The Paramount Hotel - Portland - Building

9.2 Excellent (2,521 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The Paramount Hotel is intelligently designed for today's traveler. From our spacious guestrooms with thoughtful touches and amenities to our ideal location and personable staff, The Paramount Hotel is your Portland hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great value and awesome staff.
Cons: Nothing.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Staff was wonderful, great location and nice view. The bed was exceptionally comfortable
Cons: For the amount we paid for our room, (which was spendy)the bathroom sink was cracked and furnishings a little dated. Bar closed early as did room service Next time we'll look for something else in the same location
2.8 Mediocre
Pros: The hotel itself is nice, clean, and very conveniently located to many attractions and great restaurants in downtown Portland. However, those do not make up for the truly terrible customer service we experienced.
Cons: As a frequent traveler, I've stayed in my fair share of hotels of varying degrees of comfort. Upon checking into the Paramount hotel, I was very pleased with the hotel and my room- however, my pleasant experience stopped there. At 1 AM my first night, the guest in the room next to me was being overly disruptive. I finally called the front desk, spoke to April, and hoped it would be taken care of. The guest continued to be loud and I woke up every hour- at one point she was screaming at a hotel employee that he was assaulting her- until I called again at 4 AM and was told that the guest was being escorted out. However, this process was also loud and kept us up until close to 5 AM- and ultimately, the hotel took 4 hours to solve a problem that I called about at 1 AM. I understand that a loud neighbor is not the hotel's fault- what happened next was. I never received any sort of follow up from them, explaining or apologizing for our terrible night. Since I was not contacted, I stopped by the front desk and spoke to Jeremy- he was rude and did not apologize or offer any explanation as to what happened or what compensation we could expect. I stopped the desk a second time and requested that a manager call me on my cell phone- I was going to be out of my room all day. I left my cell phone number with Jeremy- and received no call. I returned to the hotel around 7PM and once again approached the front desk- I was told there was no available manager and that I wouldn't be able to speak to one until 9 AM the next morning (after I was already expected to check out). Finally, Charlie at the front desk was able to get a hold of a manager who said that she had tried calling my room (even after I specified that I would be out all day and specifically left my cell phone number) and that they would compensate one night of my valet parking ($39). Through all of this, I still never spoke to a manager and never received a formal apology (though a manager did call me on my flight back to New York the next day). Overall, the horrible customer service and miscommunication of the hotel staff left me upset and, frankly after the events of the night before, unsafe. For the cost of this hotel, I expected better service and a better compensation for my lost night of sleep. My stay was handled in an unprofessional manner- I certainly will not be returning and urge others to choose other accommodations when visiting Portland.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: restaurant was great. Room was clean and comfortable.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was ideal. Close to everything. I felt very safe in the area.
Cons: No.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the view from my room and i loooooooved the comfy bed.
Cons: the coffee in the room. i was surprised it was starbucks. tasted like dishwater and i used bottled water. The parking price is exorbitant, especially since it is 20 in other places.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The bathroom in my room had black mold and red fungus to such an extent that I borrowed a shower at another hotel where a fellow conference attendee stayed. I ordered room service dinner and received raw salmon, which I could not eat. At checkout, I asked for my bill to be adjusted because of the mold and fungus (I didn't mention the expensive and inedible dinner) but the clerk told me this was not likely to happen because I did not "report the incident at the time". I asked them to take the time to look at the mold because it wasn't an "incident". He declined, but said he'd have a manager call me. Someone did call later in the day and after explaining my concern that this is a very real health hazard, the "manager" offered to waive my dinner tab. It wasn't a slap in the face but it sure was underwhelming in the customer service department. No expression of concern, chagrin, plan to abate immediately etc. As a minor aside they charged me more for the second night than my booking showed. You have to pick your battles....
Cons: Mold and fungus in a hotel room is unacceptable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Decor and locations
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Staff was excellent. Very accommodating and helpful
9.7 Excellent
Pros: location close to everything
Cons: Walls were a bit thin?
7.0 Good
Pros: Secure building. Spacious room. Actual hotel building was quiet and felt small because of the layout.
Cons: More worn down than expected. Especially for the price. Fitness center was lackluster. Area was noisy. Room often smelled like campfire because of a drafty window and smokestack on the roof next door.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel, they have two separate restaurants, The Swine and The Swank. Both restaurants are lively, great Service and food. This Hotel is right in the middle of downtown Portland and a block from the metro train with quick access to the airport.

6.7 Good
Cons: Acoustics very poor I could hear the elevator and vacuuming at 7:00 am. For being only a year old, there were definite signs of wear and tear. The sliding bathroom door, while a great idea was extremely loud. Room decor was really busy and confused.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean healthy
Cons: Variety of breakfast, bathroom door had no latch and would not stay shut, no pool.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the location and the friendly atmosphere in the hotel.
Cons: From the moment we walked into our room it smelled like sewage and it was coming from the bathroom.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent
Cons: Having to pay many weeks in advance, as the hotel did not trust third party - booking.com? - bookings. I would have preferred paying in American dollars than having to pay the exchange rate on my Aust card.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is awesome.....the staff, location, accommodations and price make this one of the best places to stay when you are downtown!
Cons: Nothing everything is always great!

8.2 Excellent
Pros: spacious, full kitchen, good bed, good desk with lots of electrical outlets, good wifi
Cons: breakfast room too crowded
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, modern decor and CLEAN for a pet-friendly hotel. The front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable, as were the valet guys. Loved the courtyard and you can’t beat the complimentary breakfast. We would totally stay here again.
Cons: The only thing we didn’t like was that the parking was $44/day!! We felt much safer using the valet than parking on the surrounding street.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely kind and patient with our group of girls. The room was perfect and overall a nice experience
Cons: No complaints!
6.0 Good
Cons: The room was expensive for putting us in an ADH compliant room without telling us. The shower had a shower curtain and was set up for a wheelchair. So it was ore than we should have paid.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location near the PDX train station was fantastic. We took the train, arrived at the Portland train station and was in our hotel room within 15 minutes. The hotel has many great restaurants within walking distance and the Saturday Market was a 20 minute walk (tops) from the hotel as well. The kitchen was very well stocked, the room was very clean (and I have very high standards) and the bed was very comfortable. People have complained about the noise level being close to the train station, but we didn't notice it at all. And the staff made the stay exceptional - super friendly and accommodating. My husband and I met our daughter who lives in Portland. We were able to get a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom room so that she could stay with us and the price was much cheaper than renting and AirBnB at the time. WE didn't use the pool or the fitness room but we did have "a look" for future reference. The fitness room looked small, but had all the basic equipment and looked clean and well kept. The pool looked a bit small, but the salt water feature is definitely a plus. We will definitely stay again!
Cons: nothing - everything was fantastic
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent in every way from the property to the staff
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good costumer service All People’s are friendly and respectful.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Central location, new, clean, felt safe. Place had a high standard.
Cons: Parking was a problem. For other travelers you can park across the street at paid parking for $12. Or you can park on the street at night but you have to move at 700 am
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Fair amount of construction behind the hotel. Not too much of an issue on weekends, but could be disruptive for business travelers during the week.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: King studio has large rooms, big windows. Room kitchenettes well-equipped with micro, stovetop, full fridge, dishes, pots/pans, silverware. Pool water is warm (salt water) in a beautiful room. Good quality breakfast. Helpful, friendly staff.
Cons: Pool itself not huge. Meant for business travelers to do lap swimming. Worked ok for some kids playing. But means no room for lap swimmer then. FYI - no hottub. Parking is valet or pay across street (expected for downtown). Some street parking available.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: EVERYTHING, Breakfast, room, location etc
Cons: No
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service, location , decor & breakfast
Cons: None

Cons: pets not allowed.
7.0 Good
Pros: In town for Thanksgiving. Location was perfect at it was near our family. Room was bigger than we thought. Pool n breakfast was a big plus! Friendly staff. Housekeeping was great. We didn't want service but staff still offered to refresh our room.
Cons: We traveled with 2 children & 2 teenagers. Didn't find info about any of the local restaurants or entertainment our room. I'm from Vancouver so not a big deal, but it would be helpful for out of town families.

Cons: Nothing not to like!

Cons: Nothing I can think of.
7.0 Good
Pros: New and clean. Very friendly front desk staff. Don't remember his name though. Pool was decent size and indoor for year round use. Wifi worked well.
Cons: Both mornings I looked forward to the complimentary breakfast to save me some money and time. However, the only source of protein was eggs and both mornings they were gone...and left empty for at least 15 minutes, before I finally left. Kinda lame.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very helpful and friendly. We especially appreciated the courtesy shuttle service.
Cons: Getting into Portland from this hotel using only public transit can be time consuming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I believe its a new hotel. They serve not just breakfast but a small dinner menu Monday through Thursday. Close to lots of restaurants. Not far off the freeway, so easy access to Portland airport on the other side of the bridge. Staff very friendly.
Cons: No
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel only a few years old. Rated as a 2.5 star but really this should be a 3 or 3.5 star property. Hotel was extremely nice, very comfortable, and very nice amenities. I almost never give a '10' rating but this hotel definitely gets a 10.
Cons: Hard to find anything not to like about this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: new, clean, quality furnishings, staff, breakfast, light dinner. great TV set
Cons: room had two queens and only one chair at the desk. Should be able to sit two at least, otherwise the room was a 10.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: I was a little disappointed that we had to carry our bags upstairs to get to the lobby. The day we arrived there was no valet. The lobby can get crowded, as it is an older building and the layout is cut up into small rooms. Once we were in our room, a Deluxe Double Queen, however, we were in heaven!! Very spacious, beautiful decor, a nice kitchen and sitting area! We LOVED our beds! So comfortable and cozy. Roomy enough to do a little yoga before starting our trek across Portland. AND the breakfast was beyond expectations - so many choices of fresh, delicious food and coffees. Great hotel! Great value! Will stay there again.
Cons: No Valet. And no one to check our bags in while we waited until the room was ready.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: first of all, employee. I love how they serve. location is also good. save a lot of our travel time.
Cons: there is no sleeper in suite. that is everything I can find.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect trip hotel was clean and service was great!
7.0 Good
Pros: Suite was very large and should have been great for our family of 3. However, the sofa bed, which is an obvious plus for a family traveling together, was the most uncomfortable mattress/bed we have ever experienced. Thankfully the staff were at least willing to give us an extra duvet so that our son could put it on top of the mattress, but it was really awful. Otherwise, room was nice, bed was fine, pillows were all good and the suite was nicely furnished and equipped with dishware, cooktop, fridge, etc. If there had been a better mattress on the sofabed we would be giving this a much higher rated review.
Cons: Sofabed was AWFUL!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Breakfast area needs to be larger but not terrible
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Personnel Breakfast
Cons: Our WiFi connection was awful. It kept going off while using it. We had to log back on giving name and password continually. Had to step out in the hall many times to connect. We were in room 605.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, very accommodating. Great location, nice room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, great customer service
Cons: Can’t think of anything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I've been staying at this hotel for years. It has an elegant lobby, excellently updated rooms, and unequaled location - close to all the Portland downtown activities and top notch retailers as well as many, many great places to eat.
Cons: What's not to like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Classic quality, great architecture
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building, very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. The Palm Court was great for breakfast and a drink in the evening.
Cons: It would have been nice to have a couple of armchairs in the room, there was only one and it was not very comfortable.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable bed; location; nicely renovated
Cons: Bathroom: far too small and very poorly designed. Charging a "resort fee" is ridiculous: this is Portland, after all. Not good value for money.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The lovely suite and excellent bed! The beauty of the building, the concierge Cord and all the other staff
Cons: Bathroom ridiculously small, not enough closet space
6.0 Good
Pros: Clean room.
Cons: No parking. Tried to force you to pay $45 for valet. What a joke.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the hospitality of the staff and they were quick to deliver anything we needed. For being in the city it was really quiet and we were very satisfied
5.0 Okay
Pros: It's location in the central business district.
Cons: There were added fees that I found objectionalble.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Upon check in the front desk attendant told me the floor I would be staying on was haunted. I asked to be moved to an un-haunted floor, was given a lesser room than booked. And I found "hotel shuttle" does not mean the service is free, nor available 24/7.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Enjoyed the old school, old world decore. Staff at check-in, concierge, bar and dining room were very helpful, courteous, responsive. Got a good workout in the exercise room.
Cons: Downtown Portland has its challenges with homeless, but the Benson is centrally located on the old town side, with easy access to public transportation. Parking is expensive, so turned in my rental car and used the light rail to get around and save money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The soaking tub was lovely!

Pros: The concierge, was spectacular. The hotel had a youthful vibe in the lobby but on the 18th floor it was quiet and conducive to rest. The parking is pricy $33, and plan on using the valet $15. The movement of cars in self park is slow.
Cons: This hotel is dark. If you like natural light. This isn't the place for you..

Pros: The rooms were fine. The lobby was nice and the happy hour daily was an added bonus. Excellent location.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendliness of the staff. All the extras like a yoga mat and comfy bath robe.
Cons: My in room phone was broken and my room didn''t have the yoga mat already in it so I was worried I would get charged for taking it home.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully decorated, great location
Cons: The $27 amenity fee that was charged after checkout that was not mentioned at check in I feel this was unfair as I did not use any of the extra amenities they offer. They however were gracious enough to refund the charge after I called.

Pros: The staff
Cons: Not at all!
6.3 Good
Pros: The central downtown location and easy access to freeways was great. The valet staff and bellman were excellent as well.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was nice, had vintage theme throughout. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The room was small- smaller then I've had at say a 3 star hotel. I was not aware this is a pet friendly hotel so there were dogs everywhere, not what I would expect for a 4.5 star hotel.

Pros: The staff are courteous and efficient Location is excellent.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Accomodating staff that gave us a huge room and brought up an extra bed for our fourth party member. We were expecting to sleep on camping pads on the floor for the extra guest, but Sentinel was happy to provide a comfortable temporary bed.
Cons: I wish the parking was on-site -- I don't like valeting my car. Our room had almost no natural light, but this was balanced out by the size and cleanliness of the room. There was an odd faint beeping noise that continued the entire time we were ther
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great. Food, wine, location and restaurant guide from the front desk. The property is historical yet updated, maintained and classic. I highly recommend the double bed choice for the room size. Perfect for me and my son. Our business meeting was an 8 minute walk.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Terrific staff starting with the car valet service and continuing with front desk staff. We needed a minor repair to one of the windows in our room and the maintenance person came immediately and made the fix quickly. We also liked the bartending team at Jackknife, the in-hotel bar. We didn't eat any meals at the Sentinal, but there are lots and lots on dining choices in the neighborhood including Bistro Agnes, one of the best French bistros in town!

Cons: That I had to leave after 1 day. End of my vacation. I will come again
1.0 Poor
Cons: Well they charge a resort fee. The hotel is hardly a resort. The resort fee apparently covers for wifi, water and coffeee. I felt sorry for the staff that had to justify it. The elevator was out of service during the time I checked in.

Pros: I am a sucker for bathrobes, so those were nice to have in the room.

Pros: Great location, near everything on foot. Great room, good atmosphere. Good common areas (nice living room to chill in!). Quiet neighborhood.
Cons: As others have mentionned, there is kind of a weird smell in the house. I got used to it quickly - it was nothing major to me. The pillows could've been thicker/more comfortable.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very helpful. The only issue is parking. It's expensive at $39 per day and guests are basically forced to pay the price because there is no alternative available. However, the valet staff is delightful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were truly friendly
Cons: Parking is expensive but expected due to location.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: the location and the spacious rooms with kitchen
Cons: the coffee. They need to serve better coffee at breakfast. It was pretty awful. And a non-red meat sausage would be appreciated.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel itself was fantastic; our room was big and clean. The breakfast was great. Location was pretty good too; easy access to downtown and about 25 minutes to PDX. The pool and gym area looked really nice as well.
Cons: My only issue was the parking; we rented a car and we found 39$ a day for valet parking to be steep. Our only option was street parking around the hotel, which was always available during our stay but it was an inconvenience to always make sure you are within the hours and paid at the right time. It is free from 8pm to 8am, but that means you have to get up and go pay for parking if you have not left yet. Waking up at 7:30 to go pay for parking in the rain sucked. Other then that, I do not have any other complaints, but this will likely prevent me from coming back here if I have a vehicle with me.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: I was almost $190 + taxes so not a margin, but like most things - you get what you pay for. It is a top-shelf business-type hotel but would be comfy for family or vacate travel too.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great decor and friendly staff .
Cons: Great location in Metropolitian Portland! But the parking of $39.00 charge per night can break the bank . Please be advised of this if driving to this hotel to stay . Construction next door was overwhelming at most also
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is fantastic! Very clean, great breakfast and the rooms are beautiful! The beds are very comfortable as well. I did not get a chance to go into the pool or weight room, but they also looked very clean.
Cons: Parking was a bit of a pain if you don't want to pay for valet.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast variety including Greek yoghurt, variety in cut up fruit, raisin bread, cooked to order omelets. (Coffee could be a bit stronger.) Friendly staff. in lobby: Computer with printer. Fast WiFi. Warm pool room. Clean and airy gym.
Cons: No jacuzzi.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Modern decor
Cons: No parking
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great beds, spacious rooms
Cons: Heating turns on automatically when you enter the room which is annoying, but I reckon some people like it
7.0 Good
Cons: I loved the layout of the room and how it was set up. I didn't like how I paid extra for the river view, but didn't get my river view and wasn't accommodated for it nor given the extra portion of that money back.. Also on top of me already paying for everything a day in advanced. When i went back to go pick up my key i had to pay an additional 50 bucks. I told the lady they didn't say that a day before when it was just paid for she kept talking about booking doesn't know this and I said I didn't pay through booking only reserved it through booking. I paid here in person yesterday and she wouldn't listen. So i just gave her the extra 50 bucks so my bday wouldn't be even more ruined. Otherwise i love this place. It's really beautiful and I would stay again and again!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable.
Cons: I live in a rural area so was not accustomed to limited parking and then paying for it. Although i felt the parking garage kept my vehicle secure.

I’d definitely recommend a corner room! The room is stylish and modern and the bath amenities are quality. Absolutely would recommend Dossier!! ***** !
5.0 Okay
Pros: Not much. Could not check in at 4 pm and had to wait because the room was not ready. Then after checking in the room we were given was next to someone smoking marijuana. The beds very extremely small and could barely fit my kids. Also the parking fee $45

The Heathman Hotel - Portland - Building

8.9 Excellent (1,748 reviews)
7.9 Good
Pros: The room had a nice view of the street but was quiet and very comfortable. I loved the mattress, want to track one down for myself. The bar had good food and drinks.
Cons: The staff could have been a little warmer. Other than multiple bellman, who were all very warm and helpful, the couple of people I interacted with were a little put out it felt. The one gentleman who checked me out was kind. But the woman beside him, helping another couple and later helped me retrieve luggage was a little ... "Above it all"...
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff was stellar. The location was fine. The room was cute and clean. The common areas were beautiful. Liked having a bike to ride, a cocktail hour, good coffee available in the lobby in the morning.
Cons: We were not expecting a $26 added amenity fee (pretty sure I didn't see anything about this when I booked), nor a $50 overnight parking charge. (fortunately we were able to secure parking off site for half that price on our own.) Rooms and bathroom were very small.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was fabulous! Loved the spacious brand new room design. The bed was super comfortable. Received a welcome drink and friendly check in. We made French press coffee each morning. There were so many nice touches and extra amenities. The new renovation and update is wonderful and yet preserves the classy character of the original hotel.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The library-lounge.
Cons: Hidden 'Amenities' fee, $128. On top of my ---$ 1-night reservation. Hotel claims it has this fee for every guest. Well, whoever made the hotel listing is fraudulent if this fee is as universal to all their guests as they claim. Con-artists in business

Cons: Not clean under furniture and in corners

Pros: The food was excellent as were the staff. Room was spacious and clean with nice view.

2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Great location in downtown Portland. Restaurant has excellent food. Hotel room was exceptionally clean.
Cons: The pillows.....
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great restaurant & bar; wonderful library area to relax in; complimentary alcoholic beverage upon check in; friendly staff; large room with nice features.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Accessible to the Oregon Convention Center and to the Max (mass transit) to go downtown. Good food onsite and pleasant staff.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location was convenient.
Cons: We booked for 2 nights for our business travel. My colleague and I shared a queen room. The first night we were there we got back into our room late. We each had already got into our beds when we noticed the sheets were not clean. There were stains and hairs that were not ours. (Yes, it was gross and we had laid in it so it made it even more disgusting.) We called the front desk and a woman was sent up to change our sheets. The whole ordeal was quite awkward as she asked to see the hairs and stated that hairs in the sheets can be a result of the laundry. We then pointed out the stains/matter on the sheets that clearly was NOT from being laundered. Upon seeing those she did verify the sheets were indeed not clean, but then asked if we just wanted her to leave us clean sheets to make it ourselves. She was noticeably annoyed and let us know she was supposed to be getting off soon. She did remake both beds and did a nice job of doing so, but it really affected our whole impression of the hotel itself for the rest of our stay. In the morning we were reached out to by Julia, the manager, via text message and she did comp us parking for both nights. We never were replenished the comfy fur throws that initially were in the room, nor did anyone in management try to speak to us in person. We won’t be returning to this hotel for our next trip back to Portland.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: cleanliness and the room was cozy
Cons: no
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice room. Liked the bakery and upstairs bar.Nice touch with the champagne for my wifes
Cons: Room phone didn't work.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very close to our event where we were at.
Cons: The picture frames in the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an older hotel that has been modernized and they did a great job. Rooms have nice touches like no-fog center of the bathroom mirror, built-in charging cords for various iPhone and Android phones, and comfy beds. Very friendly staff.
Cons: Parking access is awkward with a very steep ramp off a one-way street.
7.0 Good
Pros: The lobby, the room itself was great !
Cons: It was right above the light rail , which ran every few minutes, room was lovely but I was up all night (w earplugs) staff said I should've requested room in quiet section of hotel..but no one suggested that option when I checkefd in!!
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location for Convention Center events and right across the street from train to the airport and downtown.
Cons: pretty mediocre fitness room
5.0 Okay
Pros: Cleanliness & decor. Comfortable beds.
Cons: Valet staff was not the nicest. Charging for parking in a hotel that costs this much is ridiculous. The rooms (2queen bed) are tiny. Finding additional street parking was difficult.
7.7 Good
Pros: The facility was very nice and the room was comfortable.
Cons: Upfront, transparent pricing! When I read what the rate was and then the caveat “plus applicable taxes and fees,” there was no indication of what the amount would be or how it was calculated. I was completely astonished when “the fees were $42.00. The room ended up costing more than other rooms I could’ve reserved if I had known a more accurate online price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is very near the convention center and the staff are excellent.
Cons: None.
1.0 Poor
Cons: The hotel charged $234 dollars to my account by accident. I'm still awaiting reimbursement from them. Still waiting for a callback from the manager as well. The rooms are located so close to the train that it was hard to sleep. It was SO loud!

Pros: Didn't spend a lot on a room here. It was a quick escape from family with my girlfriend.
Cons: Ghetto people love to start yelling at 6pm and never let up all night
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Close to the location we needed to bed at the next day.
Cons: It was a scary part of town and just did not feel safe. Room windows had extremely poor locks so if we left the room to eat out we took our luggage and personal belongings with us.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Though the front desk person was lacking, someone tidied up the room every day and left fresh towels. The location was close to the place I was there to work at. It wasn't super quiet, but it was as good as one could expect on that stretch of road.
Cons: The person at the front desk was rude & short with us - even before we arrived. We called to let them know when we would be getting there - to hold the reservation. She was a jerk then & never got better. I'd hate to see how she deals with the clients that need more than an extra towel...which was the only request we made. As for the room - it had not been updated for many years...that means the carpet and bed-spread were scary and I was afraid to turn on the old under-window heat unit because it actually looked like it had been used as a urinal.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location was good.
Cons: There was ants by the sink the 2 days I was there. Bubble type TV with poor channel, the sound was poor quality, irritating to my ears.
