 Good
Pros: The apartment was very good, beds comfortable, good bathroom, good terrace, but sunshades needed on the Terrace
Cons: The breakfast was a shambles. Served 8 to 10 am. Arrived at 9,30. there were a few leftovers on the cold buffet. The hot buffet, there was only one egg, scraps of bacon, few oddments of mushrooms, The other guests approx. 12, must have filled their plates, or the hotel did not provide much. The kitchen staff did provided two fried eggs on two small plates and nothing else. The Milk jug for the coffee was empty and had to go to the kitchen to get it filled up. All in All Very poor considering the cost of our stay, very poor value for money. Also woken at night by Heavy slamming of doors approx. 10 times at 12.20 and twice further at approx. 1 am from apartment 9, we were in apartment 8. With the very poor breakfast encountered we ate in Alcala at night. We booked for two nights but only stopped for 1 night. A nice hotel but spoilt by our experience of Breakfast and loud noise at night. Would not book again.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location within banana plantation and gardens, with many interesting subtropical fruit trees.
Cons: The hot food options at breakfast need to be kept covered so they don't go unpleasantly dry.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. El Navio is a very tranquil, unique place. The rooms have a wonderful view over the plantation, extending to the sea. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner (18 euros for a 3 course meal including wine) and we would recommend the walk through the plantation to the beach. The staff are friendly and the fresh bananas amazing.
Cons: This is a great place and I could only find a few details which could make the rooms a bit more comfortable. Perhaps a stronger extractor fan in the bathroom would have been helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quietness is total. Perfect place for staying in a relaxed environment. Room was quite nice, and the terrace was big and nice. The swimming pool was quite nice, but nearby natural pools were also very nice to visit. Breakfast was excellent, not a lot of things to choose, but very good quality. Free platains at entrance :).
Cons: Its impotant to be able to use a car. Nearby places can be accesed by foot, but when it gets dark its not that easy. That is not a problem in Tenerife, as rentals are cheap, so this is not a real issue. Dinner was a little early for Spanish standards, but probably ok for the rest of Europe.
Be Live Experience Playa La Arena - Puerto de Santiago - Building

8.8 Excellent (2,870 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Be Live Experience Playa La Arena in Santiago del Teide, you'll be near the beach, within a 5-minute drive of Oasis Los Gigantes Public Pool and Los Gigantes Marina. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: 100% cleanliness, great room size, plenty of storage, pillow menu (dream!) lovely balcony, Bluetooth sound system and fantastic sea view, friendly and accommodating staff, adults only is totally worth the splurge especially because of premium drinks and VIP pool area away from all the noise of family pools and 1st class service, especially Maria who couldn’t have done more to make our stay the 5* experience we were looking for, bringing cocktails and snacks to your bed whilst your tanning, heaven! She really took the time to remember any special requests and it was always service with a smile, you really noticed when she wasn’t in the adults only pool area. Big complex with variety of chill out areas and something for everyone. From relaxing piano music to Lively family entertainment there is always something to do in the evening. Despite reading several unsatisfactory reviews about the food the breakfasts, lunches and the snack bars were great! Dinner wasn’t amazing, wouldn’t bother with Mylos restaurant but Mexican night is not to be missed on a Friday, delicious. Great location to go for two lovely coastal walks one to Los Gigantes (bit more hilly) and the other to Alcala - a lot more flat and 3 natural pools and lovely quiet little beaches along the coast so don’t forget to take your swimming stuff to go for a dip, also a short bus journey to Costa Adeje. Plenty of day trip options available didn’t try them out this time but definitely will do next time. Will 100% be back in the future for an adults only luxury getaway.
Cons: Everything was perfect, exceeded expectations, however was slightly disappointed to find standard basic wall hotel hairdryer in a superior room bathroom. Would be the final touch to have at least the option to rent a more powerful one from reception. Long, thick haired girls beware you’ll have to air dry!
4.2 Okay
Pros: Nothing. Moved out to another hotel within same pricing level after first night. And that was the best decision made during holiday!
Cons: Matrases on beds. Uncomfortable, not up to 4 star hotel standards. Matrases on frames with wheels, and only forward wheels having brakes that you can engage - so your bed (if sleeping with partner) - it's moving ! Glases for drinks in 4 star hotel - reusable plastic glases ... Nothing against environment, but cleanings of those glases was questionable. Beach towels available from 10.30 to 11.30 am... If I had checked in at 16.00? Staff recommended to wait until next day.. And finaly - unrestricted smoking in pool zone. I'm smoker, used to smoke in designated areas, but in this hotel - could not escape smoke coming from every side. Food. Nothing great, nothing special, cafeteria level food. Review is subjective, based on my experience. I hope you experience with this hotel will be better.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely sea views and very attractive, dramatic reception area.
Cons: High ceilings made the building very noisy, especially the dining room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Property was very clean throughout, great staff everyone was really friendly, lovely pool, great facilities. Room was bright, fresh, modern and well equipped. Hotel right next to a nice black sand beach and couple of local bars/restaurants. Food and drinks served all day poolside which is more than at other all inclusive resorts I have stayed in. Nice gym overlooking the sea and gorgeous view and very well equipped. Entertainment: piano bar most evenings was lovely. Animation team were really enthusiastic and energetic. Yoga/Pilates classes every morning were a nice touch. Some of the evening/post dinner entertainment could have been a little better... In particular we were really impressed with the food in the restaurant - loads of fresh, interesting and healthy options at lunch and dinner every day including great local cuisine dishes. Mexican night was really good as well, really authentic and more than just the normal fajitas and nachos! Would definitely recommend and return!
Cons: After booking we saw lots of reviews about the “adults club” (25 Euro per day per person upgrade!!) which gives you access to the infinity pool and poolside area, premium drinks, and a nicer eating area in the restaurant. We were a bit miffed as we hadn’t been aware of this at the time of booking on booking.com and most of the photos on booking.com are of those exclusive areas which felt quite misleading. Having said that once we got there - the hotel, food, pool were nice enough that we didn’t feel the need to be in the “adults club” anyway!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff at the reception Clean room with plenty of storage space and large balcony with swimsuit dryer Nice swimming pools No problem with free parking
Cons: Poor quality of fresh fruits Poor quality of evening entertainment
9.6 Excellent
Pros: fab buffet amazing staff beautiful hotel all round highly recommended for families . reception area is wonderful .looks beautiful and I especially love the pianist and bands that played there in the evening
Cons: their was an issue with a soiled seat in the arcade that I feel could have been dealt with better . the staff that was notified left it until it dirtied another child and it was faeces . but all other staff encountered went above and beyond especially the restaurant staff .

Pros: All of the staff were very helpful & extremely friendly The villa was very clean and tidy, with large rooms, a nice balcony and a well equipped kitchen.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice pool and bar, bottle of wine kindly offered.
Cons: I clearly didn't appreciate sleeping on the floor.. the bed was broken and by the time i went to bed to realize it the reception was closed.. so I had to sleep on the floor for real. When I told them the next morning.. "ok" and that was it. Nothing to wash the dishes
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean good location, facilities and views
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, anything you could ever need in the kitchen. Apartment was ready early, the staff were super friendly and the pool was fab. Lidl and another supermarket right outside. The location is more relaxed then the main tourist spots around playa de las Américas. Bus stop right outside as well with about a 1 hour journey to Costa Adeje and about 1.5hrs to the airport on the public bus. Overall I would stay again.
Cons: My apartment was very dark and facing a wall. No views!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a duplex 1 bed apartment. It was extremely clean. Had all the mod cons you'll need. We were lucky to have an amazing view although I think that was lucky as some apartments may not have a similar view. Pool was fantastic... nice and warm. Pool bar nice too. The check in was great all staff are very friendly an accommodating. They took care of us and are really good at what they do. We shall definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely stay...Oh last but not least if you check out early and your flight is later you can use the pool all day and they even have a changing room and super nice showers you can use... perfect...
Cons: Nothing our stay was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Next year - again
Cons: We did not stay long enough ..

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely setting, warm and welcoming staff, clean spacious apartment.
Cons: Pool bar music very loud during the day, it was nice to have it but not that loud you couldn’t hear people talking to you at the bar tables. Guys that run it are very nice although it wasn’t that well supported which is a shame, perhaps there should be more choice of snacks?!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: View is beautiful staff are very friendly and helpful.
Cons: New towels and bigger sheets.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff as usual, friendly faces, nothing too much trouble.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Hotel was close to town centre. Cross the road Lidl
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was very good but we thought the pool area let it down.
Cons: The pool was too near to the road not a very good view.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: As we where traveling with kids, heated pools and toys was great bonus to be able to stay at pool area all day long. And washing machine in the apartment was amazing. Supermarket was just across the street. And we had room with sea view and it was breathtaking!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent apartment, has everything we needed. Whole complex is really clean, and the pools were perfect. Staff is super nice and helpful. Markets are right next to the complex so that's also great. Would definitely go there again.
Cons: Beds were a bit hard. Mattresses need an update.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It's basic but clean and comfortable. Could do with some upgrading especially paint work and towels but we wanted something cheap and cheerful as we were visiting friends and family and not spending a great deal of time at the hotel or using the facilities.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We were very pleased with the friendly staff. The ocean view from 3rd floor balcony was super. In clear weather, La Gomera and La Palma were seen. And of course the pool area was nice and the water was heated. Lidl and Super Dino markets were 100 meters away.
Cons: We had problems with the cockroaches in the kitchen. Across the road music evenings were a bit loud.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: amazing view from room and the location of swimming pool room good adapted for person on wheelchair very nice food
Cons: paying for water at supper!!!! if you don't have car there is nothing to do around
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome view from the room/pool/restaurant. Friendly staff, good food, clean and modern room. First few nights we had the room with hottub on the balcony, which was great! The room with hottub is a bit more luxurious than the one with seaview, but the one with seaview is still very good. Ask for a room on a high floor to get the best seaview :) The hotel is in walking distance of Los Gigantes and Puerto Santiago (which are no party places like down south bit still cozy). We had half board and you can swap dinner for lunch if you like. The staff in the restaurant is super fast, efficient and friendly. We also had lunch at the restaurant cappucino Maria next to the hotel which is really good!
Cons: The mattress could be improved. We could feel the springs. Also, as a couple, we would have liked a double bed instead of two single beds put together. And a small table on the balcony would be nice.
7.0 Good
Pros: Wonderful views
Cons: Check-in far too slow
9.0 Excellent
Pros: - Food was amazing! - Very comfortable, clean room - Friendly, helpful staff - Location is pretty stunning. Views from all parts of the 6th floor of the hotel (with the pool and restaurants) are absolutely beautiful
Cons: The WiFi was sometimes a bit unreliable
7.0 Good
Pros: The location & the ease to sunbathe
Cons: The running around for towels, safe keys & the parking difficulties
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good und with a great variety. The stuff at the restaurant and bar was very friendly, kind and quick. Amazing view and clean room.
Cons: Depending on the shift the stuff at the reception, wasn't very friendly and willing to assist. The cold dishes at the restaurant buffet were atracking many flies.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The pool area and activities are nice and the location of the hotel is very good. Food was also good although very repetitive for 6 days.
Cons: With a few exceptions, staff in the hotel did not care about the guests. We made several complaints about our room; the A/C was leaking making a loud noise during the night but even worse, the sink in the bathroom was leaking really badly covering the whole room with an awful sewage smell. I was 6 months pregnant and literally could not stay in the room because of the bad odour. After reporting the issue 4 times in one day, they finally sent a maintenance guy to the room at 9pm and he fixed the problem. Still, they should have offered us another room or compensation which they did not.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel itself and setting was beautiful , room lovely and clean and staff excellent
Cons: I was in a side room with music banging out until 4 am most nights from across the road in Route 66 bar and the discotheque next door . The staff did move me father away but it made little difference . I would definitely visit again but book a sea view room which is at the front sway from any bands playing .

Cons: Food although varied was often lacking in taste.i was charged 5€ to play a game of pool ! . Children's entertainment was poor to non existent! Return transfer did not turn up and another was ordered leaving us in a rush at the airport.. Should of been so much better.

Pros: Great views of Los Gigantes cliffs and the seafront. Stunning sundowner views. Great hotel for families with young children. The apartment is spacious, nicely furnished, clean and practical. Super handy to have a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. Complimentary drinks, two bottles of water and use of beach towels. Friendly and helpful reception staff. The pool is area was clean/organised. There's a small playroom for the kids.
Cons: We had a few rowdy families using the pool until quite late at night (10:30-11pm), however once they left things went back to normal.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Spotless place food brilliant pool area lovely
Cons: It advertised 250 metres from beach never said it was as the crow flies. I'm no crow. It was half hour walk. Coming back from beach was uphill. Not suitable if your not fit.

7.1 Good
Pros: Location is perfect for our needs. The apartments are basic but clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Have stayed here on several occasions now.
Cons: Facilities are a bit lacking. No kettle or microwave for example. And only enough towels and pillows for 4 when apartment sleeps up to 6. There were five of us and by the time we realised there wasn’t enough the reception was unmanned.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location next to beach. Free parking 2 min walk. Nice to have own kitchen.
Cons: Above a loud bar/restaurant. Cleaning in the evening. No fan or AC (pretty hot down there!).

6.7 Good
Pros: The location is great and the staf is friendly
Cons: Noisy room at 1st floor
7.5 Good
Pros: Total localisation is very good, you are just beside the beach and the bay. Close to whale watching tours if you like. Although the contact with personnel was great - I was mailing them a lot to get information and always got response.
Cons: Wifi is only in shared part of hotel, is our times that could be disappointing especially for tourists. We had room with windows coming out on the street so it was loud evening/morning. Be careful when coming by car as there is no parking near!!
