Pros: I rarely write reviews...but now I would like to do it. We had the most incredible holidays! Many thanks for the hospitality and welcome. The rooms beach and private access to the water makes it a place that is ideal for spending the whole day if you wish. We were lucky enough to have the BEST staff who made our stay a truly 5 star experience, they did so much for us in a personal and professional manner and definitely added to the overall feeling of being a special occasion every day!! Staying at @theresidencemaldives was a dream come true. The resort is so beautiful, even at full capacity there is a real sense of privacy and we had the beaches pretty much all to ourselves! The staff are all amazing with a great smile and a big heart. As for the activities we enjoyed the most fantastic spa massage (recommended) and also hired a kayak and SUP to find dolphins which was amazing. There is plenty to keep you happy if you enjoy activities, the bicycles are also a fun to get around on! Overall we are extremely picky and cannot fault one thing from our stay ! It was impeccable paradise !!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was helpful, polite and helped us in every way possible!!! The food was amazing!!!
Cons: There are no sandy beaches, but our water bungalow full filled our every need!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All the villas were very private and nicely furnished. No cars just bicycles which was fantastic riding down these beautiful white sand roads and lovely greenery growing with lighting on at night. Absolute magic. The jet skies were great and kayaks free to use and also snorkeling gear free. Lovely main pool. A beautiful French Restaurant surrounded by sea about 30m from the rim of the atoll which was fantastic. The Tapa and Lunch Bar were a favourite for us. The Spa was beautiful and great staff. A fantastic Resort and definitely not touristy as it is in the south Maldives.
Cons: N/A
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room was beautiful - with own pool. Snorkeling from below our room was stunning. Staff all very friendly. Great food. Excellent spa.
Cons: Would have been nice to have more drink variety in the minibar or an easier way of getting drinks to the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food, facilities, staff
Cons: Having to leave

Pros: The entire staff was incredible! View from the water villa was pretty fantastic too!

Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa - Hadahaa - Building
2
9.4 Excellent (236 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Park Hyatt Maldives, Hadahaa boasts 50 villas set on a pristine tropical island located on the North Huvadhoo Atoll believed to be one of the largest and deepest atolls in the world.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beaches, Food , Villas, Facilities, all. aspects of this hotel are of a very high standard really enjoyed the Bar and all the events and activities on offer.
Cons: There were some ants in the Gym, could be solved with a little ant powder, they really didn't bother me that much.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I very much enjoyed everything on the islands. We would really like to come back to this paradise sometime. Many thanks to all the staff who have made our stay really comfortable.
Cons: The location of the island is a bit far away from Male so check with the hotel to pick a suitable landing and departure time to avoid waiting too long for the domestic flight (which is unfortunately our case).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This island has just 50 villas (although the island is relatively small), which is much less than other resorts on the Maldives. The implication is that each villa has direct ocean access (and almost all villas except nearly 5 have a beach), and the beach is not overcrowded (in fact, we have seen only a few people on the beach). For just 100 guests they have a lot of sunbeds and gazebos, so there's always a place to lay down. They have two public freshwater pools and most of the time nobody is swimming in them. They have an enormous number of employees on the island: about 200 employees for 100 guests. I'd say they have too many employees. The implication is that they do room cleaning twice a day (WAT?) and there is always available waiter in the restaurant. They even have a doctor on the island (my ear was clogged, and surprisingly they didn't charge me for visit). We had a full board, and the food was very good and a very good choice. The island is far for Male but the transfer is organized perfectly. You can rent snorkelling gear or kayak for free (and transparent kayak for just $25). Generally, the island exceeds expectations: it's much better in real life than on photos.
Cons: The internet barely works. A couple of hours each day it doesn't work at all. Obviously, people don't go the island for browsing the nets, but I wanted to work a little. Even if you buy a full board, you still have to pay for drinks (even water). It's not too expensive ($7 for coke or a bottle of fresh water, it's not too much, but still unexpected). The place feels like a financial minefield. E. g. they offered us to have dinner at the beach instead of the cafeteria and charged $200 for the same food we could eat for free. In the end, we have spent only $500 extra, but I guess most guests spend more. Once we ordered a dessert after dinner and asked if we could eat it in the room, and some employee said that we have to eat it in the cafeteria. Likely because they charge extra $30 for a dinner in the room, but it is still mean. I once jumped into the water from the pier (it was high tide and the water was deep and clean), and immediately an employee came and told me that it's prohibited because it's dangerous. For god sake, they have an employee constantly watching the pier, why can't that employee check that people jump where and when it's safe instead of prohibiting.

Pros: The best Hotel I ever stay in Maldives as I visited the country over 20 times.

Cons: My refrigerator wasn’t working in the 2nd room I had.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, top notch staff, simply perfect in all sense. The staff went above and beyond in all respects to accomodate us, couldn't have asked for anything else. The Chef Team - Hashir (Kutty), Kewal and Naveen went out of their way to serve us Vegetarian food. These guys made sure that we get to eat different dishes every day and all of them were so perfect that we would end up asking them for the recipe. Not only that, on our last night Kutty made special arrangements to decorate our table and the food he served was simply out of this world. The team at the Bar - Nalin and Matthew always welcomed us with a smile and served us some of the most amazing drinks we ever had. The room service was managed by Shifaz and he made our stay so comfortable that it felt like home. Sanjeet helped us with last minute changes in our domestic flights and also helped us extend our stay by 2 nights. He was always responsive, prompt to return my emails and willing to do whatever it takes to make our stay comfortable. We also made some good friends Prasad, Senarath and Sandeep. All three of them were so friendly and helpful, they made sure that we had amazing time. The New Year eve was just perfect becuase they decided to give us company. Richard and the Girls at the restaurant were always welcoming and were key to make our dining experience memorable.
7.1 Good
Pros: The sea villa is amazing with direct access to the sea. The bed is extremely comfortable too. For those looking for private swimming pools this is not the best available option. The staff are friendly in general and took care of our internal flights to the island (+ point for the hotel on this )
Cons: 1. The food ! The room service menu is very limited this would have been okay anywhere else in the world but not in The Maldives where you don’t have any other option but to dine in the resort itself! The food in the restaurants wasn’t great as well. I would highly recommend guests to bring along their own snacks because even the mini bar didn’t have anything except drinks. 2. The jet ski was broken and this meant we had very few options for beach activities because most of them required the jet ski. 3.TV and IT service: with many people having Netflix or watching movies online the resort should update their connectivity! We have asked for connection cables but didn’t receive any help. I wouldn’t be picky about this anywhere else but again in the Maldives the night activities are very limited to none.

7.5 Good
Pros: Clean , welcoming stuff . Good food . Easy to get there . The owner is friendly makes his best to ensure great vacation
Cons: No beach (owner took us to the picnic island , as beach on the island was not clean and pleasant) , nothing to do on this island, unless you are ready to do and pay for entertaining activities outside the island On diving center was closed and another one on kooddoo island was fully booked .
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Naz (the manager) is a high-energy, hard-working guy who makes everything run smoothly (and who is also trying to improve his local community). He also makes a great fish curry! My room was large and well-designed and Naz will supply a kettle for making tea and coffee if you ask. The island is friendly - everyone smiles and says “hello”. I joined some local ladies for their version of “aqua aerobics” in the sea... And the Guesthouse restaurant is a good place to meet other people - I made two new friends there as soon as I arrived! And the Mercure resort on Kooddoo is a short boat ride away if you want a beer, a meal or just a change of scene. They welcome non-residents and the service there was outstanding too.
Cons: My room looked out onto/into the restaurant and was a bit dark inside with the windows closed (but this is the way houses there are built to keep cool). I thought the meals were a few dollars more expensive than I would like and I preferred the traditional Maldivian breakfast of tuna and coconut to the “fry up”. Again, a personal preference. The beaches on the island have a lot of garbage on them, but Naz is organizing regular clean-ups - so hopefully this will improve with time and education in the local schools.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: SInce the booking time itself all the queries were very elaborately answered by Anil, he made us relax from that moment itself, then it was just a matter of reaching there at Village life & experiencing it. When we reached Koodoo airport, both Naz & Anil were at the airport to receive us. The boat transfer to village life was smooth & once at village life they made us more comfortable. The calmness of the place, the love & caring of the people in village life is really something different. We felt at HOME all the time we were there. The professional way in which both of them planned our stay was amazing. During our stay We visited picnic island, beach at Maamendhoo, did snorkeling, sunset cruise & watched dolphins without anyone closeby an amazing experience. The feeding for sharks, the jetski experience ( unforgettable experience for our Kid)The islands we visited were just perfect as that gave us good time for ourselves. To top our stay we had amazing meals (variety of fish dishes) prepared by Naz himself. The desserts were just too good for our likings. All the support staff were too understanding & caring, just made us feel Home Away from home. kudos to team Village life.. Naz, Anil, Falah... thanks for all the love you have shown towards us... we r already missing you guys... We will be back soon....
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: I agreed with the manager for the transfer from male to koddoo for 605 usd ( for 2 people and baby less than 2 years) and 50 usd for transfer from koddoo to the hotel but when paying je added 12% of tax which was different from what he said before the reservation
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Room is clean, bed is comfortable. All the basics needed are there. Staff is very nice and try all they can to make us happy. New years eve dinner was great and delicious lobsters were available !! Also, I would like to add that the owner of this place tries to promote awareness to protect environnement and by going to this place you are making a difference in helping towards increasing local island economy and waste cleaning (which is a real issue in the whole Maldives) !!
Cons: Food choice is very restricted and basic. The current beach is a 15/20min walk from the guesthouse. The beach is basic (none of pictures featured)... They are in the process of developing the rest of the island in order to have a clean beach close to the guesthouse. This is a brand new guesthouse, a lot of the description on booking is false and this was very disappointing for us... however, the host made us discover the REAL LOCAL ISLAND LIFE and this was an amazing experience which made up for all the cons discovered when we got there... overall and honestly speaking, most reviews below are not true but it is worth going to discover an amazing local island life ! There is nothing to do on the island and only one beach available for now. All excursions are wonderful but extra to be paid.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: True village life away from the resorts. Great trips with the owner! Perfect place to relax and see the amazing underwater life!
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Room was nice
Cons: Nothing is as described and very expensive and you pay for everything dirty island To full and dirty and absolutely nothing to do or something to buy impossible because there is nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner Naz is an amazing person who will guide you through all natural wonders of Maldives. He is a good cook himself. The whole experience is dream like and you will forget any of your old tough times and get rejuvenated when you are there. I will recommend you to do one activity per day. I had done several of them: 1) Interacting with Dolphins in the ocean. 2) Island hopping. 3) Live fish catch and barbecue in a remote island. 4) Snorkeling to see beautiful marine life. 5) Shark feeding. (please note for each activity the owner charges an amount) The people with him are very friendly and one of the most hospitable people in the world. Maldives is a place for complete relaxation and place where all your past worries melt away into the serene nature. This is something I am looking forward to do every 6 months to 1 year, which I recommend others to do the same. Cheers!!!
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: The room was good. Shower áswel. Owner and staff are friendly but if you asked them something you aren’t getting it.
Cons: Island dirty and full. Piece of nice beach over one km. Food expensive for what you get and same everyday. Very basic 12 $ for one fried egg a little bit of baked beans and some slices of sausage and toast. 15$ for small piece of fish and rice. Overpriced in every way cause you paying for everything boat to get there and on top of whatever you do. For example. One dive from the next door Mercure hotel costs 85$ go and come back 3 minutes by boat 44$ plus taxes 24% is about 162$. And that goes for everything. All the facilities described many are not true or available from the next door resort costing a lot. Bicycles for example weren’t there but where on the list. When I read the reviews from village life I was really impressed and excited but the real thing is completely different overall very expensive and dirty nothing to do island.
