There was something wrong between Kayak and Thrifty and when we got there to get our car they did not have any car matching the description and they charged us more to get a better car. And the insurance that we got from your website together with the car rental was NOT accepted!!! Worst experience car rental ever9.6 Wonderful

Cons:
There wasn't anyone at the to arrange a shuttle or anything. Worst of all, when I manage to make an international call from Uruguay to US from my cell, the company representative was completely useless and offered me to call a local number and deal with it myself ;( Ended up getting a car from Europ8.4 Very good

Pick up time was changed by phone but was never relayed to the pick up desk, which made pick up delay in over one hour.Cons:

Cons:
They didn't have the van I reserved and I had to get 2 cars and we had to ride with the luggage inside the cars because it did t fit. It was horrible. The cars where super dirty also.2.0 Poor

Cons:
I bought the insurance I was offered during the booking process. Since I had that covered, I asked Thrifty NOT to add any insurance on the contract. Since they don't trust any other insurance policy "other than the ones they sell", they request that I provide a credit card where they can BLOCK 7,500 USD (That is seven thousand five hundred dollars!) UN-BELIEVABLE!Dollar

Despite my showing up at the correct time + place on the reservation, the business was completely closed. Calling Dollar was of no help as there was no one around to open up the business. I ended up having to travel to the airport at my own expense to rent a vehicle. Once there, I did not choose Dollar.8.0 Very good

Pros:
nothing!! I did not rent it because my credit card was to new for them!! They also required to hold of $1,600.00 in case of something happened to the card when other companies required just $ 800.00 for better cards. Their office is located outside the airport they give you a ride to take the car but this take extra time. THEY NEED TO UPDATE THEIR SISTEM TO WORK WITH CREDIT CARDS.7.6 Good

I hired a golf or similar. Arriving at the car rental I was warned that they do not work with golf or similar and that the website kayak was responsible for the incorrect information. I was provided a nissan versa, car much cheaper than golf.6.8 Okay

They opened on a Saturday right on time and handled the check-out efficiently, as well as friendly. The return was just as easy. I was briefed on key features of the car as well. The size was perfect.Cons:
The car operated well, with no problems on all sorts of roads, but could have been more fuel efficient. I missed some of the comfort extras, like better seats and cruise control, which are often offered in this same class of car, but perhaps not in Uruguay.3.2 Poor

Didn't like much other than the price.Cons:
Thought I was getting a deal for the CSR and the money, but then they pulled up for me a Renault Logan, and had an Avis sticker on it vs Budget. That said it was as basic a car as I have seen in a long time. The price was cheap given the week and peak demand. But, it was in poor condition, barely made it up hills, had a notchy clutch, no windshield wiper fluid, and the trunk seal came off upon trying to remove my first piece of luggage. Rental was around 360 for 8-9 days which was quite good, as I was not willing to pay 12-1500+ for a few other rentals, but I would gladly have paid 2-300 more for something better....but was told there were no other options. In general, worst car rental and experience I have ever had9.6 Wonderful
