Cons: breakfast is a cold breakfast, self-service. On the other hand, it is plentiful and there is food available all day.
Pros: The guest area was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. A lot of thought had gone into making the area as comfortable as possible. The bedroom had a desk that I could use and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom extremely clean and all amenities provided. A generous breakfast was included as well. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming.
Pros: Helpful owners. Good location near the airport with potential for pickup. No difficulty parking. Nice to have mini fridge and other facilities, and local information. Lovely views.
Cons: Initially difficult to find the road. Breakfast set out but lack of understanding of dietary needs, though good choice for those without significant restrictions.
Pros: Amazing! Absolutely loved our stay in this pristine house.
Pros: Very nice shared facilities (kitchen, living room, bathroom) Very friendly owners Good parking Beautifully located
Cons: The room was rather small
Pros: The room had big windows and a wonderful direct view to the sea and the village. Also, the place is very cozy and quiet. The owners, Pauline and George are very nice as well. I would definitely come back here!

Pros: Location, view, friendly staff
Pros: Great stay on great place, owners were very kind and helpfull.
Cons: Everything was ok.
Pros: Maria and Kent are really nice hosts, very helpful and friendly. Communication was easy and uncomplicated, the rooms were lovely, the view amazing and we had everything we needed. And we loved the pancakes :)
Pros: Friendly, welcoming, stunning location looking out the fjord towards mykines with terns and turnstones flitting outside the window...
Cons: I didn't realise that by September the cafe (and hence breakfast also) would be unavailable. Which is a big problem if you arrive on Sunday evening when everything is shut.
Pros: Comfortable beds, heating, very clean
Pros: Location, the room with seaview

Pros: The guesthouse has lots of downstairs rooms to relax in, read books or play cards. It has a library area too. The room we stayed in had comfortable furniture and a wonderful view of the harbour area.
Pros: Host was exceptional. Everything was as advertised. For August in the Faroe Islands, it was a good value. The guest house had lots of character - the owners have put a lot of thought into restoring it. Breakfast is also a well-done continental breakfast. Easy parking and host was there to greet me.
Cons: Just one shower (two baths) shared between the rooms.
Pros: The location is excellent, perfect for exploring the island of Vagar. Quite close to the banks (ATMs), grocery stores and the gas station. The guest house itself is extremely spacious. They are so many rooms to relax and lounge in that you will not be in the way of other guests. The kitchen is well equipped to make your own meals. The breakfast is also delicious with a variety of options. Lots of parking available right next to the guest house too. Janette, who manages the guest house is easy to communicate with to coordinate arrival time. She's also very knowledgeable about things to do and can give you a many pointers and useful information.
Cons: While the rooms are small, it's generally the size of rooms you find in many guest houses on the islands so it's not all that bad.
Pros: Bath was excelent after a long hike.
Pros: Thank you for your kindness!
Pros: The staff is extremely polite, the breakfast was good and the house is beautiful
Cons: The room was very small if you go with luggage
Pros: Well located guest house near airport. Warm welcome. Pretty decoration in house oozing with antiques.
Cons: Noise from traffic throughout the night. Not great if you are a light sleeper.
Located in Vestmanna, Krákureiðrið provides accommodation with free WiFi and a shared lounge. Guests at the bed and breakfast can enjoy a continental breakfast.
Pros: Very good quality for its value
Cons: I did not like much of this place. The owner was nice but just gave quickly the key and left (which was never the case in other places). We slept in a room closed to the kitchen and could hear all the noises. We felt like if we had the head in the oven and the feet in another room. It is uncredible how you can fit 6 rooms in such a small place. Besides, an italian couple arrived a few minutes later after us and although they tried to call the owner, it always answered: "No one under this number" or no answer at all. They had to wait in the kitchen for more than 1 hour and another couple told us the same thing arrived to other people the day before. In the small kitchen, no way to know what was intended for breakfast, so we preferred to leave in the morning without having breakfast. This is the ONLY PLACE where we were disappointed. It looks like the owner just wants to make as much money as he can, no matter if it suits the guests or not. Sorry for these comments but I would never recommend it. Maybe a little less expensive than other places, but no interest (plus the city has no charm, except for boat sightseeing).
Pros: Great hosts some friendly guests!
Cons: - Room was next to main road - Sound proofing was horrible (doors and windows) as we could hear every little noise - Some guests were very loud and made it impossible for us to sleep past 6:30am
Cons: There is no reception and you have to phone to get the keys.
Pros: The price
Cons: Only a cash place with business contacts. Algeco concept with thin walls and maximum room in a small place. Self service breakfast with no intimity
Pros: A cute B&B on the harbour at Vestmanna. The room was big, and bed was comfortable. Good kitchen facilities. Breakfast is self serve - but plenty to eat (eggs, bread, cheese, milk, cereal). We also had to cancel our first night last minute as we got stuck on Mykines with no ferry or helicopter service available, and there was no problem with us doing this. Bathrooms are clean and there are good laundry facilities as well.
Cons: no complaints!
Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Budget Guesthouse Borgustova offers accommodation in Vestmanna. Enjoy a cup of coffee while looking out at the sea or mountain. Every room has access to a shared bathroom. You can engage in various activities, such as cycling, fishing and hiking.
Pros: It was really nice and welcoming
Cons: The shower head was broken
Pros: Rustic charm of a local Faroese home, great value, all amenities, friendly and helpful proprietor.
Cons: Stairs to upper level extremely shallow in depth, can be treacherous to climb and descend for anyone with any disability.
Pros: Our room had a wonderful view over the fjord. The kitchen was well-equipped.
Cons: The house was very old, the towels and sheets were worn-out and some of them had leftover stains.
Pros: Nice location, nice wifi. Kitchen with possibility to cook and store food. Flexible with arrival time and easy to pickup key.
Cons: Parking on the street. It would have been nice if the trash from the previous guests were gone or at least some information about how to dispose of it. TV did nor have an antenna.
Pros: quiet place, there is a wash machine for the guest(no detergent, dry machine is not allowed to use) I think this is the cheapest single room in Faroe islands.
Cons: I never saw the owner, they just gave me a message after check in if you need help don't hestage...so I was wondering that all of the tap water was a bit brown then I sent a message if I can drink it or not but there was no reply.
Pros: The beds were lovely and comfortable. The apartment was very roomy. It was good to have a vestibule for wet coats and muddy boots. We were driven to the apartment on checkin.
Cons: The street light blazed in the bedroom window. Heavy curtains would be good. The only saucepan with a lid had a buckled bottom. It is a 20 minute walk from the Tourist Information office to the accommodation.
Pros: Thought it was very simple just what was needed and clean
Cons: The guy pea on the floor twice didn’t clean it up in the toilet
Pros: Nice experience with local authentic Faroe house. Room is with heater, you have all appliances.
Cons: A bit old bathroom and kitchen.
Located in Sorvagur, Hotel Vágar is within a 5-minute drive of Streymoy and Vágar. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location is close to Vagar Airport
Cons: Self-checking did not work as it was written on the self-check-in "reception" desk sign. We waited at least for half an hour for the message with the room password. Not very friendly staff in the breakfast. Weak breakfast overall. Money value not worth the service fin my opinion.
Pros: Location to airport
Cons: Digital self-Check-in procedure, size of room, shower missing a door, breakfast poor.
Pros: Comfy bed. Big bathroom. Friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet & location.
Cons: No complaints
Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: Self check-in with key-code sent by email after 5 minutes
Cons: On the second day, there were less choices for breakfast. Room was a bit too small.
Cons: No reception. As a solo traveller in a location that was really isolated a reception and a nicer area to sit in the evening would have been useful.
Pros: Right next to the airport that’s the main reason to stay here Clean
Cons: No staff! Felt like a ghost town Value for money is poor No food facilities, at least the vending machine can be filled! Foozeball table with no balls
Pros: Hotel next to the airport (the only one in the Faroes). Walkable distance to the airport terminal (5 minutes) so you can return your rental car earlier and save some money. Nice and clean, hot water and heating.
Cons: In order to check-in, you need to use iPad provided and then call the host and she will send you code to your room. So english is required and device where you can check your email (wifi is available right away). Restaurant was close for the winter so there are only two places in neighboring cities where you can have dinner (10 minutes drive). They open however only for dinner (at 17:00). On Sunday when all of the shops are closed (our situation) we had to skip lunch because we couldn't find any place to buy food.
Pros: Location to the airport
Cons: No restaurant open in the evening. No breakfast laid on for early flights. Poor. Ceiling tiles in room badly water stained. No receptionist on duty to assist with alternate eating arrangements.
Pros: It was close to the airport
Cons: I paid for a room which was to include breakfast, but because there was no staff we couldn’t get breakfast before we left
