As always, very wonderful stay Nothing
Irish pub - drinks and food were great. Pool area was gorgeous! I wish we'd had time to check it out. Bed was not very comfortable - perhaps it's time to replace. Check in desk only had one staff member, and three guests were checking in before us, so we stood for quite awhile waiting to check in.
If you get a chance- definitely get the club room. It give you access to a members only location with fresh coffee and food in the morning, plus appetizers in the evening. It's a great place to relax, watch tv, and get your mind right for the next day. The personnel working in the club room were amazing, especially Lillian! Great hostess; coming by saying hi and seeing if there was anything I needed, making normal casual conversation. The next time I have a choice to pick- I'm picking Sheraton and asking if they have have a similar club room at the location.
The bed was amazingly comfy. Water pressure in shower was poor.
The staff was very friendly I was shocked when they charged for internet access, most places these days offer free internet.
They charge for internet! Who does that?
all was well, we were treated with the utmost respect and courtesy, room was cleaner than clean, good location, comfortable beds
The hotel was beautiful and new. The rooms were large and beds comfortable. The location was great, close to where we needed to be and easy to get in and out of. Breakfast buffet was delicious and the service was excellent. Check in was quick and efficient. Did not get to take advantage of the pool because the weather was rainy but we will come back to this hotel.
The hotel was clean and beautiful; the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was near where, I think, the garbage was collected and it was very loud during the one night. Also, Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby and not in the rooms which was very inconvenient. Almost all other hotels offer Wi-Fi throughout their hotel.
Hotel was clean, great location, breakfast was good and the staff was very polite.
I reserved a room one week before an important business event and received email confirmations through Kayak and Homewood Suites. When I arrived to check in the night before, I learned that the manager had overbooked and had given away my room for the night. No phone call, no email, no warning at all. I have never been more disgusted with a hotel's business practices. I strongly recommend against booking with this hotel if you expect reliability or honesty. Truly disgusting.
The suite was very spacious, comfortable and very nicely furnished. The dinning area was inviting and easy to maneuver. The entire staff, from registration, to buffet bar to housekeeping was friendly, accommodating and always smiling. It was a pleasure to stay here. If the opportunity should arise to return to the Maitland/Orlando area again, I would definitely return to Homewood Suites. Nothing.
The overall size of the rooms are nice. It had a pull out coach, just in case you needed it. The bed was comfortable. The pool was a plus. Nice, quiet, and relaxing for us; just we wanted. The place needs an update, which isn't really a bad thing. Their breakfast was just enough to get you by, nothing special. The place does has its wear and tear, but not to unappealing.
The hotel was cheap. We stayed one night just to get some sleep on a road trip. Want too impressed with the room. Seemed old and falling apart. Bugs crawling on the floor in the bathroom and the pillows seemed like they've been washed too many times.
reservation was not there when I arrived...a man in parking lot tried to rob me, bad place..the hotel smelled, like people were selling crack in the lobby and dong it in the rooms, just horrible..worst hotel ever....
Room was clean and excellent continental breakfast. Nothing specifically.
Nothing! The room was disgusting! The floor was soaking wet from a leak, the bathroom has cracks , mold, and the tub was stained yellow. The breakfast was just as disgusting abs I can't even describe the awfulness of everything. Do not waste your money here.! It should be torn down!
Very relaxing weekend. Amazing pool, spacious room, best BLT ever from room service! Right next to a Walgreens and the mall.
Cheap. Spring break hotel, needs renovation.
The room was very nice. The pool had a water fall (which my kids loved). Management needs to rethink their approach to client satisfaction. My wife had to wait 30 minutes to check in. Only one desk clerk during a busy time of day. Manager walks by and informs the clerk that she is going on break. The clerk asks for help, and the manager just looks around, then walks away. Also, no hot breakfast. Just cereals, bagels, and yogurts.
Continental breakfast was delicious. Room was at the end of the hallway next to the elevator.
the rooms smelled, the water pressure was terrible in the showers. the carpet was really gross,
Price and location. The need to upgrade facility's. Also need to upgrade television sets.
It still has it's old Howard Johnson sign and internet, nothing identified it as the Altamonte Suites. Common areas dirty. The pool not clean, big black spots in the bottom. Furniture worn and broken. Our rooms security lock did not work. The furniture was stained. The rug was dirty. Our first room key did not work (4 floors on a slow, dirty elevator away) . When I got the right key,I found the room was occupied. It was after midnight. I made the employee check the second room. He came back and said it was missing washcloths and hand towels, did we want them. Breakfast was lacking. We could not take food back to the room and there was not much to choose from.
The hotel was clean relatively quiet, enjoyable Parking was a little walk. I told them my coffee maker did not work only to be told they did not have a replacement available. Place was not sold out they could have found another.
Had everything I needed nothing
Location right off of I-4 but slightly down the road away from the other motels. Great Wi-Fi reception Nice work table for computer. Breakfast, with some hot-entrees, was slightly above average for the motel room rates. Canadian ham was very nice. Over-all, the motel showed a little aging, but no glaring sore-points. Breakfast area was very tiny and cramped. Only has elbow-to-elbow seating at tables for 16-people. Most people have to bring food back to room. Would have liked bananas & whole-wheat bread as breakfast selections. Scrambled eggs were somewhat "iffy". No Ethernet port at work table.
The kitchenettes were exactly what we needed as well as the location for our visit. The price was well worth the value. There was a lot of noise above us which made it disruptive to sleep. The AC was very loud so it was fine when it was on but it would turn off and on several times during the night which would wake us up. Would be nice to have a fan option on constantly. The bed was pretty saggy in the middle as well.
Room was clean, staff was friendly. No maid service on weekend,
THE STAFF WAS WONDERFUL. ROOMS WERE COMFORTABLE. COFFEE WAS ALWAYS READY. ROOMS COULD BE CLEANER. FOUND CANDY WRAPPERS UNDER THE CHAIR AND BED.
The front desk person was excellent, she accommodated my room request with a smile. The room was clean, carpet needs updating. Bed was comfortable. nice to have free WiFi. Breakfast was typical for most hotels ; well stocked Needs a new carpet or change entire room to wood . There needs to be a bedside table on both side of the bed, there was only one on the Left. Would have liked more silverware as used one set that night and did not have one for am. Would have liked full pillows rather than the half pillows given
Room was plentiful with own microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, iron with board, hangers, frig, stove, plates and silverware. Bed was a queen size; nice and firm. Bathroom was clean with plenty of towels. The location does have a gym and laundry facility; didn't use them myself but, nice to have if you do on site. Would stay again in the future. One complaint I somewhat had was the noise. It wasn't too bad but, at times during the night from 9ish pm till when they stop, all I heard stomping/running coming from the upper floor (I was on the 2nd floor).
Clean room. Friendly staff. Close to all the activities we wanted to do. Front door of rooms to hallways are not very sound proof. Noisy.
Attractive suite with kitchenette located close to major attractions and walking distance from a mall. Hot breakfast bar was well stocked. Construction nearby was unsightly.
staff was great, really nice and accommodating couldn't beat the price when I needed an extra room for additional attendees they were very accommodating and fair on the rate first room was dirty and actually smelled like urine second room was clean but didn't have toiletries they had a sports team on the same floor making sleep a bit tough at times
The staff were helpful and pleasant. They did provide free internet. The location was cheaper and closer to my Altamont Springs business trip location. No free breakfast The building and rooms are starting to show their age; however the facility and room was clean. There were no toiletries present on the first night.
From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcome and comfortable. The made to order breakfast included in the stay was delicious and extensive. The staff was helpful and friendly. Can't say enough! Will definitely return when we visit the area.
Happy hour - although food could have been better but the breakfast buffet was fantastic The fact that the walk around the lake was closed, one of the reasons I picked this hotel was fora nice walk inthemorning
Rooms all have separate bedroom with a door, which is good for kids that need their own room to sleep well, like small kids in a crib. Pretty good included breakfast. Large atrium, lobby area with some fountains and seating, which my 2.5 year old son enjoyed. Clean rooms, comfy bed. Kind of a bunch of mostly small issues for us, but added up to being a bit annoying. A/C made a jarringly loud bang every 30 minutes or so, but I'm a sound sleeper. Low ceiling in shower (no prob for me, I'm 5'4, but shower head is only about 5'6 above floor), and no bath tub, which is better for young kids than a shower. Multiple issues with the front desk in getting the booking right - twice my room keys stopped working because they thought I should have checked out already. Unusable WiFi (do not stay here if you are counting on their complimentary WiFi to do any work) and a bad cell reception for using your data instead. And all the cords connecting the TV were completely unhooked when we arrived (but I knew how to hook it back up). And there was a sketchy thumb drive left in the room. Preferred my last stay at the Hampton Inn that's a bit cheaper and literally 2 minutes away.
Fabulous breakfast ... even custom cooking was quick and delicious. Free happy hour. Walking distance to parks, lake, and stores. Location is kind of hidden.
The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. Out first night the a/c was broken and we had to move to another room. There was no hassle to make the change and they were very quick to make the adjustment, new room, and a nice credit to the restaurant on site. Very nice and we thank you. Pet friendly makes this location so much more attractive since our pet is family too. The breakfast is really outstanding. We enjoyed our stay... thank you.
Check in was quick and friendly. Room cleanliness was excellent. No complaints. I would visit again.
This location is next to a lake/park with a walking trail. Nice morning walks. It took the maids too long to get to our room. We were gone all day and come back around 4, and our room still had not been cleaned. His happened twice in two stays.
Breafast cook-to-order; cleanliness of common areas including atrium; adjacent restaurant suite was spartan; no minibar as was advertised; plumbing issue
the lake access was great. it was very scenic and a great place for a walk. every thing was fine. we have stayed there before and if the opportunity arises we would stay ther again
The ability to be in more than just a hotel room. Not a thing.
Location. Deadbolt not working, no sound on some TV channels, dead electrical outlet, toilet seat would not stay up. Breakfast: eggs cold.
The home feeling Not one thing
The room was huge, clean, and more than you could ask for. We will definitely stay here again. No
If I could I would give 100 stars!!!!!!!!!!!! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I plan on always staying here when in Orlando.
I have nothing but good things to say about Marriott. This was my first time at this particular Residence Inn but we were not disappointed. We had the Penthouse, 2 bedrooms & 2 baths and it was charming. The front desk staff called us after we got settled in to see if everything was ok. We had one light that did not work and maintenance was there to fix it within minutes. Housekeeping was accommodating to all of our requests and breakfast was great every morning. It is convenient to I4 and plenty of shopping and restaurants near by. I will be staying here again 2 more times this year.
More like an apartment. Pleasantly surprised to get a full kitchen.
Free breakfast. Our room was not clean when we checked in. There was a water bottle cap on the floor, showing that no one picked up. There was a used hand towel and used bar of soap on the bathroom counter, and head hair in the bath tub.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Location and price The unprofessional staffer at the front desk.
I love that place.\nThe staff is PERFECT.\nThe grounds have ample dog areas\nThe rooms are really nice, however there is some structural flaws, but they are being addressed on a daily basis.\nIf you need any maintanence they are there before you hang up the phone.\nThey have a buffet breakfast that is nice, kept my hunger pains away.\nFull kitchens in all of the rooms. \nThe studio's are great but the penthouses.............oh my, I want to live there.\nThe area is all business, so the property was basically all mine in the day. \nIt is very quiet,I didn't even know if the rooms by me were rented.\nI even went back for a couple of days after the daytona 500.\nI WILL GO AGAIN.
couldnt check in till 3pm as they wait until all the rooms are ready
Nothing !! Zip .... nada. Dirty, run down, could throw a baseball onto the highway from our balcony. Crappy service, front entry looked like a jail entrance with locked glass doors & one tiny hole for conversations thru the window. Overbooked ... but took our money (debit card) & gave us a confirmation #. We were turned away at the entrance at 10pm with NO apology or explanation. Took 3 days to refund our money.
Didn'tStay Feces in bathtub. TV didn't work. Table broken. Some light had no place to plug in. All buttons missing from phone which had no dial-tone anyway. Moved us to another room, but no apology, or comment. Second room almost as bad. Contacted Kayak's help number and was given a refund. We didn't stay.
Excellent staff and superb customer service. The fact that Kayak customer service kept passing the buck.
Location and price for short notice.
Design of the shower The Germam ROACHES coming out of the alarm clock, phone and crWling up he walls and bedside furniture..
The price was the best I could find on a short notice. The clerk at check-in was friendly. Provides smoking and non-smoking rooms. Location was right off the interstate. Leaving. The bugs, and I am not kidding. When first walking into the room we saw multiple small bugs by sink area and in the bathroom; also all over the night stand by the bed. The couch had multiple stains on it. The air conditioner was sub-par. Not that I would use it but I noticed that someone had taken the iron, but the ironing board with stains on it was still there. The top of the toilet tank bowl had multiple stains on it as did the sink. The safe did not work. Only one light in the sleeping area worked. The clock did not work. Did I mention the bugs? We saw at least a dozen from the time we checked in til we checked out (the next morning). The ice machine on the 2nd floor did not work. Some of the sockets in the room did not work. Someone had shoved paper towels in the bathroom vent. There were holes above the sink with exposed wires. I stay in cheaper motels for one night visits and I can say this was by far the worst motel I have ever stayed at. The continental breakfast included stale muffins, cereal, bread and coffee. The front doors lock at night and you talk to the front desk clerk through a window. They only provided one set of towels, even though the room was booked for 2 adults. The shower was so dirty that I felt cleaner by not even using it. At checkout the front desk clerk was very short and not interactive. I am not even a person who complains or writes many reviews but this place was so unpleasant I felt the urge to inform potential visitors.
No good dark dirty didn't feel safe roaches didn't eat the breakfast kitchen had to b as bad as the rooms not a good experience
Nothing Staying at the Americas best was a nightmare. The worst experience ever
There really wasn't anything to like Just about as bad as it gets. I knew it wouldn't be great but the room wasn't even clean. The guy who checked us in looked like he had just rolled out of bed. He wasn't friendly or warm. The hotel on the outside appears to be old and very worn. There were many signs taped to the lobby door and one which indicated that the breakfast was cancelled until further notice. We got to our room and the smell was awful. Almost all of the lights were unplugged. The bathroom fluorescent was burned out. There's a fist hole in the bathroom door. Several cigarette burns in the blankets and sheets. The furniture is old and dilapidated. But the real thing that was the worst was a huge blood stain on the mattress. We didn't notice it until the 2nd day. After sleeping the sheets came off the mattress revealing the large stain. It appears that someone tried to hide the stain by putting a blanket between the mattress and sheet. Stay anywhere but here!
Nothing! They overbooked the hotel and tried to blame it on a third party booking company like Priceline. This was after I paid online and got a reservation confirmation. I showed up and saw a sign that said "Closed! Sold Out!" The proprietor on duty wouldn't even be professional enough to open the door or Window to talk to me. Don't waste your time with this place.
Did feel safe No coffee available, very small pillows, toilet running- had to turn the water off to sleep, air co ditioning very loud. Lights were off on parking lot. Had to walk up to 3 red floor. Staff not helpful
Purchaser stay. With breakfast buffet upon checking in was told there was no breakfast buffet being offered even though we had already paid for it
Looks and feels 1920's. We loved the location, staff, and fresh ground coffee which was delivered daily. While we liked the fact the hardwood floors were more than likely original from 1922; we did not like the fact they creaked with every step. Also, our air conditioner made a periodic buzzing sound; however, we got used to it.
Nothing DO NOT STAY HERE!! The pictures are a complete lie. The rooms are very uncomfortable and dirty. I got a rash from sleeping in these beds! I would never ever ever stay here again! The breakfast, terrible. No hot food and the breads and pastry were old! Ugh terrible experience overall.
Hotels has roaches Lots of roaches
having a place to sleep after a long day The extremely rude receptionist The fire ant colony that attacked my feet German cockroach Price
The pool was nice The breakfast bar needed fruit
Location was good, beds were comfortable. I booked a non-smoking room, but it was obviously occupied by a smoker before I arrived. The smell was horrible. The front desk told me to run the AC unit to help with the smell. That didn't help. I won't be staying here again.
AC was loud as all other hotels. But no real issue
The staff was helpful, and constantly asking how your stay was going. Room was clean, and updated. The down side to having a kitchen, is that you had to go to the front desk to get utensils, cooking pots and pans, and plates or bowls. Should consider having a small inventory in the room as well as a coffee pot. Overall very comfortable, and clean.
Older property fairly well maintained It is a busy place, you may have to wait to check in, check out but the staff is very courteous.
Nothing about it Wasn't clean at all... Shower was dirty
Nothing dirty Everything i want my money back
It's an old building with an old design. The bathroom is extremely small.
Pool was awesome the layout of the room and location also the channels avaliable One service lady was extremely rude , breakfast could have more options.
Convenient location just off of I-4. Affordable. Upon opening the room door, I was overpowered by the mold/mildew in the room. When I exited the room at 6am the next morning to get coffee in the lobby, it was still pitch black outside, and the stairs down to the courtyard/fountain area were not lit. Misjudging where the landing was, b/c I couldn't see a thing, I did a header, sprawling out on the stone landing. I injured my ankle severely & hobbled to my business meeting later that morning (with no good story to tell, like going on a bender the night before & falling over drunk - just stayed at a cheap @$$ motel & fell down the dark stairs). When I thought things couldn't get any worse, I returned to the room to use the restroom, shower & dress. After going #2, I discovered the toilet wouldn't flush (b/c the tank was not filling with water). Next thing I know, I'm removing the tank lid & using the ice bucket to fill the tank w/ enough water to get the floaters to flush (a little trick I learned while traveling in Africa). If you'd like to experience the third world a stone's throw from Orlando and the amusement parks, then by all means stay here. If not, run the other way.
I didn't not like this hotel at all. It was filled with roaches. I was pretty discussed in the room. It might as well been a Roach hotel. I will never stay there again in my life. Everything.
The hotel was dirty. The carpeting should be replaced. I believe it was to dirty to clean. I personally wear white sox and had a new pair on. They were black within an hour. The ac/heater was broken. I called to complain and was told the maintenance man was there while we were gone to dinner. No one ever came to look at the heater which is also a fire hazard. The outlet did not have a plate on it and the carpeting was up in the outlet!! I have a picture of the outlet and a video. We were told we could not have another room and were offered extra blankets.! When I complained to the manager in the morning I was offered $10.00 off our next stay. That will not happen!! I will never stay there again!!!! I am contacting the fire Marshall and Days Inn corporate. I have never been treated so poorly!
It is located right off of I4 Dirty, not just stains but actual dirt, like it hasn't been cleaned in years. Killed one German roach. This is not a place for families or anyone who is not a junkie or prostitute.
we arrived around 10 30 and I was waiting outside to check in while the man at the front desk took phone calls. As I was waiting, a cop pulled up looking for someone who was also staying there. There were young kids hanging out in the parking lot blasting music. Emergency vehicles were blocking the parking lot seaching for a woman. We got in the hotel and it was dirty. When we woke up there were bugs on the night stand. I picked up the TV Guide list to look at the channels and saw that there were crushed bugs on the bottom of it that had wiped off on me as I was looking at it. I had my 9 month old daughter with me and I did not feel safe. All in all I was pretty grossed out.
location breakfast value. need a quiet convenient place from time to time for business. provided just what I was looking for. everything was good
The staff was very friendly. They were very accommodating and seemed generally concerned about the guests' well-being. The hotel was very clean and of course updated due to it's relatively new age. Hampton Inns are the hotel of choice that I typically stay in and I enjoyed this particular location the most thus far out of all my Hampton Inn lodging experiences. I will say that I thought due to it's location (lack of tourist attractions etc.) that the price was a bit high. It isn't in a prime location so, that is why I found the price to be a little high. That wasn't a total disappointment, but I think closer to around $80-90/night for my type of room would be more acceptable. Especially when a traveling business individual has a budget for hotel lodging :)
Stayed here for the Florida Film Festival for two nights. Picked a room with a king bed for me and my wife, and the room was much larger than I anticipated, with a separate seating area and desk. Shower was hot and comfortable, there's a decently stocked snack shop in the lobby. Free WiFi (although you can pay for faster speed). Staff was very friendly. Very clean. Breakfast was just okay for me. Did have hot items, but kind of small and not a ton of options. If I was staying for business, I'd eat the free breakfast and be on my way perfectly happy. For a vacation, I like to enjoy a nice breakfast, so we went elsewhere the second day.
The convience. One staff member that had a racial problem.
The staff was very helpful, they were kind at all times. The rooms were clean and the beds were decent. The rooms needed some remodeling. The door was an inch to short at the bottom so outside noise was bad. The linens on the bed had holes in them. In the evening the atmosphere outside was kind of like a frat party. Lots of people outside grilling, drinking, smoking, and being loud. I never felt unsafe but definitely not a place for children.
Porch monkeys drug activity and cops
Checked in after traveling all night. Outside of hotel looked fine. Got into room. Smelled like smoke, looked dirty, holes in wall. Bed felt like sleeping on a board. Pillows were flat..... layed down to get some sleep. There were bugs in bed...after about an hour my daughter and I just got up and left hotel. Did not chexk5 out ay desk. Just wanted to get out of there . Was very uncomfortable. See above comment. There was nothing I liked about it
It was nice it had the kitchen Lots of things with police going on, it was dirty, was suppose to have 2 beds wouldn't stay there again wasn't comfortable with ten nets
staff was friendly dirty rooms roaches very small bed good for one person maybe 2
Really bad odor when entering the room. Cockroach on every wall. Overall dirty and dingy place to stay.
