Pros: great location easy to walk into town, nice to chill out in there lovely garden the host made us feel very welcome even though we dont speak french he did his best to speak English and gave us some good location to go and see
Pros: The Maison is a beautifully updated old stone house. The grounds are nicely cared for and offer a very pleasant place to sit and relax. The inside if the house is classic and very nice. The room I was in was very spacious, modern bathroom fixtures, large comfortable queen bed, and other nice furnishings. The location was also very nice, on a quiet side street a few blocks from the center Ville. And the hosts were very friendly and gracious.
Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like.
Pros: Stylish, comfortable, immaculately clean, quiet location with a pleasant courtyard and just a short walk from the centre of town.
Pros: Very friendly owners made our stay very special. The rooms are lovely, clean and spacious and the breakfast excellent.
Pros: Fantastic family room(s) and breakfast, very friendly and felt like a boutique hotel, we were very sorry we were only staying for the 1 night!
Pros: Everything. Quality of the design. Nice welcome.
Pros: Spacious and extremely well furnished. French breakfast with local specialities that was excellent, as was the hospitality. As a family of four we had two bedrooms and a sitting area with games, an en-suite washroom and a large luxurious bathroom with twin basins and walk in shower. Secure private parking for vehicles up to 2m. A lovely start to our holiday in France.
Pros: Lovely, charming hotel. The room was beautifully appointed and spotless. The location is really super, right in the centre of this quaint and historic town. Views from the windows were delightful, particularly across to the cathedral. Breakfast outside in the garden was excellent. The hosts were very pleasant.
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like.
Pros: Excellent, on holiday for 2 1/2 weeks.... The best accommodation by far. The photos/reviews do not do it justice. Everything rates a 10 from the 5*bathroom to the magnificent breakfast including bowls of delicious fresh fruit salad
Cons: Nothing to add

Pros: The room was huuuuuge!!! And the bed even more! And the whole place is awesome! My French is horrible, but still we managed to communicate with no problem. Unfortunately I was there only one night on the way back to UK, but the place definitely deserves more time.
Pros: Helpful owners. Very good value for money. Spacious room and well heated.
Cons: I need a window open at night and there’s a lot of noise from traffic. However, if you don’t open the window, the double glazing is very good.

Cons: The bed sheets smelled of cigarettes. No shampoo.
Pros: Beautiful house and garden, large room and relaxation area huge bed.

Pros: Very friendly staff, great atmosphere, lovely garden. We would definitely recommend this place. The dinner at la claverie was lovely, if you visit the place, you should definitely do this. They speak English very well! They gave us great tips for the area.
Cons: You need a car to visit the place. It wasn’t a problem for us though.
Pros: The perfect place !
Pros: The hosts. The room. The food
Pros: Marie and Philippe are great hosts who go out of their way to make their guests feel at home. Beautiful garden, nice spacious rooms and a wonderful breakfast.

When you stay at Château de l Abbaye de Moreilles in Moreilles, you'll be in a regional park and steps from Marais Poitevin Regional Nature Park. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Poor smell in hall and stairs, decor is too busy, untidy, nothing in the village, expensive meals, disappointed.
Pros: Stunning hotel and service. Dinner was exceptional!
Pros: The gardens and hotel were very interesting
Cons: The regime is a valid one and relaxing but I prefer formality. It was fine that all tables were called to eat a prescribed meal at 9pm but I may have preferred to eat at 8pm and certainly expected someone visible to serve me with a gin and tonic rather than have to knock on kitchen door. The breakfast, not available until 9am , was certainly superb. The family hosts were charming and eager to make ones stay a good experience , but I simply prefer a slicker operation which quite consciously they are not seeking to provide.
Pros: I loved the manoir and the room that we were in. It was so charming and lovely and our room even had a little room off of the main room that was a reading nook. I highly recommend doing the candlelight dinner. It was the best part!
Pros: Beautiful property, grounds, location and furnishings. Very kind and friendly staff. Amazing food sourced locally and cooked supremely well. A very special place.
Cons: The evening meal was fabulous but could have been a bit better value.
Pros: The evning meal in the restaurant was much more than you would expect. Excellent. Breakfsst was also very good. Lovely garden. Heartly welcome.
Cons: Notting negative from my point of view but maybe some preinfo re code of entrance gate.
Pros: Wow, this place is amazing. Its amazing, beautifully kept and the family service is excellent and the food exceptional. easily the best duck I have ever tasted
Pros: Spacious rooms with good beds, very friendly owners and good service. Quiet rooms
Cons: Leaking plumbing in the bathroom (no fault of the hotel), restaurant on the expensive side to eat with small children
Pros: The evening meal was very good and very tasty, but it was very expensive for home cooking.
Cons: The breakfast was disappointing. Although the breads, croissants & breakfast pastries were excellent, I expect more than just carbohydrate and sugar in a meal. There was no protein - no meat, no cheese and no egg?
Pros: Loved the rooms especially the bathroom with coloured lights. Our two dinners were beautifully cooked with locally sourced food. They were delicious and served in a gorgeous setting.

Pros: Welcome from genuine hosts and charming young daughter. We arrived earlier than check in time and were allowed in. We ate with other guests in the evening and this was very enjoyable.
Cons: The breakfast was very basic and quite limited. Eating at a communal table there were so many croissants, bread etc on the table, so my husband, who is always one to "stand back" ended up having not much. Better idea perhaps to place a basket of breads etc in front of each person/couple and that is yours. Would have liked to have had coffee pot on table, but small grouse compared with wonderful welcome in a beautiful home.

Pros: The house was full of character and tastefully decorated.very friendly patrons who gave us a nice welcome and a very pleasant stay.
Pros: When we arrived it was lovely to find it was the home of two artists with lots of work around the walls. The owners were friendly and flexible in terms of accommodation offering us the gite because they felt it would suit our family better and it was available. We enjoyed a generous and tasty breakfast in the main hotel each morning and took advantage of the pool in the soaring temperatures. Most enjoyable, thank you.
