10.0 Excellent
Pros: Personal touch from Marion. Very comfortable and clean. Felt like home from home.
Cons: Nothing. All very good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house is like a home from home. Warm and comfortable. Marian is a wonderful host, friendly but also happy to leave you to relax. Breakfast was really great- I had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon with toast, a choice of preserves, juice and coffee- more than enough to set me up for the day. The house is really easy to find and a few minutes walk from the main thoroughfare. Lots of parking. A great place to stay as a solo female traveller. I learnt that if I had to cancel my room at a late stage, booking.com would receive a cancellation fee but none of this would go to the accommodation owner to compensate for non arrival. I think this is unfair and should be looked into.
Cons: Nothing.

The Three Arches - Louisburgh - Building

9.1 Excellent (103 reviews)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Thanks Mary for having me.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Mary and Pat were brilliant hosts , lovely breakfast, cleanliness 5 stars
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Three Arches is in a quite location about 3 miles from Louisburgh, which, in turn, is about 20 minutes west of Westport. It has a great view across the hills and is peaceful and quiet. Mary is the most welcoming of hosts and her husband Pat is a great character with a wealth of stories and information about the local area. If you get a chance, sample Mary's homemade fruit cake (to die for) and her homemade wheaten loaf (amazing). Breakfast was excellent with a choice of cereals, juice and yoghurt as well as a breakfast cooked fresh to order. Some rooms have en suite and some use a separate bathroom but this was not a problem at all. There is a common sitting room with comfortable chairs and free WiFi. Louisburgh, which is 10 minutes away, has three very good restaurants and eating places so there is no need to go to Westford for evening meals, so the Three Arches is all very conveniently located. For true Irish hospitality you will not find better. I am very happy to strongly recommend the Three Arches. We will certainly be planning to stay here again.
Cons: Everything was really good.

Cons: Absolutely nothing to dislike

Motorbike touring folk are more than welcome at this property and if you ate planning to visit Clare Island then you are 2mins from the ferry. Cons: There is nothing to dislike about this property!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host welcomed us in and sat us down with some tea and scones as soon as we arrived—in spite of the fact that she was, at that moment, also hosting a family dinner for her children who were visiting from out of country! The host was extremely warm and amiable. The place itself is in an extremely beautiful location, looking out directly onto Clew Bay, and with Croagh Patrick looming up right behind it. Also: the breakfast prepared by the host was very generous! Too generous for us, in fact, but all was well because the host then volunteered to turn the leftovers into sandwiches for us on the road! What a nice and thoughtful touch.
