Comfortable bed and pillows, nice shower with plenty of hot water. Insufficient access to electrical outlets.
Close to the historic city center. Nice, clean, real 4* hotel. no parking around the hotel (not even for motorbikes).
The hotel is close to the Historic old town and the Cruise Liners terminal and is within walking distance from the main shopping centre. The Hotel personnel was very helpful. The price is a bit on the high side in certain periods.
The staff, location, facilities were good and the price None
The hotel was at the center of the city and within walking distance from all the main attractions (old city, seafront) and shopping area. My room was large and very clean. The breakfast was good as well. If you are travelling by car you can book a parking space at the hotel. You need to pay extra but it is worth it since finding a free space in Bari is very difficult !
This was a very lovely hotel!! Very comfortable bed and pillows and the bathroon and main room were very roomy and beautiful. The desk people were extremely friendly and helpful too!! The breakfast room was lovely as well and the food was wonderful.
Very nice Hotel just next to the old town and the promenade. It's an old style, elegant hotel, although not new, so the furniture and the building. It is far from luxurious, but still very nice. The breakfast is nice, I loved their bruschetta! I prefer the rooms looking on the street, instead of the coutryard where the air conditioning stuff is, although the first room we got looked a little bit better, than the one that looking on the street. You must try panino (bread) packed with ham (or mortadella) and grana or mozzarella cheese, that you get in almost all, even small supermarkets. Very nice to grab one while walking in the old town! The bus from the Airport (Tempesta) stops just 2-300m from the hotel (4.15€/person one way). At the breakfast you get only two kind of meat (mortadella and ham), and there is no prosciutto crudo (raw ham) and grana (hard cheese), two absolute must-haves in Italy. At some restaurants they charge you 1-3€ service fee per person.
Good location and good sized rooms
Breakfast was geat!!
The hotel room was comfortable and clean. It is very difficult to find, as all the locals know it by a different name. It is called "The Palace" with the locals. It is in between the port and the train station, so it takes a bit of a walk to reach it to/from either location (if you know where you're going).
breakfast and kindness of the staff wall paper old fashion....
Convenient location for old city and train station. Good breakfast Very helpful staff
Very Bad. Mr Pietro didn't Accepted our reservation by call with our Guest Card. Booking Service & Transparent about prices.
The hotel staff including receptionists were very kind and had very good hospitality to take care of us. Thank you. The View through window from the room facing the railway station was not so fantastic.
garden hoetl staff`, decaration of the room, internet access,
Excellent hotel!!! We asked for a triple room and we got a room the size of a small apprtment! The garden and Villa Romanazzi were amazing!!!I Strongly recomend it!
A good hotel near the centre of Bari. Nice gardens and rooms are very functional. You can walk to the town centre in 20-25mins. Plenty of parking available (free of charge) & breakfast looked really good. Service isn't one of the strengths of the hotel and we felt that staff weren't particularly friendly or helpful (for example we only had one towel in our room and when we called reception to get some more towels, nothing happened for 30mins. We then went to reception and found out that they hadn't even started to look for some room service and we had to wait another 20mins to get some towels - not exactly our understanding of good service...). Equally, staff seemed to chat amongst themselves a lot rather than attending to guests who were waiting at reception. But overall the hotel provides good value for money we felt.
The hotel's grounds were lovely, as were there reception and lobby area. This hotel is a 20 min walk from the train station and is a 30 min walk from the city main. It has good staff and adequate rooms. It offers a very good breakfast and the breakfast staff were extremely friendly. The staff were also quite accommodating to us, in allowing us to keep our luggage at the hotel, while we explored the city, prior to boarding a ferry to Bari. We were even able to remain in the pleasant lobby area for a few hours prior to the ferry (at 11pm!), which was better then wandering aimlessly around the city. This hotel was quite far from the station and the city. It is situated on the "other" side of the tracks, to the city, and the surrounding shops and facilities reflect this. The rooms were below par for a 4 star hotel- no tea/coffee facilities, no free wifi, poor standard of bed and bedding. Our room was quite odd (we're not sure if it was because of the discounted rate?) but it felt like a converted storage room. There are no decent cafes or restaurants near the hotel, you would have to walk into the city to find these. The restaurant looked lovely but was quite expensive, as was room service. This is a good hotel for one or two nights between further travels, but I wouldn't choose it if Bari was your main destination.
Even though I showed the booking confirmation, which clearly written that wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge. They insist us that booking company's mistake and request us to pay if we want to use it. They should have the generousity to honor the booking confirmation and make settlement later with booking company for their discrepancy.
Hotel has good location in the city and nice envronment. 1. First impesion: afternoon ag 13 we had not free room and personal did not tell: seat down for a coffé, after 30 minutes you will have free room. 2. Your web site has not orientation plan how to get there from railway station. 3. I did not like hotels with full shower of water. 4. I had not in the room informtion about working time of restaurant, caffé and other services. 5. Such dirty swiming pool I did not see long time. 6. I bought room without breakfast, because your web side is not clear. Normaly I am buying room iclude breakfat. The first moment in your restaurant was for me shocking! Do you like more? My professional orientation is quality of services.
very large, comfortable rooms.Beautiful surroundings inside a private Park, free safe parking, not far from the Port. Arrived very late at night very tired and asked not to be disturbed in the morning.Unfortunately,at 8.30 they started to make repairs in the room just over ours.Very noisy, lost all our sleep!
Very relaxed, coffortable, good value. Gardens plesant, interesting design and the breakfast was very good The location - we felt very uncomfortable in the streets around the hotel and decided to eat at the hotel rather than to venture out to find somewhere to eat at night.
Close to the airport with no plane noise, somehow! Very nice and comfortable rooms with plenty of room to spread out your luggage and a great pool! The spa services also looked great although we didn't use them. I chose this hotel because of the airport shuttle but was surprised when it cost 10Euro. As close as they were I expected no charge because that is standard in U.S. I should have asked in advance since it wasn't on the English website.
Room was spacious, clean, quiet, air conditioning worked well, good shower / toilet facilities. Good shuttle service. Excellent breakfast!
Good hotel, but little too far for the old city experience.
Nice hotel and very kind staff
Staff were very nice and friendly Breakfast could have been more Eruropeanised
Next to the motorway. No Swimming Pool.
Clean and accomidating. Some of the staff spoke English so that was helpful traveling from America. Offered a shuttle that took you where you needed to go for a reasonable price. Nothing really in walking distance for you to go to. A car would be needed or the shuttle service.
The hotel itself was great, very clean, nicely furnished, little extras in the bathroom and friendly, helpful, professional staff. Comfortable bed, Sky TV, nice breakfast and good coffee. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was it was in the middle of nowhere and an expensive taxi ride from Bari ferry port. I used the hotel shuttle service in the morning to go to the train station, but if there was a shuttle service at night that picked up guests from the port/station (which I was told when I rang there wasn't, but now I'm looking at other reviews, they say there was, must have been lost in translation when I rang), it would make it a perfect place to stay.
staff was amazing and more than accomodating location on the highway was not the most convenient... although they did offer shuttle service.
This hotel and its staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable. I wrote letters to the management and personal thank-yous to the staff because I was so touched at their attention and service. It may be a little off the beaten track but it is worth the effort!
staff friendly and helpful an easy drive from Bari but still 15 minutes from the ring road
Uncomfortable beds. Very difficult to get to following directions based on booking.com site.
clean, nice and very well kept, family oriented
The hotel staff was friendly and recommended a wonderful restaurant for dinner. The hotel looked beautiful with spacious surroundings. The breakfast was good with an excellent view of the sea. On the internet it claimed a kids playground and swimming pool, we didn't see the playground and the pool was closed to the public. We thought it would have some beach frontage but was only concrete with tables and then rocks to the water, which would have been nice to know beforehand.
Location wise little away from downtown city. But excellent facilities. Little far from downtown. Swimming pool was not available for use.
Perfect Hotel. Location not central. Taxi = 12 euro to the centre.
The room was very clean; internet in the lobby ok. As a general remark: I would have preferred a curtain (or similar) between the bathroom and the sleeping room. Of course having single occupancy it did not eally matter.
Modern, clean, secured car park Low water pressure
it was o.k
The staff were very helpful, the hotel served a good range of food for breakfast, and the location was on the coast and very relaxing N A
The sea is just under the windows. The staff is qualified and ready to answer any your question. The hotel environment is quiet and relaxing.
Location right on water
Very pleasant staff. Very clean . Nice pool Not much to do in the surrounding area. Fine as an overnight stay
breakfast the reception, one person was very friendly, the other person was a bit "cool".
To be honest we didn't like it at all. The staff wasn't good at all. The service very unpleasant. To swim in the pool, you should wear a rubber cap they sell to you! We had a very uncomfortable night because of a gas leakage started in our room's refrigerator. Was 03.00 o'clock in the morning.
Room was large, clean if a bit Spartan. Nicely located on the long promenade, 20 minute stroll to the port area. Parking facilities. Good Italian style breakfast, with plenty of fruit, juices, coissants etc. Excellent restaurant. We paid c. 60 euro for two course meal with wine, brandy and coffee for two, with additional complimentary courses. There are a few other restaurants within a 20 mins stroll. Large swimming pool (must wear swim cap) with plenty of sun beds. Staff were helpful, even though little English is spoken in this region. Weather in August was excellent but hot (30C plus). Air conditioned rooms. The hotel's lido is decking on rocks and requires (hefty) daily entrance charges. No sandy beaches in this region. Bisceglie is not the best town for restaurants. Trani (7km drive away) is much prettier and has many restaurants (recommend Carpe Diem in a side street leading to the port area), so you need to hire a car. Shower cubicle was small.
facile accessibilità, buona posizione
It ws ok Parking difficult, not made welcome
Location It was a little old and worn.
Nice hotel very close to the train station.
Location was good. No internet connection for 3 nights and the second day morning the hotel staff told me that there is no internet in all Bari, but it was a lie which I cannot appreciate...Although I am an engineer, I could not have the air-conditioner working at all nights, but I did not ask the hotel staff about it...
The staff was very helpful. Location was also excelent. They have on the site "free wi-fi internet". I stayed there for 3 days and it never worked properly.
Very central and convenient, had everything I needed
Nice People, next to the railway station, modern Breakfast was not really convincingly, no fresh fruitsjuices par exemple
The accomodations are good and the staff was very honest to solve a problem in my booking. Due this I really recommend this hotel.
actually iam arrived at 10:00pm and ileft in early morning,,.the hotel close to train station. breakfast very pooooor
Friendly staff .Clean room. Few facilities around. Close to train station and easy access to airport transportation. Free internet (reasonable quality). Could be cheaper.
Nice and close to the train station The restaurant really isn't worth it
Accessibility to Bari Palese Airport - just a short 10-15 minute drive. The airport provided a transfer service for only 5 Euros each way. Hotel staff friendly, hotel clean and seemed very popular.
location, breakfast extra charge for using the hotel beach in the summer...6 euros per day...
We liked the friendliness of all the hotel staff. Nothing.
nice beach nothing
Very comfortable. Location good. Airport collection/delivery service very handy. Catering management by Basil Fawlty. Absolutely chaotic.
Very pleasant staff. Small but friendly bar. Good breakfast. We were eaten alive round the pool so moved to the sea front where all the chairs had been removed (challenge of being at the end of the season) Found the evening set meal disappointing.
The hotel in genearal was acceptable. The cost of our evening meal, which had to be taken in the hotel as there are no places to eat locally at 21.30, was way too high. Two courses and no wine €56.00
Nothing Nothing Nothing Nothing Nothing Nothing Nothing Nothing Nothing Nothing Nothing Nothing Nothing Nothing Nothing The awful menu (nothing to eat except seafood), poor accomodation (WC - old and bidet not working), bad location (far from city)
The location was ok, they obviously have beach facilities in the summer (which they charge extra for) but were not available in September when we were there. It looked lifeless and they could have included some activity. It is a large set up but limited facilities available. Internet did not work. Laundry service was very expensive. The staff were very ignorant and reallu avoided assisting us however we were persistent and still had to stand waiting at reception each time we had a question. Each staff member was trying to avoid serving non Italian speaking guests, it was very obvious. When in tourism a grasp of many launguages is necessary especiallyparticularly English as it is spoken in many countries.
Obligatory club card that hasn't been mentioned (+6 euros per person). Even If I chose this hotel for the location-near the airport-combined with a good price there wasn't any transportation except the shuttle bus which has charged us 5 euros per person.
quite near airport nice pool looked better online Breakfast was really awful. A few crumbs if you were lucky. The hotel was expensive for a basic room over looking a railway line and a bit of dry bread for breakfast. This is Italy-should do wonderful ham, bread, cheeses, coffee!
hotel is nice, good location from the airport too close to railway, and you can hear train passing.
Good breakfast. Beautifull view. The room was big and comfortable. In Puglia (the region where the hotel is) the people are nice and very helpfull, including the hotel's staff. There's nice sandy beach in Bari and rocky beach in Giovinazzo. Very good for businessmen, or for tourists with car. The pool is small, and it was out of order when we were there. There's no way to the beach from the hotel. You have to go through on a little hole on a wall, and then a dirty 'jungel'. The beach is very dirty, it's not for swimming, but the view is very nice from the hotel. Not good for tourists without car.
We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel President. The staff was very friendly and were ready to accommodate if at all possible. The staff provided myself with a map of restaurants in the area.
Rooms cleaned daily. Friendly Staff. Good Breakfast. Availibilty of courtsey bus. Out of the way location.
Modern building, nice rooms with good air conditioning and balcony, has a good size car park and of course a swiming pool.Nice view of the sea from the breakfast room. staff very pleasent Hotel operates a schuttle bus to the airport and nearby towns. Do not stay in this Hotel unless you have a car, while the nearest village Giovinazzo is about 2.5 kilometres the road is busy and has no footpaths too dangerous to walk especially at night. If you arrive at the Hotel on a Sunday the restaurant is closed and a return taxi trip to Giovinazzo could cost 40 euro. Prices are very reasonable in Pughlia however taxis are the exception.
Good value for money, very polite staff The hotel is located too close to the railway, which is annoing - you can't open the window, because the passing high speed trains wouldn't allow you to sleep.
difficult to find as we arrived at night and directions were useless
Checked in at 6pm. Hotel is very bad at responding to emails so there was confusion about the free shuttle from airport. At 11:30pm, upon returning to our room, the foul odor coming from the room was unexplainable. The whole corner of that wing smelt bad. The reception seemed unfazed about it. Gave us another room but not similar to what we had so my two sons had to sleep in one room while my husband was in another and my daughter and I were in another. The front desk was very inexperienced, or just didn't care. The shower curtain in our room was dirty and smelt. Nothing was done about it. Housekeeping didn't leave us an extra roll of toilet paper and we had to call for it early in the morning and were asked to wait until 8am. And the train that runs by every 10min sounds like an earthquake!
Pool Rooms were really disgusting. carpeting was obviously stained from pet soils. the hotel is a non smoking hotel yet my first room assigned smelled like smoke. had to practically beg the front desk for a room change despite the fact that my son has a heart condition and couldn't be exposed to those conditions. the staff was totally unaccomodating and difficult to deal with. didn't like that I had to call the front desk to regulate room temperature which I didn't know until 3am my first night after being hot all night. the thermostat appeared to be working but the air never went on until the front desk allowed it.
