Hosts took us to a local venue for cape Breton fiddling, took video of the player we expressed interest in, and gave us a cd of parts of the performance. They had videos of other events, including storms in the area in winter, and were happy to tell us about local history and personages. Breakfasts were elegant, and Roger and Brenda always asked if we'd had enough to eat or wanted more. This is the type of B&B we saw in England, Scotland, and Ireland forty years ago!
The hosts are warm and inviting. Like staying with a long lost best friend. We had to leave and could only stay one night!
The whole experience was quite negative. Arrived to be told credit cards not accepted. No TV in room, so hostess offered theirs and then talked throughout the show. No lighting from the parking lot to the door, wonderful in the dark :(. Bathroom much in need of repair and towels cheap and thin. No soap for the bath/shower. Breakfast was basic, ok food. No locks on bedroom doors. I would never recommend this spot to anyone and will never return there.
The cabin was very clean. Did not need to bring a thing other than toiletries. Lots of clean towels for bathroom and kitchen. The owner was very accommodating. Really enjoyed our stay and would definately rebook when visiting Cape Breton Island again. No air conditioning
We loved everything!! Nothing.
