Pros: Owners were timely, kind and friendly and helpful. English is good if your spanish is not. Very much off the beaten path.
Cons: Room did not match photos of site, was cold and distant from city. Place may have been ok for someone who wants to veg and enjoy a suburban neighborhood.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ana and José made us feel immediately at home. The furnishings are lovely, lots of interesting paintings etc. Big bathroom and pretty garden with hummingbirds! Wonderful coffee and excellent home made cake and jam. The barrio is muy simpático and right next to the wonderful Parque del Prado. Huge number of buses to every possible part of Montevideo. Very sad to leave
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at the “Cane B&B”, we felt we got to experience, the real Uruguay. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They speak good English and offered lots of tips about great places to visit and eat. The B&B is very clean and tidy, it has an excellent WIFI. The B&B is very peaceful, breakfast is simple but satisfying, the owners make homemade cakes nearly every day (YUM!). The location is good, near the Botanical Gardens and the neighborhood is safe. We would strongly recommend a stay at the Cane B&B, great value for money and a great experience.
Cons: Our tip for transport to and from the airport, is to use UBER, as the transport they supply is a little expensive but reliable.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located in a residential place of Montevideo, very near the Montevideo Shopping Center and the World Trade Center. It is a quiet area that helps you relax. Every member of the hotel (staff member) was very kind and pleased to serve us during our stay, specially Gaston, one of the waiters of the restaurant. The food of the restaurant (breakfast, lunch or dinner) was really, really good, competing very well with prices from other nearby restaurants. Besides that, the pool and the jacuzzi made us forget of the rainy and cold days of the Uruguayan winter. Finally, it is important to mention that the pillows and beds were very comfortable. Another great thing was the possibility that we had to rent a bike and take a trip along the "Rambla". It is also important to mention that around the hotel there are several good restaurants, such as la Fonda del Puertito: a very good place to enjoy meat and pasta with Caruso sauce. In conclusion, everyone in the hotel is friendly, the hotel is beautiful, coazy, clean and very new. In addition, it is in a very silent and calmed area of Montevideo. Nevertheless if you walk some meters you have several restaurants or the rambla in front of La Plata River. I surely recommend it!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We always stay here. It's clean, pleasant, and comfortable. It's in a quiet neighbourhood with all the amenities, yet within easy reach of the city centre by bus or taxi, and not too far from the airport. If you have a car, it is really convenient as you don't need to drive deep into the city.
Cons: The A/C is a bit noisy.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was our third visit. We like the place. This time we arrived at 10.30 AM and were given our room after only 10 minutes' wait, which was brilliant as we'd just flown 17 hours.
9.6 Excellent

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is modern with lovely decor and a small boutique scale. I would recommend people to stay here. It is near some good restaurants and the restaurant lounge area of the hotel is very pleasant.
Cons: The jacuzzi was dirty but improved after we complained. There seemed to be confusion over replacing towels. These things are minor and our overall impression was good.

Cons: There were no tea or coffee facilities in the room. The neighbourhood is a little quiet if your looking for nightlife and excitement, but if you like the peace and quiet and beautiful old world feel, then the hotel is great.

Pros: For my travel purposes it has an excellent location, near restaurants, a shopping center and main streets. Breakfast buffet included, clean rooms, hot water, safe box, pretty hotel. It is a cost worthy hotel option.
Cons: Overall the breakfast was good, but if you stay several days (like I did), you get bored of the same things every day, so it would be good if the hotel change the breakfast buffet menu at least every 2 days.

Pros: Great location, 3 min by foot the the Tres Cruces Terminal. My 6-bed dorm room had a toilet, pretty nice. English spoken, friendly staff. A cheap option for EXTRA expensive Montevideo... the city looks like war ended yesterday
Cons: Too loud at night, common rooms are right next to the dorm rooms’s thin doors. Staff doesn’t care about it. Only one plug next to each bed, that’s used for the lamp... how can I charge anything then? But generally a nice place, book if because it’s really on a nice spot.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: I had a great time at this hostel. The staff were super friendly, the breakfast was simple but completely adequate for the price, and the place was very clean.
Cons: It’s not an extremely social hostel. There are a lot of long-term guests here and, naturally, they’re not into making new friends all the time. A great way to meet locals though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this place was great. The staff was incredibly welcoming, the bed was comfy, they building is beautiful, they clean the floors every day, etc. great location near downtown- with just a quick Uber to the Tres Cruces bus station. Spacious lockers in the rooms and they even let me use a locker for my laptop while I walked around the city before a late checkout. No complaints.
Cons: I really have to try to come up with a negative for this property. The only thing I could think of to improve the room would be a privacy curtain on the bed- but that’s not completely necessary. The hostel is 10/10.

The staff was amazing and so friendly, prompt to give you tips and help in your needs, even after I had checked out. The neighborhood is fascinating, close to the Rambla and ain't too far from old downtown.
Cons: There are few spaces were we can hang the wet towels after shower, which was a bit annoying as my towel wasn't dry enough in the next shower I took.

Pros: Friendly service.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The family is very nice and friendly! We got a very warm welcome. They took their time to sit with us. We are into wine and they have great recommendations and contacts. Absolutely recommend to stay here. The breakfast was also very good. In addition, enjoy the wonderful garden!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I liked the family. Juan and his wife are very friendly and helpful. Their animals are a reflection of them. The dog "GREY" is a teddy-bear. I liked the bedding a lot. In the winter the warm blankets were SO appreciated. Their yard is beautiful! I loved their wood work and their garden. Lots of nice touches.
Cons: For the price, the breakfast could have some additional items. We received toast and cheese and jams. I think with items like oatmeal, or eggs, or fruits, then it would be more in line with the price. I also did not like the giant spider in our room. It was like a tarantula. In Uruguay they call them wolf spider, but either way, it freaked my family out!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The family who run Bidieen Inn couldn’t do enough, they were very accommodating and helpful. They also sent a WhatsApp message in advance to make sure I had all details available.
Cons: Nothing negative comes to mind!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners went far above and beyond expectations. I was a difficult guest with Very heavy luggage, Forgot soap and shampoo, Needed electricity converter, Didn’t speak Spanish, Arrived in the middle of the night, And, didn’t understand that payment needed to be in cash. They solved all of my problems with a sweet helpful smile, and I felt like family because I was treated so kindly!
Cons: Nothing. I liked everything. The huge dog, Gray, and cats, Swing chairs in the park-like yard with the soft night lighting, Excellent coffee and fresh orange juice in the mornings, Claudia, the sweet and helpful cleaning lady, Antiques and beautiful decor, Quiet room, And I always felt completely safe.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful couple and a very good breakfast. Was clean und nicely furnished and quiet.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Bethroom and mattress are comfortable. You can see Netflix and YouTube. WiFi is good and works.
Cons: The bathroom you have to share with 5 other rooms isn't acceptable. It's ok for young people or back packer. It's ok for one night to get easy to airport (5-8 min). Coffee at brackfast wasn't good and cold. Orange juice and the great are ok. $45 for one night is overpriced. Location isn't really good but as far as I can see ok. Not a hood so far.

Pros: We had a superior room on the 11 floor and it was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is very good and you can have eggs/bacon/omelets made to order. We had a lovely view of the sea from our room and a huge outdoor balcony.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is on the waterfront. Great view! It's in a safe, upscale residential area with shops, restaurants, and a shopping mall nearby. Public transportation is available to go downtown in 20 min. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. We appreciated their flexibility when we asked to check out an hour later because we were doing a city tour.
Cons: There was only one electrical outlet for US electronics next to the desk. A couple more outlets next to the bed would be great to charge phones at night.

Pros: The breakfast was great and kosher which was amazing for us and make us such easy life, The stuff were kind and helpful, as we arrived they gave us instructions about the city. The room was clean and warm the bath looked a little old but the toilet were clean. We enjoyed our stay and we would definitely comeback.
Cons: It's a little far from the center, The garage was very small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very big and confortable room. Nice alocation.
Cons: THe hotel is Kosher so in the breakfast there are no sausages
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent, but coffee a bit weak. Good choices on the buffet and I loved the large size room with sink and frig Good proximity to beach area, but I was not prepared for the overcrowding of Pocitos with apartments!
Cons: Having to pay $10 day to park my rented car in their garage! Coffee too weak and I rec a healthier option other than corn flakes and fatty granola. Bran flakes or more multigrain options? No need to heat a SWIMMING POOL to almost 90 degrees if its for swimming and not just lounging and hanging out. Bacteria thrive in hot pools! Disappointed that the pool was too hot for swimming; it was the temp of a jacuzzi!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is extremely nice and helpful. Professional manager. Clean and tidy.
Cons: This is not a hotel for dogs, eventhough its advertized as one. Once they saw my dog, they pulled out 'the rules'; not allowing us (my dog and myself) to enter or exit through the front door, we can only use the GARAGE. Charged me $25 extra per night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff! Clean rooms. Helped us with our car. Safe to walk around. Mall and restaurant are about a 10-15 min walk. Cabs and Ubers are super cheap.
Cons: Because it’s a Kosher place, they have cheese but no meats.

Pros: It has a good lounge area. Location is good, 15-20min walk from the port.

Cons: No late check out and I stay there because of a wedding
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff was very kind
Cons: There were several things that didn’t work properly in the room such as lights and the air conditioner. Also, the room service menu and the frigobar prices were not in the room, so I had to ask for them
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We chose this location to unwind and escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Great room, even though the bed were 2 single beds tie wrapped together. We lounged with drinks and snacks by the poolside with the caring staff attending to our needs. The receptionists were very helpful when booking tours and even finding a dentist.
Cons: The place is very isolated. There is nothing more to do than the local chapel where couples get married. The Jacksonville square was mostly closed during our visit. Dining at the hotel restaurant was a bit disappointing after the great breakfast and lunch. But an Uber can pick you up fairly quickly to visit downtown.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location is amazing. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Lovely grounds, plenty to do....bike, walk...
Cons: Maintenance budget seems to be under pressure. Missing tiles, noisy aircon, bed lights non functioning/dangerous, bad paint, single beds are soooo small…..pool untidy…… breakfast good, other meals enthusiastic but not up to menu !
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff is very attentious. The site is beautiful, as if you were in a farm. The church next to the hotel is gorgeous. Excellent breakfast.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Not included.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Happy staff
Cons: Booking didn’t show all the rooms available. We stayed very far from our kid’s room, 9 floor of diference and they could have stayed in our room. Our friends payed the same amount for double of time and better installations and rights. I think the system is not personal. Maybe this is the problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room, the customer service and the people very kind
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Cons: The breakfast was not included because I booked thru booking.com. I had to pay $20 US each time. When I book from their site, breakfast is included for the same price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I enjoyed the facilities and the friendliness of your staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was located in a great part of town. Some nice restaurants within walking distances. Greeted by friendly staff who spoke both Spanish and English fluently. The room was ready ahead of time and we loved that. The room was large and very comfortable. Great shower, the gym was great with all modern machines and a large stretch area. The level connecting you to the shopping mall is really handy.
Cons: We wouldn't recommend the restaurant is the hotel for dinner. But the bar snacks were great. Dinner should be of higher standard for a Sheraton.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great facility for business meetings.
Cons: Room should have a fridge stocked with water and drinks
4.6 Okay
Cons: Air con was faulty . Changed our room but second room had broken toilet seat and no extractor fan in bathroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast good but expensive. Location perfect. Pool nice
Cons: No outside space
9.1 Excellent
Pros: I'd have to mention the view... gorgeous view of the bay and sunrise. The room was superb and the bed very comfortable. There was an excellent breakfast too.
Cons: The bathroom was very well suited but there was no disposable comb or a brush. We were on a emergency stay and we didn't have those on us. No toothpaste or toothbrush either. It'd be nice to have some disposable ones just in case.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Huge hotel in the main city square. Well located. Very confortable. The 25 floors include a large conventional center, rooms for smaller events and even a indoor pool. Great breakfast in the 25th with great view of city.
Cons: There would be no complaints, however, in our two last nights, a strong smell of cigarrete smoke annoyed us a lot. We complaint in the front desk. They sent someone to open the windows (ok) but the problem was not solved. It seems that if someone smokes in a nearby room, you will be annoyed by it. They told us there would be a U$ 100 fine per day for smokers. But it seems they could not catch this one.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: The Cazuela Española i had for dinner was of very questionable quality, the octopus was awfully hard to chew. The welcome drink is not up to the standard of Radisson.
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice swimming pool with heated water and jacuzzi.
Cons: Breakfast is not a 5 star quality Fried eggs and omelette is extra charge I asked for omelette and insists for it because I don’t eat meat they give me an exception.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location, swimming pool
Cons: Internet included was too slow, and charged for faster connection (unbelievable). Breakfast was repetitive and without alternatives for gluten intolerant.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable hotel.
Cons: The breakfast could have been better regarding bread and fresh fruits and cheese.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Overall rooms need some updating but they are clean and very comfortable
7.1 Good
Pros: Location is perfect, view - also! Everyone are very nice
Cons: Breakfasts are very poor. Hotel is very old and wasn’t renovated recently. Showers are broken or work poor in my number and numbers of my colleagues.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: The night of Terror! Had an Awful experience in this hotel. Two strangers entered my room at 3 in the morning, I woke up in terror. As it turned out they were the "courtesy girls" for a special guest, but they were not accompanied by the hotel personal. Why they ended up in my room with a key to open the door, is a mystery. No re-compensation of any kind was offered by the hotel, and they charged me full amount for the night of horror.
6.3 Good
Pros: They are hospitable and try and keep up with standards
Cons: The hotel is old and rundown, lacks maintenance and the room was very noisy, could hear a party that was close by and the pipes rattled every time someone used the WC
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, bathroom. One free water bottle. A welcome drink. Map of the city.
Cons: Feather pillows. Allergic.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: excellent breakfast and good location. the staff was helpful and the coffee machine in the room was supplied daily with good coffee
7.9 Good
Pros: The shower was great The room had a musty smell The kettle took to long to heat
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very comfortable and clean and the location was great. The breakfast was good (although there could be more items variety due to the high cost).
Cons: The hotel has central heating, so in our opinion, the temperature was set very high and it was extremely hot inside the room. This was a very negative point, because it was very uncomfortable to stay inside the rooms and mainly to sleep. The value of the garage space and the breakfast were not included in the daily price, so at the end, for a big family like ours, the total cost was very high. Although this was specified in the reservation, it is confusing because it seems that the value is low, but in general, it is not.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a nice experience
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room we stayed in (701) for three days was large and spacious, with a nice compact bathroom with a small tub. Everything was clean and the bed is comfortable. Our bedroom had an extra bed that we didn't use. Staff were very helpful and some even spoke Brazilian Portuguese! We had some problems with neighbors staying on room 702 doing a lot of noise at 1am, but calling reception solved the issue. Breakfast seemed just pretty good at first, but after later stays at other hotels in Uruguay I realised it was the best I had had in Uruguay. It is a buffet with medialunas, dulce de leche, pastries, fruit salad, juices and yogurt... It's pretty complete. The location is also really good, being close to Plaza Cagancha, which is a nice square not far from the old city gate.
Cons: The juice in the breakfast was not freshly squeezed and as such didn't taste as good. The bed, despite being announced as double, was actually two single beds put together. They fit together pretty decently though, and this was not an issue. Coffee lovers: the coffee is really low quality, they're even worse than traditional Brazilian supermarket coffee, with a burnt smell. Consider though that this was true for all places I stayed in Uruguay, even 4 star hotels. There's the option to pay for a good quality espresso, but that'll cost you three dollars (yes, dollars).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: When I have to attend any meeting at Montevideo the Oxford hitel usually is my choice. I recomend. Luiz
Cons: Xxxz
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good english speaking staff Spacious rooms
7.1 Good
Pros: The hotel location is very good even homless people sleep infront of the hotel.

4.2 Okay
Pros: Nothing special to mention.
Cons: The hotel was chosen for free parking, however they only had space for 5 cars that we could see in the underground parking so actually no parking to speak of. The toilet was dirty on arrival, hallways were dirty, curtains had lots of dust from the air conditioner, Mould on shower /bathroom roof the sheets on the bed had somebody elses hair inside when we got into bed. A simple request for extra towels was not attended to. After complaining about the dirty bath/toilet it was apparently cleaned, but it was not. We had to request cleaning staff again. The Wifi did not work the first night we stayed.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very good.
Cons: The shower cabin had no door which meant that the bath room floor went very wet all over after showering. There was a constant noice from a loose flag outside the window.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, walking distance to many sights and eateries. Great breakfast!
Cons: Bathroom needs some attention. The spa bath was not operational and could not have been for a while.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location
Cons: A bit noisy
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast included on the price. The variety to choose breakfast was very good.
Cons: The shower didn’t have a door or curtain. While showering the water went out of the shower place into the bathroom floor and run out to the bedroom, due to this problem the water is damaging the wooden tiles in the room.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Internet in the room was unstable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff: very friendly! Breakfast: very good! Location: Excellent; in the center of Montevideo. Internet: strong signal; Rooms: very comfortable; big room, plenty of space, very clean, full of closets to organize very well the personal belongs; safe box in the room; air cond/heat working perfect; nice table inside the room with 2 chairs, nice desk, quiet. Cons: I like everything!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The front desk staff were quite helpful, especially “Huaking” who told us how to use the public transportation to get around. Great location- walking distance to the old town. There’s a good restaurant Fogon near by.
Cons: Bathroom towels were not enough - no wash towels, only bath towels. Facilities in this hotel are out dated, and need a face-lift.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: I like the flor without rugs
Cons: People from the Desk really not fríendly, two of them really with but behavior, unrespectfull and even in the weather was so cool the heather in the rroom was out of order and they did not find Any solution even if I preyed for it. Now from my arrival yo my country I have a terrible cold probably due To this reason. The most severe problem is the low quality of human service and comunication. I travel a lot for work and is one if the worst experience Ever. We felt really bad, treated not as a guest,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was spacious and well appointed.
Cons: No in room kettle for tea or coffee, not a big deal.
