I liked the atmosphere, facilities and the staff who were most helpful and friendly. I did experience some problems with accessing my room with the card that was provided to me. It often didn't work and this caused me some inconvenience. I would have been much better off with a good old fashioned key! However, the staff made every effort to resolve this problem by upgrading me to a different room with a sea view. I considered this to be outstanding customer service.

Nice spacious room and spacious general areas staff were very obliging. Could not control temperature in room which got very hot. But in fairness that is a problem a lot of older hotels have.
Location was great. Very close to restraunts, parking, the Bournemouth Pier and Bournemouth Park However, if you are looking at the cheaper rooms you be better served by Premier Innnext door. Service was poor at the front desk and breakfast and breakfast whilst adequate was not at the quality I would have expected. Staff were very disjointed; my pregnant wife asked for some decaf-tea for our room and was advised "the bar might have some". Would have expected them to sort it out. Room location was in the back of beyond with stair only access. Cheaper rooms at this hotel not recommended.
Leisure facilities £15 to pay for car parking. No mention of this until we had arrived. Staff could be a little overzealous. We received the bill for our evening meal before we had had our dessert and coffee and our table was cleared while we were getting our cooked breakfast

The breakfast was very delightful, lot of choices and they do cater for vegetairans and those who use soya milk. The spa facilities were good. However, I would say that the hotel needs refurbishment and some area needs modernisation. Being told that we are limited to one towel each by one particular member in the spa club. This was not the case with other staff members.

It was a disaster. We could not stay. We were given a room next to their waste hold area. The window would not open because all the rubbish bins were just outside. The room was tight and horrible. We left immediately. See our comments of 'what we liked'. Terrible hotel. Needs total modernisation, as location is good. Need new staff, training, etc. avoid staying there at all costs!
The hotel was very comfortable. The service in the restaurant for breakfast was not good.
The buffet breakfast was superb, especially the honeycomb. Im the first room we were given the central heating was not wotking and we had to move to another room, but nobody came to help us with our luggage and we had to carry it all ourselves - not what one expects from a 4-star hotel especially as my wife and I are in our late seventies
All staff were extremely efficient and good-tempered and obliging. The restaurant meal was great. Food served in the bar was excellent. Absolutely no complaints.

Excellent Location. Quiet Setting. Lovelly Gardens. Good walking straight into the New Forest within a few hundred yards of the hotel. Excellent restaurant & cuisine. Some of the decor was in need of refurbishment. Unfortunately,the room ( a "Superior Room") that we were given was directly over the kitchen area & it was noisy until late at night & also very early in the morning. I would recommend guests to enquire about this aspect before making a booking.

Spacious room, friendly staff
The Hotel service was very efficient. the pool and sauna were ok. the Passford House Hotel is a little on the tired side. the rooms were starting to show signs of wear and tear and the televisionoin ourt room and the decor looked like something from the Ark. The changing rooms for the sauna and pool needed a good refresh and refurbishment as lockers were rusty and dented and teh changing suites were rather ostere. The worst part of the stay was the food with a rather formulaic menu of what can only be described as institutional mass catering, Food was balnd, unimaginative and teh breakfast was cold and eggs not cooked properly, It turned out that the night porter was also the chef. For the money we paid this was very disappointing. i will not be going back or recommending the Passford House Hotel.

quiet and peaceful. plenty of space to walk. outdoor pool closed. which we knew but no outddor lounge chairs and staff refused to allow lounge chairs from around theoutdoor pool to be moved.
The bedroom was spacious, well-equipped, pleasantly decorated and very comfortable.Excellent value for money. Conveniently situated for the IOW ferry terminal. I had no dislikes, it was wonderful.
The leisure facilities the indoor swimming pool, sauna, and gym My parents had a timeshare there in the late 80's early 90's and the restaurant (Sails) the one in the leisure place had know atmosphere and its still the same I don't know if that's because of the prices or other things. We went to a local pub but would have loved to stayed at Elmers court but it didn't grab us.

The pool was great and the grounds are nice to walk. The gardens and the bar have been improved greatly since me last visit at the hotel and that makes a big difference. The hotel members who use the pool are very rude and they should take note that the facilities are to be used by guests who stay there and not just them. One lady was very rude to my daughter and I did not appreciate that.
I particularly liked the high standards offered especially the breakfast and free bottle of wine with my booking The chalet rooms had patio doors as the main entrance and you felt a bit esposed to people walking by.

Good food, pretty surroudings
Our room was very spacious, and had a nice view over the gardens. Breakfast was excellent - proper pot of coffee and cups instead of filled mugs. Music on stereo during dinner - old Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby.

Location to Milford on Sea as we were house hunting in the area The coffee- they need to learn to make espresso. The cost of the room was way overpriced for the quality provided.
Hotel was in pleasant surroundings, rooms were well furnished if a little tired. Staff seemed under pressure, we had dinner and wine was not opened for us there were knives missing. When spending £80 on a meal for two more services was expected. Also we had been given what was called a superior room but bathroom was in a time warp, suite was AVACADO

Excellent location for wandering around the small town of Lymington (independent shops, big Saturday market), a few mins' walk from the quay-side and harbour and a short drive from the gorgeous New Forest. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Enjoyed the Sea Food Restaurant. The rooms vary (and the ones at the top are not particularly accessible for elderly/reduced mobility) and the smaller/cheaper ones are a little over-priced. Unfortunately, there are not many comparable hotels in the area so its the price you pay for the great location, which compensates. Parking is a pain - the private car park gets full quickly and you end up having to feed the meter in the public area - not expensive, but inconvenient. Again, its the price you pay for the town centre location and for me, it did not detract from the stay. But again, the elderly or infirm should note this.
The staff were all excellent, very friendly and helpful. The double room was small, but was ok for short stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful, food excellent, and it was situated very close to the Town Quay from which we were going to sail. Because we arrived late for dinner the waiter did not notice us and we had to wait to order. However they were very apologetic and looked after us well.

The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent There was a minor problem with the heating in our room (and I think in the hotel in general) upon arrival but this was sorted out quickly - maybe the housekeeper or staff should have noticed as the day was very cold!

I found it very comforting to stay there while my brother was ill. It was a welcoming and beautiful place for me to rest. It really helped me get through a difficult time. Room one had extremely rusty water when I arrived which I could not get rid of. We did not have this problem in room 2 when I returned with my family.

Decor very very tired (corridors & bathroom) It was a typical old fashioned "seaside" hotel... the bathroom hasn't been changed since the 70's (nasty pink suite) and had a mouldy/damp smell. The room also felt extremely draughty and cold, despite the heating being on! The staff were friendly enough though. So to sum up, it is OK for one night.
This hotel offered free WIFI & Parking, and the room only cost £32! The receptionist was very helpful and friendly and I got a free room upgrade. The food in the diner was very good and well priced. Can't really work out why people were moaning, the price is fantastic and everywhere is very clean. Yes, the hotel is a bit dated but its comfortable and the cheapest around so well worth it for a short break. everyone stop moaning and pay more if you expect 5 star services At best, the floorboards outside my room were a bit creaky and there was no blind in the bathroom, which didn't particularly bother me

the pool and sauna .breakfast the room was an insult ,bathroom outdated and very dirty shower unfit to use . plugs loose on walls wallpaper a disgrace ,torn and dirty.
The staff and the breakfast were superb. The bedroom smelt, believe it emminated from the mattress. Arrived late too tired not until next day the smell had ingressed into clothing. Decor poor and needs complete refurbishment.
we found the location ideal for the shops and theatre.The breakfast was very good and the staff very polite and friendly. creaky floorboards and the housekeeping staff started vacumming at 8.30 in the room upstairs. Also building work taking place although this was probably reflected in the price we paid.
Welcoming staff for English speakers but noticed lack of skill at reception for foreigners ie rapid, complex sentences, given once, no body language or reference to local town map etc. I saw two foreigners bemused despite being given instructions which only I could just follow. A little bit ot raining might help! Just a friendly observation - not meaning to be too critical!
