When you stay at Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park, you can practice your swing on the golf course. After having fun at the outdoor pool, you can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. There's a children's pool, and rooms offer balconies or patios and flat-screen TVs.
Cons: Bathtub was filthy, killed several bugs, discovered puke stain on sheets
Cons: Arrived late night and room was not ready and was not as reserved. Reserved 2 queens was told they only had 1 room with 2 Doibles
Pros: Breakfast was good.
Cons: Mold in shower and pumpkin seeds dried on a wall.
Pros: Great price. Staff was very nice. The breakfast was delicious and fresh.
Cons: The room had an odor.
Pros: The rooms were clean and in good condition. The pool was smaller than it looked but still nice.
Cons: The staff was not professional at all. The girl working at the desk was rarely there, always in the back. When she was visible, she was on her phone texting or even making phone calls. She hung out with a friend in the lobby while on duty as well.
Pros: Good location, nice pool, and quiet.
Cons: Staff could be a little bit friendlier and more helpful.
Pros: The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. You felt like you were at home. The breakfast selections were very good and the food was very good. The free coffee and tea all day long was very good as well.
Pros: It was a five star experience for a 2 star price. very affordable for families. As a widow with 2 children and 1 income that means a lot! Thank You!
Cons: We were honestly completely satisfied.
Pros: Clean and very reasonably priced :) Great continental breakfast in the morning! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
Pros: Convenient to restaurants, and gas. Nice shower. Decent bed, and pillows. Very nice continental breakfast!
Pros: Clean room relaxing. Good pool.updated and nice.
Furnishing and decor were terrific. And quiet except for the horn of a distant train or two
Pros: The setting and estate were grand! Shirley (owner) was wonderful. We sat and talked with her for some time about the local area.
Cons: Bath was across the hall, no big deal as there wasn't anyone staying the night we were there. Just recall the description saying the bath was attached
all we thought it would be but no guests
Pros: WOW! Whole house to ourselves.
Pros: Personal touch of the bed and breakfast was incredible.
Cons: Not easy to find.
The house was within walking distance of downtown, had a lovely wrap around front porch with nice outdoor furniture. It was quaint, quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was made to order by the owner, served on her mother's china in the dining room of the home. We were the only guest and made to feel like royalty. Rooms were clean and comfortable with antiques but all the modern conveniences. I would highly recommend and will stay here again.
Pros: We stayed in the Hammack-Moore House in downtown Madisonville. The home was lovely, furnished with antiques and family photos. IT was like stepping back in time. The 'staff' was the owner, Shirley, who treated us like royalty.
Pros: The rooms and the staff was really nice and sweet
Cons: Room smelled really bad
Pros: Rooms were cozy, no loud noises, rest well! You could add a hot meal for breakfast like a buffet style . And an evening snack meal for guest! This is what we experience in other hotels . We travel a lot! Drury Inns have this! We use them a lot!!!
Cons: Could use some updating paint ! More linens in room
Pros: Staff were decent.
Cons: Cleanliness and breakfast
Pros: The staff were great! It had a nice olympic swimming pool to do my laps in! The adjoining chinese buffet restaurant was very good, and had a great selection.
Cons: The floors in the room were linoleum and were installed well, they were dirty, marked up, and very cold.
Pros: The pool is amazing! It is huge! A must visit hotel if you like pools!
Pros: Absolutely nothing. It was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Definitely not worth the money I paid for it.
Pros: The bed was comfortable!
Cons: Just an outdated hotel with rust on the drop ceiling tracks. Wallpaper bubbling up and old everything. The bathtub faucet and the shower curtain mount was very amutuer installed.
Pros: There was not anything to like.
Cons: It was the worst experience I've ever had staying in a hotel. It was nasty, out dated, and smelled really bad. It needs to be taken off the list of hotels you have to offer. The hotel needs a make-over or just close its doors.
Pros: Pool was gigantic! Staff was very helpful and courteous. Outside there were beautiful overflowing pots of flowers.
Cons: Outside doors dirty. Security of outside doors, they were always open, room card entry was not operable. Room was nice but needed repairs.
Cons: I needed a business center. The computer was extremely slow and dowmloading was blocked from my email ( yahoo). Then downloading from my business portal was blocked (Endeavor ESP). I had to forward my data to the receptionist personal yahoo email.
Pros: The rooms were very nice. There was a coffee machine, refrigerator, safe, blow dryer, iron, and ironing board. The breakfast was wonderful with sausage gravy and biscuits, oatmeal, waffles, cold cereal, coffee, juice, and milk.
Cons: Not really a complaint, but if there were smoking rooms available, I was not advised. Was in a non-smoking room.
