Pros: Seti was extremely welcoming and helpful. Facilities could use some renovations overall, great location, we loved our stay.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location magic. Perfect setting . Lovely staff. Relaxing and restful.
Cons: The ferry trip both ways was horrendous and the long taxi to resort. Was tiring. . The former would put us off returning sadly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: So peaceful, small and not overcrowded. Perfect start to our holiday. Staff were amazing, food was unreal!!!!! Best food we've had. We will be back, amazing resort
Cons: Bathrooms a bit tired, but still completely functional!!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This is our third stay at Le Lagoto and it never fails to live up to expectation. It is a small resort which we like, very comfortable accommodation, outstanding views, excellent swimming (turtles included!) but most of all the staff are just so lovely. In particular, Seti is a real asset to this resort. Make sure you have a massage too as Dharma is an exceptional masseuse - you get two 15 minutes free massages per room but you will want more! We booked a beach front fale but an oceanview would be pretty good too. Its about a 60 minute drive from the wharf. Good meals in the restaurant, pizza across the road and a number of other eating options in the area.
Cons: It might be time to invest in a computerised billing system.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The big round chairs by the pool :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location right on Lagoon for swimming and snorkeling. The area is much better for swimming than the east side. Staff were friendly and breakfast was quite good. Got pizza from across the road and ate it on our verandah for dinner. Great base to explore the sights of Savaii.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location beachfront. Staff very friendly and helpful...wished we stayed more than a night.
Cons: The ferry experience was confronting for two older women being pushed and jostled. The night we had dinner was very average...the grilled fish was inedible...it was so hard and dry I couldn't eat it. To be fair we had dinner early and I dont think the chef was there...I did mention to the waiter about the fish which I never do and he laughed and still charged full price. I was disappointed that lobster was on the specials board for the day was not available which is why I think the chef hadn't arrived yet...it was about 5.15pm

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the traditional fales that are very spacious with a glorious outlook. Beautiful location and wonderfully hospitable and friendly staff. Couldn’t ask for a better holiday!!
Cons: Pool could do with a repaint.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location was fabulous - right on the beach. the best thing about the resort was the swimming and snorkelling right in front of the resort. Accommodation was not attractive, but was very functional and spotlessly clean. Appreciated the clean, safe drinking water.
Cons: Staff were fairly helpful but gave incorrect information on ferry times. Breakfast was average. Dinners were very pricy so we mainly ate at the excellent pizza place over the road. Wanted to support the resort restaurant, but the prices made it difficult. The resort has no pool. We were told we could use the one at the resort next door, but it was closed for renovation.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great, location fantastic.
Cons: Cost on Savai'i is a bit more than we expected, especially for food....but we understand there are additional freight costs of course.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: 3 nights want long enough!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing! Staff, view and room. Perfect location on the island, sun sets right in front of you every evening. Nice for snorkelling and relaxing. State of the rooms were great, very clean, serviced well and quite spacious. Nice restaurant with food service and a 2 hour happy hour.
Cons: Still cheap in relation to Australia - Though meals at the restaurant were more on the expensive side of what we experienced in Samoa and there are no other food options around to eat in the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here with a toddler and the beach was perfect for her. The water was calm and so clear. We loved swimming and relaxing. Everybody was so friendly.. we will definitely stay there again.
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful and private entrance to room with private seating areas to enjoy the view and sunsets
Cons: No aircon for the price paid
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly staff. Small intimate resort. Low key and casual. Amazing experience swimming with a turtle when out with Dive Savai'i. Several dining options with another restaurant at the neighbouring resort and a pizzeria in the village.
Cons: We were not picked up from the ferry terminal as we had arranged. Also in leaving the driver cut it very fine to get us to our ferry in time as he stopped for petrol and the wait was about 20 minutes. (this was an external provider that die the transport - arranged by resort) Would have been great if they had had paddle boards and snorkelling equipment available.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First of all we loved Savaii Island, nice and peaceful and not too developed. The resort was on a good beach and you could snorkel off of it over coral. The people were lovely. The food was very good, especially those breakfast eggs. One of us was a keen morning runner and it helped that the village had banned dogs. At another resort on the other island she later got bitten by a dog when running.
Cons: The rooms were a bit 'tired' and could easily have been given a lift. But that didn't really matter as we didn't spend much time in them. The showers were pretty weak and pathetic, but we coped. One day we hired a car to drive around the island - we think we could have got better directions from the staff as to what to see and where to eat. Perhaps they should prepare a short handout to guide people around.

7.5 Good
Pros: Location and the staff were absolutely amazing! Made our time there awesome and provided lots of laughs!
Cons: The food menu needs to change. When we ordered a chicken and esi salad. A salad was received sans esi. When asked about the esi, we received an entire esi cut up on a plate instead of being shredded into a fresh salad. But this was the only negative for me.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff and owners were lovely. The beach fale was amazing and I would definitely return!!!
Cons: The menu wasn't correct. My friends ordered a chicken and papaya salad and were looking for the papaya. We told the waitress, who was lovely and she took it back only to come back with a chicken salad then a whole plate of papaya on it's own? Hahaha we laughed at the situation with the waiters and waitress' but it was if the chef was being faali'i when all we wanted was what was on their menu.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good view from the rooms, food was ok
Cons: Expensive but with a cheap motel feel, still have to pay for extras like snorkelling gear, breakfast was minimal and unhealthy. You'd think by upgrading to the $300 villa room that extra breakfast items would be complimentary.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything about it! Clean, great facilities and friendly staff
Cons: N/a
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, reef outside complete with turtles, food and staff were friendly and location is close to dive samoa. Great for hanging out by the pool or snorkeling or not to far to activity spots.
Cons: Fale was close to the kitchen so got a bit of excess noise .
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We went here to have a relaxing do-nothing few days to start our trip, and that's exactly what we got. The pool & beach are extremely clean, gorgeous, and so refreshing. We enjoyed the room (we had a beachfront view), it was well kept and air conditioned. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was great - lots of ppl told us samoa doesn't have the best food - but we disagree! Lunch and dinner at Stevensons was brilliant - every meal delicious. Breakfast was a basic continental spread, but you could order eggs if that was not enough. One day we hired bikes and went for a little ride, great! They also had cars for hire if you want to explore further. It was quiet in October, although clear the resort might get busy in other months. Thank you, stevensons, for a rejuvenating stay!
Cons: The travel (ferry + 45min car) was a mission to get to them... Just make sure you arrive at least one hour prior to your ferry ride, as it is poorly organized and you don't want to miss out & have to wait for the next one!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent resort, cracking location with Fale 10 yards from ocean. Bar restaurant and pool area great set up. Pool overlooks the beach again 10 steps to the clear blue ocean. Good value food, healthy portions. Happy hour on cocktails Friendly staff We chose to stay in a Fale which has decent facilities with toilet, shower, Fridge etc.
Cons: Not sure if it was off season but there was no entertainment at night, maybe a bit of live music in the night time.
Tailua Beach Fale - Manase - Building

8.8 Excellent (50 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Tailua Beach Fale in Manase, you'll be on the beach and 5 minutes by car from Lava Church Ruins. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was great and the beach is beautiful. Fale was great. Right on the beach
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I loved the staff working at Tailua Beach fales. They made you feel like you were part of the family and Lua’s cooking is fresh and plentiful The snorkelling is at the doorstep where the turtles are a highlight. It is very peaceful at night and the beds are raised off the floor with a foam mattress. This is Fale style accomodation where community is important and I always found the other guests open and friendly in this atmosphere. Itty?sp was very helpful. He has a sense of fun and helped run the weekly progressive beach party in conjunction with 2 neighbouring accomodation businesses. This is a very family friendly place to stay with kids though.
Cons: I would like a shower rose in the shower.
7.0 Good
Pros: The fale was comfortable with a power point to charge phones. The view was great, just in front of the beach: with luck you can see turtles swimming from your fale. The owner is just the most wonderful person that I ever meet in Samoa. Always available for a good talk and offered us bananas and a cup of koko tea as soon as we arrived. She is the best cook! Dinner and breakfast were really traditional Samoan home made food. Great experience. Highly recommended.
Cons: There was nothing that I didn’t like.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and welcoming hosts and very tasty food! Thanks again for hosting us and helping with our punctured tyre!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lots of turtles swimming in the area, turquoise water, great food and lovely host and the beds were actual beds rather than the usual mattress in Fales. Also PowerPoint in fale was helpful
7.0 Good
Pros: Beautiful staff who were very friendly and eager to assist, great location right on the water, incredible views, yummy breakfasts! Great value with breakfast and dinner included
Cons: Having fans in the fales would make a huge difference! It got quite humid during the night. Also, if you are a light sleeper the sound of the ocean hitting the retaining wall may keep you up.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Our hostess, Lua, was so kind and welcoming, and is an amazing cook! Beautiful fale was plenty big for two people and had a raised bed, which was nice (as often in Samoa they're on the floor).
Cons: The bathroom could do with a bit of sprucing up. But adequate.
