Very nice hotel, perfect details, elegant decorations. The staff is very kindly
rooms design, helpful staff
Hotel is very nice , close to open sea arround 20-30 km but the contidtion in Sycylia is the best . I think You need to think about staying in this hotel . Nice shower , nice bed , clean
Exquisite design. Quiet place but in the centre of the city - comfortable feeling at night especially after busy and noisy day. Cheerful, attentive and friendly personnel. Not great choice for breakfast - I missed usual vegetables, sausages, bacon, omelet.
Staff were excellent, hotel was comfortable and all in all our stay was a very pleasant experience
Clean, new, luxuries, and design Location besides the train station is not perfect, but there is no train traffic.
Best staffs for all my travels. I leaved my jacket in the room. However, they send it to other city by train. And they have good chef, too. And the night window view is best. So melancholy and romantic.
The hotel was run in a wholly professional manner; staff was well-trained, well-informed, courteous and helpful. The facilities were modern and well-maintained. Underground garage was poorly designed; difficult to maneuver even small vehicles into and out of spaces. Also, the hotel was almost impossible to find. GPS/navigatore systems have not yet registered the official address (the hotel is fairly new), and the swirling coils of local roads (all unnamed) makes the hotel almost impossible to locate, especially at night
Excellent value as a base, on outskirts of city, for touring south east Sicily. Modern hotel with clean and spacious room and en suite, good reception facilities and pleasant dining room. Extensive buffet breakfast and four course dinner menu was very enjoyable and great value.
Comfortable, very tidy, formal hotel. Very good choice for the price we paid. As advertised. The free wifi internet login system might be simpler, but this is just a minor detail.
Very comfortable bedroom and bathroom, good breakfast. Reception area is comfortable and stylish. The hotel is in town but only just, there isn't a bus service to the centre of town and the train is about 2 miles. Nice hotel but the surrounding unfinished blocks spoil the view somewhat.
hotel is in downtown, 20 min walk from bus terminal, clean and coisy room, family environment, very helpful people, made enquiry for me as to bus schedule. i got my breakfast in the bed.. thanks a lot. rooms are very close to one another and when a guest arrives late at night, one can hear talking and walking up staircase and opening/closing doors.
Food very good(lunch and dinner), A nice quiet place, large room, whirlpool, characterisric building. very little choice for breakfast, staf a little strange, airconditioning problemen, not a real shower
Staff was always very friendly, helpfull, contained and, attentive at the same time. Facilities and furnishing in room and public areas were all very aesthetic and elegant. Clean and tidy at all times. It is well situated to visit all the lovely Barock places like Modica, Noto, Ragusa etc. In this time of the year it was a bit lonesome with only a few other guests. You need to like the remoteness of the hotel in the middle of a farming area. You definitely need a car to reach Modica within 15 minutes.
Helpful staff ,lovely building, food good and reasonably priced .
The restaurant was good and so was the pool.
The location - it is right in the center of the town. Situated in a beautiful baroque epoque palace. The spa is located in ex horse barn under the palace caved in the cliff. It is very difficult to find a parking close to the hotel as there is no hotel's parking. The room we were given was quite small and there was a bad odour. No elevator.
The staff were very helpful and very pleasant. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The location was excellent. Only complaint I have is on the website it states the hotel has parking and this is not correct. I did mention this to the staff and they were going to amend the details.
Great location and beautifully designed and refurbished hotel. Being such a small hotel, spa was also a great facility. Not the most comfortable beds
Good location. Convenient parking. Bad airco.
Treated like royalty at this splendid, but intimate and charming hotel. This is the best overall hotel we have ever enjoyed,. The staff could not have been more courteous. You must dine in the hotel's lavishly decorated dining rooms. You will be specially cared for.
Both the location (across the beautiful church) and the interior are superb. The staff is very kind and helpful. A real quiet place to relax. Without a car, the hotel is a little far away from the dining area of the town. Although the quality of the breakfast is superb, I expect more than an American breakfast in a 5 stars hotel.
The owners were very unfriendly and watched every move you made like you were thieves. Poor location. Far away from lower Modica . Not at all handicap friendly.
The hotel and the staff exude class. A magic place to stay in a magic city and region of Sicily.
Everything about the hotel was enjoyable: a beautiful old villa, welcoming and efficient staff and an equisite reataurant. If only there were more hotels like this!
beatifull except attic rooms.very good breakfast and location Modica Alta. Attic rooms not so good than the others, but there are moderate.
Very friendly and competent staff. We were given an upgrade in the annex and liked the room bery much indeed. The food in the restaurant in the annex was superb. Highly recommended
As luxurious as any Four Seasons, Park Hyatt or the Ritz Carlton in London but at a astonishingly low price (80 euros/night in August). The staff, the real distinguishing factor between a 4 and 5 star hotel, were more helpful than anyone could hope for. La Gazza Ladra was one of the most creative restaurants I have been to in italy and deserves its michelin star. Just know that the hotel is in the western part of town up the hill, so you definitely need a car or to get in early enough to get a taxi. That said, Patricia worked a miracle for me and got one of the La Gazza Ladra waiters to pick me up late at night.
the staff was incredible helpful, the best of all our trip!!!!!
This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Lovely building, beautifully furnished, outstanding customer care, choice of 2 excellent restaurants. They really make you feel wanted and in my view is incredible value for money. Nothing
The meals (breakfast and dinner) were very good. Very pleasant room (good idea to have a coffee machine too).
Very friendly staff and very close to the old section of Ragusa. Hotel Car Park just under hotel as well. Were able to have toast which is a rare thing in Italy.
friendly staff, convenient parking garage
Well situated. Staff very competent and friendly. It was one of the best hotels that we were in Sicily. The price was excellent. They have their own parking (very usuful in Ragusa).
Helpful receptionist. The hotel is furnished to a good standard and rooms are spacious, clean, and reasonably comfortable. English channel TV. It is not too difficult to walk to, and around, the old town from the hotel. Although car parking was secure the 8Euro fee was not appreciated.
the hotel was ok to find, and parking in the garage under the building was great well worth the 8 euro. We walked to the old quarter (Ilba) very pleasant but lots of steps then caught the bus back to hotel. only down side not many nice restaurants close by so on 1st night we ate at the hotel and it was the worst meal we have had and slow service.Staff very nice, friendly and helpful Hotel restaurant food for dinner was not vey nice
Attentive and friendly service
Its location was in the centre of ragusa. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok. The room design was a bit eighties, staying in the room was a bit like being in a Duran Duran video, but the comfort was fine. Also there was no access to the internet if you didnt have a laptop with you.
Great location - in the shopping area, near old town. Very helpful staff. Nice modern and comftortable rooms. Garage in the basement was also very convenient.
rooms were large and beds very comfortable. restaurant food was poor. breakfast was fair
Room was converted from former grand town house and had plenty of character. Strange layout. The hotel was separate from reception area, which was not manned overnight, and therefore gave rise to anxiety about security.
We lucked out and paid a great low season rate for essentially their penthouse room -- which was mod, spacious, and loft-like. I'm not sure what this room goes for in summer, but we felt like we had every luxury for a bargain price. No breakfast on site when we were there, but they gave us vouchers to some great local caffes and pasticcerie. And the location and views were great, too.
Hotel in an old Italian building with rooms with functional and somehow cold modern design. Hotel located in the upper Town, so needs to walk or take the car to visit the historical Ragusa - can be dealt with. Though hotel still under works when we stayed. Nice typical trattoria 50 meters down the street.
very central, parking just outside, beautiful renovation, extremely helpful staff, they even let us use their own computer.good breakfast. could use an elevator
Superb location in Ragusa. Breakfast at the Pasticceria was very nice too! Staff were very friendly. Room was lovely and spacious with all mod cons.
Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent central location, delicious breakfast in the "pasticceria" across the street.
Good hotel, with good rooms and a nice location. The staff was helpful. For the price I got, it was an unbeatable affair
The staff were very helpful and pleasant, perhaps only one receptionist was less fluent in english to appear reluctant - the others were all excellent. The room was very clean and tidy and also well maintained. The room was larger than average and the facilities good. The views over the city are fantastic. Noise levels and other disturbance was generally low and a relaxed atmosphere prevails. Breakfast is adjacent at a fantastic caffe with the most delightful selection of foods. Without undue fuss and through good design and staff, the hotel makes guests feel both welcome and abit special too. City centre parking places can be abit of a challenge.as in any city.
There was no breakfast inside of the hotel but they gave us a voucher and we could eat and drink whatever we wanted at the local bar in front of the hotel. The quality was excellent. Our room was very stylish and big bathroom. You won't believe that there were real flowers in a vase in the room!!! There is no lift but the staircase is big enough to carry your bags. The hotel is not in the Ragusa-Ibla and you will need to walk (and staircases!) for 15-20 mins but it's really nice view to get there.
excellent breakfast at pasticcheria across the street
A unique and historical atmosphere, very friendly, superb food. A minor detail: they have a problem with too many flies by the pool.
The service was wonderful - the reception staff being incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is just beautiful. We stayed in one of the cottages, the privace of which is incomprable. There isn't one negative comment to make
I really liked the warm welcome we received and also the attention to detail was wonderful. Beautiful rooms and great food. Peaceful, lovely grounds and very relaxing.
Quiet country setting. Overpriced restaurant. All wines less than 40 Euros - "not available". Did not have hot water for one hour. Response of Front Desk Manager to Internet issues - "not our problem"
Excellent breakfast. Swimming pool was not clean when we were there. We stayed one night for dinner but were very disappointed with the service. It really did not approach the standard of any of the 5 star hotels that I have ever stayed at in Europe and the USA.
Beautiful facility I A bit too far from RAgusa
An intersting historic property Poor choice of menus at dinner. Only 2 appetizers and one fish course and a lamb stew for outrageous prices.17 Euros for appetizera and 34 Eoros for mains.Sommelier unable to explain anything about the wines in English although 22 of the 24 guests were English speaking. Unable to lock our door. Telephones were out of order. Towels not changed daily. No instructions on how tv worked. Dissapointing
