At Hotel Egina Medellín, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Atanasio Giradot Stadium and Palacio de la Cultura. After getting a workout at the fitness center, you can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant or unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge. Nice touches like rainfall showerheads and designer toiletries are offered up in all rooms, along with flat-screen TVs and minibars.
Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful when I needed something. They also had English speaking members of their staff., since my Spanish is not fluent. The hotel was very clean in all respects. I would stay at this hotel again when in Medellin. There are restaurants, a supermarket, the metro, and large sports complex in walking distance, and taxi service there is great at a very reasonable cost.
Cons: The breakfast could use a little help, but.it is ok and included with the room. At the end of the stay they wanted to collect for some type of insurance. I was able to sign a waiver and had no extra cost.. According to my paper work I received from Kayak I did not owe anything at the hotel..
Great value for money, located very close to trans
Pros: The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. Only half of the staff (approx.) spoke English and we had limited Spanish, but we were still able to communicate. The rooms were totally fine - clean and nicely laid out. Nothing super fancy, but very comfortable and great for the price. It was located about one block from a metro station, which was really helpful, and a 10 minute walk from a supermarket. AC worked well the entire time. Breakfast was great! WiFi worked well. All in all, we were really happy with our choice and would recommend.
Cons: Bed was a bit firm and there were some cracks in between the window and wall so air could escape/bugs could get in, but nothing worth crying over. No safe in room.
