excellent view. good breakfast
Staff very friendly, good location, beutifull view.
The hotel was in a great location and the facilities were excellent. Nothing bad to report
The view across the bay to Vesuvio from the terrace. The sunset over the bay of Naples and Ischia is stunning. The food was very good. The staff very friendly, courteous and helpful. The pool and garden are delightful. Room was a little small for a suite. No Bath on-suite. The noisy dog nearby. The rooms are not very soundproof so noisy guests could be heard through walls.
We wnjoy our stay there. Is a nice hotel located in front to the sea with excellents view of Naples bay and Vesubio (you should cross the street to be on the cliffs). Rooms were tide and very clean, the breakfast was very good, the upper restaurant as well. About the location, the hotel is located 10-15 minutes walk more or less North from Sorrento downtown. The hotel has a shuttle to take you to sorrento's downtown at certain times. They aren't real complains about the hotel, the only negative point i noted was that i had a poor reception of wi-fi internet (included in the hotel rate - i.e. free) in my room.
We were given a free upgrade to a room with a terrace which obviously was fabulous but I did see the other rooms with no balconies and apart from having no balcony they were great, too. Reception staff were outstanding, in particular the lovely, helpful, smiley and gorgeous Francesco who was perfect in every way. But the breakfast staff were lovely, too - everyone was so incredibly helpful and sweet. The hotel itself is beautiful - clean and fresh and the beds are so comfortable I never wanted to get up! I was there with my 10 year old daughter and we both want to come back. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
It felt like we had the best view to see all of Sorento. Would love to come back again Our stay was too short!
Excellent accommodation and mostly friendly service - Francesco was very helpful. Breakfast staff swept the food away on the dot of 10am despite the fact that I was already seated well before that time and when I returned to get some milk and preserves was given them with a great show of "what a big favour that was"!
Nice traditional hotel
Attractive decor, beautiful views over Sorrento, very good breakfast. Some staff very obliging, but not all. No tea makers in rooms and personal kettles not allowed. Had to collect hot water from the bar or pay for room service. Limited evening menus, expensive, but plenty of nearby restaurants. Shuttle only takes you half way into Sorrento. Location very noisy and tiled floors throughout meant noisy interior too.
The location of this hotel was terrific. Just outside the bustle of sorrento but a short free shuttle bus away. The staff was amazing and willing to help in any way. They are very helpful in helping plan your day trips. The rooms were spotless and food was good. The pool and gardens was the perfect place to relax and never too crowded ( at least in May to early June). The staff at the bar Danielle (nobody), AmerisourceBergen an Salvatore were excellent and really made you feel special. Piña at the front desk was great too. Hope to go back again some day. The bathrooms were a we bit small. I was disappointed that rooftop bar didn't open till 7th. But they let me up to see what it was like and it was breathtakingp
view Frige empty
Staff, Bar, Sea view, Cleanliness Food poor, too much of poor quality. Breakfast monotonous, large proportion of cakes, some dishes often available only to those who dined early.
Sea-view. Fantastic sunset over the Ischia island. The attitude of the manager: very helpful. I disagree with some comments that breakfast is poor, in fact it was ok for me (but low selection of tea and the coffee was not good), even though could be more variation. The beach attendant works extremely efficiently and is an exceptionally nice person. Some of the staff a bit arrogant. I had problems with one room, but it was changed for me. The bus shuttle over-conditioned, not too comfortable hours. But I really liked the public transport - very efficient, and it was a social experience in itself.
beach in front of the hotel, big rooms not enough english-speaking people, snack-bar not be closed 14.30-19.00 because you can't find anything to eat or drink at these hours, breakfast too poor for a 4-star hotel
Hospitality is good I was sold the hotel on booking but when I got there they room was for the anex across the street, totally different and no pics anywhere telling you what the anex is . However Josseppe was kind to accommodate us in the hotel for one night only he was great..
The staff made us feel that we were intruding on them when we went to the front counter to ask questions about the area/ the hotel etc. The hotel had claimed it was only 10 minutes from Sorrento, when in fact by car it took anywhere from 15minutes to 30 minutes to get into the city.
The hotel manager was put in a difficult position, as our booking through booking.com was never confirmed. We were therefore unable to stay for the 7 days we had expected. The manager arranged for us to stay 3 days at a sister hotel The Grand Hotel Nastro Azzurro some distance away and not by the sea. Once we had moved from the room we were initially given there we didn't want to leave. The breakfast is plain continental and dinner simple Italian. If on half board basis its very good value and we would opt for this next time. The Grand Hotel Nastro Azzurro that we moved to has lovely food and a bargian at €25 pp!
Great Location and Facilities Not as many of the facilities were available and the hotel was very quiet (but it was the off season)
The hotel was very nice staff friendly, it was clean and had a great location by the sea although it is quite far from Sorrento. Nothing regarding the Hotel although the taxi drivers from Sorrento are very expensive and inconsistent with their pricing.
Hotel has its own beach and beautiful sea view from the rooms and it's the main reason we chose it and the only reason to recommend the hotel to others. The room had good air-conditioning. Breakfast was ok. It's definitely too expensive and it's not 4* hotel - I would give not higher than 3*. The floor in the room was never washed during our 4 days stay so I had to wash it myself! Dust everywhere in the room.I Was happy we didn't choose dinner to be included into the price as the food was not very delicious and very expensive. We preferred to eat in the near restaurant Restopizza - this one is perfect, I recommend to everyone instead of food provided by Alimuri.
Room was super clean, the best breakfast in Italy and gratis. Nice pool and a overall good experience. Only neg is that it is about 1 mile from Sorentto but they do have a bus that runs gratis but not too often. Nice walk if you choose to go to town.
Nice quite Hotel, excellent location and good transport links. Would definitely go back again.
Staff were generally helpful and friendly. All other facilities, i.e pool were great. Just a shame the tiles on bedroom floor let them down. If they carpeted the rooms I am sure there would be less complaints all the bedroom floors had no carpets so the rooms were extremely noisy. We complained the first night as the people upstairs were very noisy when they came in at 4am. We were told by reception that the noise would only be for 2 more nights as they weere leaving after that!!! great. Only other thing was toaster not working in hotel. And the hot water urn for tea did not keep the hot water warm at breakfast. Staff in the restaurant didn't want to know.
The service and comfort
We stayed B&B and the breakfast was as good as I've experienced anywhere. The general hotel facilities were comfortable and the staff always very professional. Excellant local restaurant at the top of the road and reasonable local bus service to the heart of Sorrento. Given the comfort of the hotel's public areas, the bedrooms were a little disappointing. The colour scheme and cheap looking flatpack furniture gave them a slightly unwelcoming ambience, though they were certainly clean. Our Superior Twin with large balcony was at ground level, overlooking the bin area.
Lovely food, staff and communal areas, only negative is that the bedrooms are small in size
i liked everything about hotel caravel, the pool area was spotless and very relaxing, staff were very helpful, found no fault at all
The staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful - all of them from the cleaners to the managers - they go out of their way to make you feel welcome - nothing is too much trouble. My suggestion last year was that a later courtesy bus back to the hotel would be welcome and this has been put in place. We would not hesitate in returning to the hotel again. There was nothing to criticise
The staff was wonderful. We stayed there twice and the second room we had with a balcony was a little smaller than the first. The bathroom was smaller too. Overall, very, very nice. The restaurant only had a fixed price for dinner. Food was good but not great. A little far out of town but they have a shuttle that takes you close to town.
Having stayed there twice before we chose the hotel because we new the quality of service and the location of the hotel was what we wanted
The location is just great, especially the sea view! Reception staff are very friendly and helpful, speaking very good English. Breakfast is very poor, mainly bakery (not really good one). Cleaning was not always good (dust everywhere), though towels and linen are always clean.
just the sea view. nothing more!!! dirty rooms. ugly employees. booked 2 weeks. left after one night.... (payed 2 nights... hmm...)
we srayed in the room with sea view and we liked it very much. it is nesessary to write in internet that they don't have quadruple room as it is written. they only give 2 exra bed in the double room.
Excellent staff and big clean bedroom. Amazing view Restaurant not very good. Pool very small
The view, hotel staff,
We loved the location and beautiful view from the glass-enclosed patio..The rooms were well decorated, comfortable and with a small balcony with sea-view. The breakfast was the usual cold continental type. Some hot items would have been nice.
The view is incredible, can't get anything better. The facilities were very nice. We had a suite with a huge private terrance, what more can you ask for. Great value.
The View from our hotel room was magnificent, unfortunately nothing else in the hotel matched this... Room far too small to be called luxurious and the bathroom was minute!
The views of the water are outstanding at this hotel. The solarium in the lobby is also a highlight to be enjoyed.
We loved staying at the Hotel Corallo! We would stay there again in a heartbeat!
It was great and exactly what we expected after what we have seen on the website. Room was excellent, clean, very nicely designed, so was the view to the sea. All the hotel public areas was beautiful. The staff was nice and very helpful. Breakfast was not that great, only continental. If you wish for English breakfast, meat of vegetables, you have to pay for it.
Hotel staff were very professional, friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean and in a beautiful spot. Everything was excellent.
The friendliness of the staff and their eagerness to help at all times. No - we were more than happy with everthing.
Perfect view, lift to the "beach", if you could call it so.
Friendly staff, excellent information of activities in the area, on a good bus root, great breakfasts, views of Bay of Naples and vesuvius, short walk from Sorrento, proximity to three excellent restaurants and bar. Truely an excellent hotel There is nothing bad about Hotel Porto Salvo
The staff was extremely helpful in every way possible. Great location about a 15 to 20 minute walk to Sorrento's Square and in a very quiet location. First night realized there was a huge ant problem but staff was more than helpful and we found a way to virtually eliminate all of the little critters. Otherwise no complaints.
Kind staff, nice breakfast, room no. 1 is big with a big bathroom, free parking area, calm neighbourhood, bus stop close to the hotel, nice view. Only one minor thing: Though having a big bathroom, the shower box is very small, with no place to put soap or shampoo.
very friendly and helpful staff free internet close to the beach and bus stop breakfast ants view
Simplicity and staff positive attitude. Great local restaurants and views of bay. no
It was a very relaxing hotel and fabulous staff
Location was excellent, walking distance to the beach, 5 minutes from railway station, nice quiet rooms (ours #2 was very spacious), lovely terrace for breakfast (we had dinner there as well), quite large selection at breakfast (even cheese and salami), the staff was very friendly, there was cumputer you could use in the lobby (although the printer didn't work), we could use the fridge in the kitchen The coffee at breakfast was terrbile, our air conditioning got turned off so that we couldn't get it back on by ourselves a couple of times (once it was off all night long = HOT), the bathroom leaked water into the room when taking a long shower (I bet there is water damage under the floor)
My father thought the family was friendly and liked the historical aspect of the building. The rest of us found little to enjoy at this B&B. No A/C, 30+ yr old twin beds put together on cot stand for double bed, cold breakfast only, hard to find, no parking, noisy farm animals from 5am to midnight, teenage daughter left in charge of office during day, no shower/bath only, cleaning by maid only some days. I would not stay here again or recommend it at all.
Nothing When we arrived it was very difficult for us to find it. We spent more than 2 hours looking for it and when we asked people for directions no one knew about it. When we finally found it, we found out that this is a house with no lift and they gave us a room on the 3rd floor, with no lift and we had to pass through loads of toys and barbie doll houses which were laying all over the place. We then decided not to stay at the hotel and asked them to cancel the booking. Maria grazia, the owner gave us a room which was not the one we booked and when I asked her why she told us that alll the other rooms are full. However when I spoke to the receptionist, she told us that we were the only people there and therefore it was not true that the room we booked was full this was a very bad experience and in fact we then had to look for another hotel where to stay. The photos on the website do not match the reality. This was our worst experience when travelling abroad.
Our favourite hotel in the region. Wonderful room in an old villa, perfect service (like free internet access, very helpful staff) very nice rooms. We would recommend it immediately! The quality of the bed (mattress) could have been better. Finding a nice restaurant was not so easy.
The hotel has an ideal setting perched on top of the cliff making the views spectacular. The breakfast room has a panormaic view of the bay. Staff at the hotel are very friendly, efficient and helpful and made our stay memorable.
Garden villa is a beautiful hotel with a lovely garden and pool. The room was great and the views of the sea were exceptional. We loved our stay there. The staff is great.
staff was wonderful, friendly, spoke fluent English. Everyone knew the city very well. Location excellent. walking distance for everything we did. close to Train Station which was major plus. air conditioning did not work, was cool enough at night we opened windows.
Character, view, service, intimacy
Excelent breakfast No
Excellent hotel and great staff
Peaceful, calm and quiet setting. Good, helpful service. Good views over the bay of Naples. Easy acess to all local areas, sights, etc. Air conditioning did not work properly. No evening food at the hotel. No separate shower only a hand held version in the bath. For a 4 star hotel it should have been a standard facility to have a separate shower.
Friendly staff, nice clean modern hotel and good bus link into Sorrento. No
Very nice staff, the hotel is cozy, clean, large room with balcony, breakfast is fresh with eggs and everything. It has no parking but they give you a residence card, so you can leave the car without extra cost in fron of the hotel. To say something, they could have a shuttle to drive you to Sorrento, although you have a bus stop near the Hotel. They dont have direct access to the beach
Everything, probably one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. Gorgeous location, attentive staff and very clean and comfortable hotel.
Convient, lemom & orange trees outside accomodation. Reception staff pleasant. Pool good. Thought the cabins needed updated inside and could have provided a kettle and toaster/grill for cooking. Dining menu very poor, dining room staff polite but not friendly.
Staff were great, couldn't have been more helpful. Good Pool and sun area with good sun beds. Extremely clean and well maintained. Worth paying the extra for the better rooms. Not central but easy walking to Sant' Agnello, 20 mins walk to Sorrento. €1 by train or bus. Bar service not good but we were off season. Breakfast good quality but could use more variety. Not much there for kids.
All the staff at the resort were very very helpful, kind and caring. they went out of the way every day to make you feel welcome, comfortable and happy. The facilities at the resort are excellent. My partner became ill whilst at Sorrento and was hospitalised in nearby Castelamaree for our entire stay. All the hotel staff were very kind caring and extremely helpful with anything I needed and went out of there way to help make a difficult and stressful time for me be as comfortable as possible. They allowed me to stay on at the resort for 3 nights more than my original booking even when they were full. This allowed me feel safe and comfortable and not at all alone whilst my partner received treatment in the hospital.
the friendly staff - very pleasant pool area - the grounds with orange and lemon trees. Also breakfast room. The changing of lovely white towels which were changed daily. Was very disappointed with the cabin in which we stayed. very old with stained walls in need of major refurbishment. which was highlighted more so after seeing copy of there brochure where rooms were clean and modern
an oasis to scape from the hectic atmosphere of Italy. has all the ingredients for a relaxed holiday
Location excellent Local bus outside door to sorrento port to catch boat for islands.Short walk to local station to catch train to pompeii and herculaneum and Naples. Excellent breakfast and a well cooked evening nmeal when we ate there. Local minimart, and excelllent cheap restaurants to eat in or take-away. Lovely swimming pool surrounded by orange and lemon trees-nice bar snacks Wonderful view of sea a short walk away We liked constant hotwater and clean towels every day and the quiet of trees and grass in front. The opportunity to use fridge/kitchen for self catering It is basic and there are limited utensils but we found this minor compared to the advantages. Nice and quiet but could be noisy in season. I would not have wanted to be more than 2 people in the hut. There was a double bunk bed as well so presumably its for 4
Nice area, good location outside main busy sorrento while at the same time pretty close. Big parking for free.
We were totally disappointed by the esperidi resort. For a start the chalet that we were given, was more like a shed or 'wendy house', with mouldy wooden cladding on the interior. When the shower was used the floor would soak up the water. Also the room was not cleaned very well at all. Under the bed was dusty etc. As far as safety goes, the kitchen was a nightmare. The gas 2 ring hob did not have an ignition switch meaning that a match had to be used to light the rings. Easier said than done, when holding the gas down and trying to light an unpredictable flame, which caused burns. The cleaning staff at the hotel were friendly, however the reception staff were very abrupt and rude. Within 20 seconds of entering the reception we were asked for payment, without even having a welcome. A 50 euro cleaning fee is also taken, which wouldn’t be so bad if it was actually clean upon entering the accommodation, but this was not the case. All kitchenware had to be cleaned before use, as was the small kitchen area. I would strongly advice people that this is not as perceived. The resort is a bus or train journey from Sorrento. And at night the walk back from the station is a 15-20min walk along a dark road. I must say that none of our upset was down to booking.com, who we have used many times before. It was an unfortunate choice of hotel!!!
Great swimming pool but needs umbrellas to provide some shelter. Nice to have own "terrace" in front of chalet to eat on. Garden setting very pleasant. The chalet was not four-star (the rating of the resort). In need of definite up-dating/up-grading.
We were treated very well, everything was perfect. No
In a quiet environment with friendly helpful staff. Not too many restaurants around but an excellent one in Meta (the Taverna I think) with great food and surroundings at a very reasonable price. It was a little difficult to find by car but easy to find if arriving by train.
everything was OK In the picture hotel and swimming pool look bigger than they are.
Clean, adequate For a 4 star hotel, it did not have luggage racks; antiquated tv; poor lighting; not enough hangars for two people; very small shower stall; no toiletries - shampoo; no tissues; hair dryer was like a vacuum cleaner; noisy - we could hear noise from hallway all the time; located right next door to a church therefore hear the bells all day long. Breakfast was ok and the one dinner we had was absolutely awful. Elevator had just enough room for 1 person with 2 pieces of luggage. Location of hotel was not the best as you either had to call for a taxi, take a local bus or walk. Taxi was too expensive.b Walking along roads with no sidewalks was quite hairy!!!
family hotel brother was very helpful and pleasant and sister lovely people meastro machine was not working for payment was cuased a bit of stress
All of the staff was excellent and very conscientious! It was amazing that they remembered us as individuals even though they took care of so many different people each day. They were also very helpful with info. about various tourist destinations and activities. The only minor problems we had were that the shower was plugged and the air conditioning could have been cooler. It would be nice if the individual guests could control the temperature in their rooms. But as I said this was just a minor concern. Also it would be nice if the pool stayed open a bit later-19:00 (7:00pm) was quite early and it would have been nice to have a cool swim in the evening after a hot day of sight seeing....
I booked this hotel as a base for our holiday exploring the Amalfi Coast. It is situated a few kilometres from Sorrento itself but we had a car so this was not a problem. We enjoyed the terrific views both from the breakfast room and also from our balcony which faced out over the small horticultural areas at the back. The road down the cliff to the small beach below was invaluable when we came back and wanted a swim. The area is not touristy but had a quiet charm and was peaceful. The hotel appeared to have been recently refurbished as everything was in good shape, although the appointments were fairly basic. There appeared to be only 2 restaurants in the immediate locality but they were both good and reasonable (Il Chiosco in particular) The beds were a little hard. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The staff were a little distant, although offered helpful assistance when we had to retrieve a bag that had been lost by the airline. The breakfasts were sweet/ pastry based.
Location next to Villa Fondi with Ocean View over the habour of Piano di Sorrento. Very clean rooom at a good price (70 Eur/night incl breakfast)
good hotel in an excelent location and good value for money
The location is good. It is about 10minutes walking from train station. The view from the hotel and lounge is excellent. The hotel is located on the rock and you can see nice see and Vesuv. Rooms are new and modern. Very nice with balcony. I think we were really dissapointed with the staff - mainly with reception. It may be actually the leader of the hotel. She does not speak English at all. So she could not explain us anything. She did not have any maps or information about Sorrento that could give it to us. She did not have also any timetable of the train in there village so we have to find all information by ourselves. The breakfast was not so good, it was poor. Juices we could not even drink - unfresh and too much sweet.
Best thing about Relais Francesca was closeness to the train station and parking - Breakkfast was a bit limiting
it was small and relaxed not like a big hotel the staff were very helpful and friendly would reccomend to stay
Really nice place to stay, helpful and charming staff, the breakfast was delicious, the bedrooms are clean and tidy. Location is perfect (it is not 700 metres from train station :) but it is great location without a lot of tourists)
The house is well appointed for being a B&B. The staff is very kind and the house gives very good value for money. The location is not central but it is close to the local railway (circumvesuviana). It is a good place for relaxing as it is quiet. The breakfast is not as huge as what we are used to in Central-Europe, however in Italian standards it is totally OK. The hot chocolate at the breakfast was not so good.
The situation was very calm and good with a garden with parking place. Near to the railway station and near to the center of Piano. Very friendly staff.
A very good position to train, and to bus,a good brecfast
The rooms and the views and service The breakfast is always the same, many cakes and sweets which are not freshly prepared but prepaked.
Very nice accommodation, this place was perfect for us, easy to go there by train, very good breakfast. The beach at Piano was a great surprise!
The location was good, near a well connected train station
